That coat was brilliant and made in a day!!! Will be great for the cold weather. Loved your Shop Hop, I don’t quilt and never will but am addicted to watching yours. Love the vlogs ❤️❤️❤️
You rock. After a root canal I would be in bed. Nice coat it will keep you toasty when it’s cold. Dresses look awesome. Don’t forget to show us finished projects.
I really like the changes in the Nancy’s Notions catalog. Also, my sister and I were so fortunate to go to the Connecting ThreadsWarehouse sale. What a blast! Tons of knitting items. Tons of $3-5 quilt kits. Lots of notions. We had so much fun.
such a productive sick day! Love the jacket, saw that video and remembered I had purchased a pattern to make one. Wanted a rose colored boiled wool, not finding one, but did find a polar fleece in a beautiful deep rose, raspberry. Thanks for the push to make one. Quilt is beautiful, love the ivy quilt pattern. Every time I get a NN catalog if seems to change. Have a great weekend and thanks for sharing!
Becky, I loved going on the shop hop with you. I grew up in Yoakum and between traveling to Football games in the marching band, Rainbow Girl meetings and my sisters living all around I am pretty familiar with all the places you went. I look forward to finding these out of the way quilt shops. Thanks!
There is no keeping you down, root canal and all. Sewing can take your mind off of things. I hope your tooth pain is better soon. Thanks for the shop hop. What fun!
I saw that coat pattern on another channel and got the pattern. Simple but looks great. Really like the off center button closure and the pockets. Appreciate the fleece tips. Hope you're feeling better quickly.
I’ve had bad root canal and I’ve had good ones. I got my catalog too. I know that Nancy made patterns and I think they are in in simplicity. I am going to hit up some of the quilt stores.
Thank you Becky for all the videos on your experiences with going to the ShopHop stores! It was fun to see other area's quilting stores! I hope you heal soon from your root canal!
I’m two weeks post hip surgery and so going on your shop hop was great. My sweet sister has been here to help me and she has reorganized my sewing/craft room. The good thing about living alone is I can spread all my stuff in other closets. I plan on staying home one more week then back to work the last week of June. Hoping to sew some next week. I have to go to therapy 3 days a week so theses first two weeks have pooped me out. Ready to get back in my routine. Thanks for your videos. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the shop hop tours. Always love to see what other shops carry and I can look, not touch, and not buy. LOL Oh yes, there has been several changes at Nancy's Notions over the past 6 months, change is hard but I still love the store. I live 2 hours away exactly 100 miles from my door to Nancy's Notions door (I am from Southwest WI on the WI River). The bare knit fabric sold in Nancy's catalog is really easy to work with and makes the best feeling/hanging clothing. Also, really live your fleece coat but we just get a bit too cold here for a fleece coat for winter, but it would work for fall. Thanks again for your videos.
Hope you continue do recoup with the root canal, not something fun to do, ha. We will say a prayer for you. Thanks again for sharing. Love your videos.
I hate having any dental work done, especially root canals! Ick! I hate pain! Loved the shop hop by the way. Watched all the videos. That coat is cute. I know what you mean about fleece. I sewed a long house robe a few months ago and it was a booger to cut out. But I got it together. I got the Nancy’s Notion catalog in a few days ago but I just kind of flipped through it so I didn’t notice the clothing patterns. They have really revamped the catalog where it’s a little easier to peruse than before. Before it seemed very cluttered. Thanks for the videos. Love your channel.
Well bless your heart! I hope yours turned out as well as mine did. I'm about 30 hours post op now and doing pretty good. I WISH I could nap! I try and try, but I just can't. My mind gets to going and... well, you know. LOL Hope you heal quickly!
How do I get so much done? Well,...we don't have kids at home and we don't go out to eat. So that leaves a lot of time at home when I'm not in the office. Plus, I don't really do huge projects, just a bunch of little ones. :) Thanks for watching!
I love leaves, Love the jacket and the color. I paid for 1,700.00 for the root canal and cap. It went bad and now 10 months later I have to 3 teathe pulled I got a hug cavity under the cap. I there is a bad Dr. or DDS I seem to find them. Not happy.
Hi Becky. Another geat video, thank you. Just a thought re your pattern album. Why not photocopy the back and insert it in the pocket below the picture. Ta dah. Everything you need at a glance. Enjoy your glorious weather. We've got wind and rain here in the UK. Stay well, looking forward to hearing from you soon. Lilijana Howells
I certainly would not have guessed a winter coat, lol. I have had a bunch of root canals. Hope I never need another one. I was totally wondering what was in that box! So glad you showed us. What do you do with the 10" squares. I have a big collection now, and all I can think of is half-square triangle quilts.
Hi Joy, Moda Bake Shop has a site with lots of "recipes" (aka patterns) for Layer Cakes (10" squares) and all their other pre-cuts. Scroll down along the side of the page in the link below and look to the right side of the page (your right) and you'll see a vertical banner that says "Bakery". Every pre-cut that Moda makes is there and you can click on one of the images and they will show you patterns you can make with that precut. Pretty nifty! You'll need some extra yardage, which I'm sure you already have, but you should be able to find coordinating fabrics at MSQC or FatQuarterShop.com www.modabakeshop.com/
You’re amazing. Would you consider doing a tutorial on making that coat? I’m in buffalo, ny and as you know it gets really cold here from October to April. That looks like a good shopping/car coat. Not too bulky but warm.
I just might do a tutorial on the coat! That's a good idea. I have some orange-y fleece that would make a nice jacket without the hood. And you're right, it's a good car coat weight. Keeps you warm getting between the garage & front seat, but you won't roast while driving.
Thank you so much for sharing! You are amazing! I bought my granddaughter a sewing machine because i want her to learn. I’m horrible at it, any recommendation to find a teacher? i could hire, can use my newly renovated Jewelry craft room as a place. I had 5 major surgeries right then and still need to organize and set it up. I need help with it because I’m disabled. I need trust worthy, help around my home with care and want to teach my grandchildren the things I planned before I got too physically disabled. True+Honest! I’m sure Some of her friends and moms would totally be willing to attend classes. Sending a big virtual hug 🤗 So grateful! I was planning on teaching jewelry making, singing and guitar, piano with them.
You know? It is beyond me why pattern companies don't just stick with a single pattern number and leave it be. As you saw in my video, the pattern is S0363 and I've had it for years and years and you're right, I couldn't find it either. I was inspired to make the coat from an email I got the other day that linked to a video and I know the pattern was in the video (I went searching back in my mail for it for you) and I re-watched the video and it's S1067...and super easy to locate. So WHY did Simplicity change the number??? Ugh! LOL Enjoy!! Here is the video with fleece tips - th-cam.com/video/zCymlL2UU20/w-d-xo.html And here is the pattern www.simplicity.com/simplicity-storefront-catalog/patterns/brands/simplicity/simplicity-pattern-1067-misses-easy-to-sew-jacket-or-coat/
I have never had any trouble with my serger til I watched your video about yours messing up and buying a new one. Within a few days, my serger started breaking threads too! Did you ever figure out what was causing yours to do that? I’m trying to decide if I should just buy a new one or what. Mine is a Kenmore that is about 5-7 years old but not used much. I think I paid About $300.
Ha! I'm not taking the blame!! LOL No, I never did figure it out. And I've seen videos where users rave about that Janome but that's certainly not how it worked out for me. I quickly dropped $199 at Walmart for my 2nd Brother 1034 and it's worked like a champ right out of the box. I was pretty hard on it for that fleece coat too because if you notice, the pockets are sewn into the side seams. That's 4 layers of fleece serged at once with zero problems. I'm not saying what to do, but one thing I don't tolerate is my power tools that don't work properly. I'd probably get it serviced first before spending a ton on a new machine. Unless, you're angling for a new machine and then that's on you! LOL ;)
Would you ever consider doing a tutorial on how to do a FBA? I stopped garment sewing years ago after struggling with the fit especially thru the bust.
Honestly, I'm not that good at FBA's, which is why I usually sew with knits. I've taken class after class and I end up totally destroying my patterns (because I'm too lazy to trace them on to other paper first LOL). Here's a really good video tutorial on how to do FBAs in knits without a bust dart. th-cam.com/video/nzBkdrl1m5Q/w-d-xo.html
Another great video, love my early mornings with coffee and watching your ventures in sewing! It’s awesome!
That coat was brilliant and made in a day!!! Will be great for the cold weather. Loved your Shop Hop, I don’t quilt and never will but am addicted to watching yours. Love the vlogs ❤️❤️❤️
Awww, aren't you sweet? Thank you so much for that kind comment! :) Never say never... ;)
You rock. After a root canal I would be in bed. Nice coat it will keep you toasty when it’s cold. Dresses look awesome. Don’t forget to show us finished projects.

Did you? OMG!! I would have LOVED to have gone to the Connecting Threads. You lucky girl! Of course, my credit card would have melted down. LOL

Love that your room is still tidy, good on you
Mahalo again, I really enjoyed the shop hop, Aloha
Hi Becky. I left the shop hop thanks for doing that. Sorry to hear about your root canal today. That’s never fun.
I enjoy the chit chat of your day-- don't see how you do so much.
I love love love your videos!!! You’re putting me in the mood to start sewing more clothing!!!!
Yay! Sewing is good for the soul. :) ...brings down the blood pressure. lol
Becky, I loved going on the shop hop with you. Really glad you enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun too and so glad you could "come along". :)
Great coat love working with fleece .Love the patterns great dresses .🙋
There is no keeping you down, root canal and all. Sewing can take your mind off of things. I hope your tooth pain is better soon. Thanks for the shop hop. What fun!
I saw that coat pattern on another channel and got the pattern. Simple but looks great. Really like the off center button closure and the pockets. Appreciate the fleece tips. Hope you're feeling better quickly.
I like the quilt. The pattern would also be great for a t-shirt quilt!
I loved the shop hop videos. After Houston in November, I want to visit all those shops. Hope your root canal heals quickly.
really, really enjoyed the shop hop
Nice job, Becky

There would be no way I could be up and around after a root canal!! You go girl!!
Glad you are ok after your dental appointment. Got my Nancy notions catalog today and glad you explained the pattern part, it went over my head 😁
I would love to do a shop hop ! It looks like it’s a lot of fun.
Great tip on the fleece cutting. TFS
Great video, love the way you just chat and share your idea and thoughts. You rock.
Hope you continue do recoup with the root canal, not something fun to do, ha. We will say a prayer for you. Thanks again for sharing. Love your videos.
It was so great to go with you on the shop hop! 💕💕🧵 And loved all the stuff you shared 🥰
Loved the shop hop, that was so cool.
Youe coat looks awsome. like that pattern.
Hope you are on the mend and the sore mouth heals up real soon. As always, a great video. You make it all seem so easy. Do take care.🥰
I love the fleece coat. You did an awesome job.
Always love your videos. Love the coat, I don't do fashion often but I might do a jacket. lol
Dental work is so not fun, but you're certainly hanging in there with grace & good cheer. 😁 Your coat is lovely!
Love your coat! You're gonna stay snuggly warm this coming winter.
Thanks for sharing your shop hop

Hey, Becky. I had a root canal Wednesday morning too. I didn't sew in the afternoon tho, I took a two hour nap. 😉
Well bless your heart! I hope yours turned out as well as mine did. I'm about 30 hours post op now and doing pretty good. I WISH I could nap! I try and try, but I just can't. My mind gets to going and... well, you know. LOL Hope you heal quickly!
Hi Becky, just a line to let you know that I truly enjoy your vids. Tfs. Diana
I love your videos! How do you get so much done? You always amaze me. Thanks for sharing the shop hop!
How do I get so much done? Well,...we don't have kids at home and we don't go out to eat. So that leaves a lot of time at home when I'm not in the office. Plus, I don't really do huge projects, just a bunch of little ones. :) Thanks for watching!

Oh bless your heart! Tooth pain is just miserable. I feel ya. I hope you find someone who can fix you up. ((Hugs))
Hi Becky ; thank you for sharing :) please let us know about the sew along date .
I will be putting out instructions around June 20th.
Taco by has Nancy’s notions now
A coat made in the am! Wow It would take me much longer!!!

I see you have a lot of Villa Rosa Designs. Do you have the Mosaic and have you made it. I would love to see it.
I don't have the Mosaic. I'll have to look for it along my travels. Thanks!

Power Tools with Thread It’s my favorite thing in the world. 🤗💐🙏🏼

@@PowerToolsWithThread Thanks Becky ☺️
Excuse my ignorance here, but what is FBA?, maybe we know it as something different here in Ireland
Merci
Fantastic video as usual :)
That's a Full Bust Adjustment where you add more fabric in the front bodice to go around the girls. :)
Becky, loved the coat. Are you losing weight! Your face seems to be getting thinner!😀
Use a warm -- not too hot, iron on that UPS label, it should peel right off!
I'll try that iron trick on the label. Thanks!
you should have bought a notebook and buy those plastic thing you can slide things into it.
Tacony
the coat needs to be taken in at the waist. looks too big on you, sorry.
