Love this thing. There are a ton of acres around my home where a weed eater won't do it but a full size machine will not fit. Like a 3ft wide strip between a building and a steep hill. It's rough terrain and a real challenge to manage. There is also a soft area near a flood zone where a heavy machine would just sink. Plus this thing fits through the fence gate.
With that size cutter and the size of the mini skidsteer it would be the perfect thing for cutting walking paths or mountain bike paths in wooded areas. Also would be perfect for trail maintanence on existing paths.
That is a neat little rig. Don't want to burst a bubble but Ventrac with the tough-cut 68-inch bush hog could handle that particular area for probably half the price of the machine. And also have a larger cut. Of course, it won't mulch it up, but with the versatility of the Ventrac, you can always have another clean-up attachment with you, such as the power bucket and or landscape rake.
Personality. The head needs to be a foot wider on both sides. But, i get the concept. The machine is built for tight spots, with that being said, those TMC heads are the real deal
I just 'discovered' these mini mulchers about a week ago. This video is a coincidence. Nice to see you trying one out. This thing would be perfect for my needs :-)
This great little mulcher is like a crevice tool on a vacuum cleaner; just the right size for hard to reach areas but too small for a big room. I really appreciate the demonstration. Could that Bosch Rexroth engine handle more hydraulic flow? Seems that a faster spinning drum would be ideal for this material.
Even though great for small spaces I bet it is hard for you to be patient with it doing such small amounts after using your big equipment. It would be for me.
Looks like the one Outdoors with Eric was using. Fits thru the gates in a backyard, and would save your back. Looks like it Chops up larger brush than the Flail mower!!
Ferntree sells an OSMA SSK 90 and SSK 100 mulching head for STL's. Downside is that these heads are rated for 35+ hp and at least 15 gpm. This head seems perfect for most STL's with a 25 hp motor and 13-15 gpm hydraulic systems. I have been looking for a mulching head to compliment my Blue Diamond mowing deck and this would be a sweet addition. THanks.
They should make a TMC that has two mulching drums rotating in the direction as to draw everything up and into it which would eliminate material being shot out under the machine 😊
Wpu;d be a great little machine for backyards and smaller spaces where you still have a lot of brush, but limted space for a bigger machine, just not good for hotter weather.
Two guys with weed eaters spinning Oregon brand mulcher blades would probably handle most of that but they won't grind up the debris nearly as well. Maybe one guy with a walk behind brush mower would do the same work for less outlay?
Only thing I think this machine is missing is a "Roll Cage" which is strong enough to protect the operator from "Widow Makers" and if you install the "Roll Cage", why not put a perforated plate roof on it as added protection from the "Widow Makers" and the sun as well.
This baby machine is being demonstrated in the wrong context. The work it is doing, is best suited to a larger machine. Perhaps if it was demonstrated in a very overgrown large back yard property, it might be useful.
How much do they cost? I’m looking at the CID bush hog for my MT 100. I would probably guess these are in the $10-$15,000 range. Great job as always Davin.
@@idigit4967 Davin that sounds more realistic. It will be interesting to see people using these on TH-cam. You definitely did a good presentation with it today. Most of the projects I work on I sell myself as the company that can get in tight areas. Maybe one of these will be in my future.the one thing I noticed was you had to back up a lot and hit it twice. Do you think when it gets the new carbide teeth it’s gonna be the same?
The algorithm is paying attention to what you watch, your comments on said videos. It's called technocracy. It's happening to me as well. Deleting my comments disappearing my channels. Unsubscribing me from some of my favorite channels.
You've got me tempted to rent one of these things just to clean out a narrow strip along my back yard with fallen trees and fairly heavy brush. Can't run a mower because there's far too much loose stone in there, but it would be ideal to convert into a wildflower garden for butterflies and bees.
I like this but if you can sharpen a carbide saw blade what are you saying you can’t sharpen carbide teeth and to be honest I have cut bigger trees with my brush hog
i think based on the video the cutting head should be much bigger. the thing is massive for the tiny cutting head. not sure what the ideal category for this thing is. WAY to big to using in landscaping and way to small for work in any kinda brush or wooded area. might need a little more power. I sure as shit don't want to see what they are asking for it.
It seems like a very capable machine but I'm not sure of the application. Why not just use a skid steer mulcher? This machine although it's capable, just seems like a lot of screwing around.
I saw OutdoorswithEric had a similar setup on a Vemeer machine cleaning up scrubs and vines behind an old funeral home. I would love to use that on a friend's horse farm here in Oh. that I help her with as much as I can. She is 91 yrs old. There are several places that would be perfect for.
How much do they cost? I’m looking at the CID bush hog for my MT 100. I would probably guess these are in the $10-$15,000 range. Great job as always Davin.
@@ReelFloridaOutdoors Definitely not cost effective. I have a few acres that I pay my neighbor to bush hog. I'm out about a hundred bucks a year to get it cut. For the price of a tractor I can have it cut for the rest of my life and save thousands of dollars.

This man is making it harder to hide bodies and easier to find Bigfoot lol.

Great job Devon. That little mini Munchie does a fantastic job. It is ideal for landscape projects!!
That would be a landscapers dream....
Awesome demo Davin! Wonder if that head is available w/o a case drain cause the bobcat mt100 doesn’t have one?
What a perfect area to demonstrate that baby's capabilities! Enjoyed watching! Thank you for sharing!👍👍
All that bouncing around while standing would make for damn long day.
There is a TH-camr lawn guy here in Michigan that uses a Vermeer mini skid with a Ferntree? mulcher like this. He does a lot of work with it.
Outdoors with Eric
Does great work
I could have used this machine a million times over. I like that it is small enough to get into back yards !!! Nice work !!!
This type of narrow machine would be perfect for those hard to reach jobs like in between houses and sides of fence lines.
That's a badass lil unit!
"...To stand, where no man has stood before..." Take care, working off that open step cab when the head's raised.
Personality. The head needs to be a foot wider on both sides. But, i get the concept. The machine is built for tight spots, with that being said, those TMC heads are the real deal
That's what I was thinking as well if the head was a bit wider
That's a nice mulcher head. The only other one I've seen is the SSK model. There's not too many out there for mini skid. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Devin, I watch another channel #outdoorswitherik, he has one of those.👍
It’s a mini munchie 🙏♥️
That unit is cool af
Good job and video Brother. You are right it is for a niche market
Cool little machine but I’d still rather have a skid with a A/C cab that keeps the hornets away. Thx for the vid.
The cutting head needs to be wider.
I just 'discovered' these mini mulchers about a week ago.

Great for small spaces.
Nice little machine.be good for close areas around buildings or homes.good video.be safe 😎😎😎👍👍👍
I would Rent it...but wouldn't buy it.
If...I was a Landscaper. I would just hire out a guy like you. With a full on brush-mulcher.
Hey Davin, how's the ac on the new machine. What are you going to do when you hit that Yellow Jackets nest.
This great little mulcher is like a crevice tool on a vacuum cleaner; just the right size for hard to reach areas but too small for a big room.

Nifty little machine.
Very nice
Nice video Davin.
I Definitely Like that Machine..😎👍✅
I might have to Look Into Renting One of Those.😎
Machine looks good cutters aren't bad little narrow but not bad what happens when you hit a beehive with no cab
Wow loved that machine!! Was thinking for some of your "intown" jobs you do, this one would be perfect Im sure! Anyway, great vid!
Fantastic job today and you might ought to look into getting a face shield
You need one with all the city jobs you do it would be perfect 😊
Even though great for small spaces I bet it is hard for you to be patient with it doing such small amounts after using your big equipment. It would be for me.

You have all the fun stuff in the USA! 😂
for sure the small head is ideal for small area between three
When I buy one of those I am gonna carefully and precisely select only properties with gum trees and weeds to clear. Should be successful.
It's too small for your jobs. Dangerous standing on this equipment. Nice looking piece of equipment.
I wonder if that head would work on a Ventrac. Seems like the mulcher would be a good match for it.

Great commercial....
Does the Wacker have the 24 or 36 inch plate? You’ll need an adapter plate to run it on Greg’s machine if he has the bobtach plate.
That hydraullic motor is enormous.
What if I had the tip of a boulder sticking up in the lawn? Will the carbides handle that?
Diamond wheel for grinder will reshape those carbides
They should make a TMC that has two mulching drums rotating in the direction as to draw everything up and into it which would eliminate material being shot out under the machine 😊
Impressive machine. Do you see this as something you would add to your equipment? Could you use it for touch-up and hard to reach areas?
How much would this setup cost and do the have a military discount or would your discount be better
Is it just surface grinding but how deep will it go
Wpu;d be a great little machine for backyards and smaller spaces where you still have a lot of brush, but limted space for a bigger machine, just not good for hotter weather.
How wide is the cut? Looks kinda small. Although it is doing the job.
The bad thing about that machine is you are in the elements sleet, snow, rain or heat.
Cute little machine ya got there…. Looks stable????? Thanks sir
Hi Davin & it''s is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Davin & Friends Randy
to be honest i think that should have some kind of guard to help the chips drop sooner on the front. just for a bit more safety.
i could use that at my home u can come to Shreveport La. and visit just bring the mulcher
It would be interesting to compare the performance of this mulcher with a 48" hydraulic flail like a Cangini TC or a Peruzzo
Two guys with weed eaters spinning Oregon brand mulcher blades would probably handle most of that but they won't grind up the debris nearly as well. Maybe one guy with a walk behind brush mower would do the same work for less outlay?
Rent this thing? Nah. I'd rather just call you.
What model Kreedom Sunglasses are those?
I can see that something that this is only good for small application. Like small back yards and cutting trails.
i like very much, wish it was just a littler wider

No cab mulching is a BAD HORRIFIC idea. I have heard of too many people hitting ground hornets.
You hit those even mowing.
How wide is it n how much it cost
I’ll take one
Awesome! Call CCE at 704-363-6432 and they can get one shipped to you!
I got a kabota scl1000 that would work good on!
Better bring a mask and eye/head protection.
I was thinking a full-face motorcycle helmet
Nice, gas or diesel engine?
Diesel

i’d want a wider head add fingers to keep tall stuff saplings away from me. a debris door self sharpening teeth or non sharpening teeth
I would like to rent on😢 of them for are gun club are they in Michigan
just a guess, im thinking this little machine is somewhere in the 50,000 ranch as setup here.
Where? How much? I'm lost Wheres the flow setting? I guess I'm just spoiled 🤪🤪
Fantastisch Good work mix Tank mulching thans the video the famey the House te natuur best fried Top weekend 😅🧢😎🎧🌿🌾🧤🌤👌🍹🚚🪤🚜
Why does TH-cam keep unsubscribing me from this channel 😮

Too small for your jobs. Might be useful for backyard jobs, or where accessibility is an issue.
That's exactly what he said. Perfect for landscaping companies that already have a stand on skid steer.
It looks too small even for this machine, maybe another 5 inches
From Australia weirdest looking gumtree I've ever seen

Yeah but you can't get a bushhog through a 36 in. Gate into a backyard 😊

欲しいですね。

Too narrow.
It seems a little small, I think the other teeth would be a big difference,

Many landscapers don't own skid steers but do own these smaller mini skids.
It is narrow enough to fit through many backyard gates that a skid steer would not be able to.

Just a glorified stump mulcher................
слабая производительность! 👎👎👎
Way too much talking.
not impressed
