- Getting to the bottom of where these machines are made and who actually makes them isn’t an easy task. I have located the manufacturer and have a factory tour to share with you.
I ordered my machine from Dean Sun at Derette on Alibaba. Click here to see the machine I bought and contact Dean. Let him know how you found him.

This man from the factory wws very humble and down to earth! It does look like they make a quality product! There in no manufacturer here in the states that makes this type of equipment!
Agreed. And if someone did make machines like that here, we couldn’t afford them. lol
Keep em coming. I’m excited to learning more about the process and the machine. Thank you for all your time spent putting these videos together. God bless
Awesome, I’m glad you find value in them. I’m kinda having fun doing them. lol
Nice Video! How funny when you wave the worker that in assembly line 😂
Haha that made me laugh as well. Thanks George.
Thanks for the video. I have a few thousand hours in Bobcats but maybe 8-10 hours on the stand behind model. This company looks like they make a very high quality series of machines.
Thanks for putting this together.
Thank you. I appreciate the comments!
They look very well made you chose well
Thank you. I like it. So far it’s awesome.
Impressive to see how open this manufacturer is, nothing to hide.
I agree! I was super impressed. He has sent me a lot of detail on the machines.
Honestly one of the more concerning things when it comes to the future of Chinese industry versus Western. The west is so concerned with IP nonsense, proprietary ecosystems, and locking down everything, while CN is making increasingly high quality and much more open/well documented/repairable machinery. West could learn from Chinese industry, even just in attitude to the customer.
There is truth to that. Hurts to admit. If every salesman was as attentive as Dean was on this machine, the world would be a better place!
These are commodity machines now, all you need is a big enough CNC plasma, brake, and hydraulic parts bin and you have 95% of the job sorted. Domestic equipment manufacturers are sleepwalking, pretending their special sauce is a vastly better product when most of it is sales and marketing. We can still build world class product but it takes passion and vision beyond the next quarter's results and that is not as common as we need it to be.
@@sansbury95agreed.
What we need to understand is that the Chinese have developed all the skills required to make a good quality machine now. The ordinary Chinese people are hardworking and enterprising and they have succeeded despite their government autocrarcy. I have found out that they are mostly trust worthy business partners. They have learned from the Americans well.
The salesman I bought my machine from has probably the best customer service I have ever encountered.
Chinese government is just as hard-working and humble as the individuals, it's cultural.
Any stigma you have against them is due to MSM prop. You can learn more even on youtube through channels like Jerry's take on China.
Or just go visit China and find the truth for yourself, it will absolutely change your mind.
@baichuanren885 yes and channels like inside china business opened my eyes to china.
Chinese government is actually good at leading their people to good lives
You must not know anyone from modern day China
The guys at the factory really know how to use their floor space.
Haha that’s true!
Thanks for the video, I enjoy your detailed videos thanks
Thank you. I appreciate it the feedback.
Yes...thank your....thank yur bye bye.
Great video tour and the details and the time he took to video the whole facility was quite informative.
Haha yeah it was awesome he sent me so many videos. I like this one. I also like the one where he shows the machine that cuts them. That’s next.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
Stump grinder video i'm brimming with anticipation. If by any chance you got a woodchipper, well... That would just be the creme de-la- creme. And obviously a grapple 👍
I used the stump grinder today for the first time. It works really well. Video coming soon! I have a grapple but no wood chipper.
I've always been fascinated with these Chinese factories. It's as if they are all genius's, but with a lot of limited resources...working together to produce whatever products they see people want. They make a platform machine, open source parts, that you can afford at an entry price. You have to then go back over it and replace the cheap components such as switches and knobs. It's like a Jeep. You buy it, then replace the crappy mopar v6 with a Chevy v8, then the off road suspension, better parts, wheels, tires, and mods. Why buy it at a premium if you are just going to mod it? The average Joe can replace all these little cheap chinzy parts that saved you up front money. Platform and open source. No liability cause you bought a product as-is from another land.
Agreed. Never really thought of it that way, but you are right. That’s how my mini excavator seems to be. I done have anything to upgrade on this one yet though. Just change the LED lights to flood lights for a wider beam, add a tool storage area under the hood, tie down points on the rear and a place to mount my tripod and camera gear. Haha.
As always, another great and informative video. Thanks for all that you do sir!
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Dude for real keep these videos coming I love skids machines
That’s the plan. Thank you. I just a now getting to use these machines but so far it’s awesome.
Awesome information! Thanks
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback.
Thank you for posting the video!!!
I appreciate the feedback!
Thanks for the vids. You've got me interested in the 450 like yours.
So far, I recommend getting one. It seems amazing. I’ll keep using it and see what I can learn about reliability and longevity.
Thanks for the feedback.
Excellent video. Quality looks awesome.
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Great video. I want one for my land. Had a hoarder and squatters.
Thank you. I appreciate it. It’s awesome.
Sorry to hear about the squatter and hoarder.
I didn't see manufacturing lines with workers producing parts or assembling already made parts. One worker was doing welding for the arms. The arms were sent out for powder-coating. More could be done in another building. Looking forward to your next upload where the laser cutting is done.
Agreed. Lots more done besides in that room. I did upload another video with a tour of a different factory where they use the laser cutter. It’s interesting for sure.
Nice video...thanks for sharing

HAHAHA THAT WAS MY V1000! Bunners Land & hardscape design!!!! Love it! Can't beat it for the cost
That’s awesome! I saw it and had to google your company to see where it was going! I saw in your company’s Facebook, you have a Kubota mini skid in a photo. How do they compare? Or do you have the v1000 yet?
What was the cost?
@@OurLifeInTrees it runs almost just like the kubota scl1000. No complaints at all well worth 15k shipped to my door!

They use those rolling overhead cranes!
I saw that later when I saw the video on a TV. Couldn’t see it on my phone. (I know I know, I shouldn’t be editing on my phone). lol.
I look forward to you covering the ditch digger, stump grinder, any input on their mulcher and more on their brush hog! Good job on your coverage of the 450!
Thank you. I appreciate it.
So far the trencher is a big win, the stump grinder I need to practice with, the brush cutter is AMAZING!!! Videos coming soon.
Great Video Presentation for this factory. I like that VT1000 with the diesel. Wish it had automatic bucket leveling, otherwise it will dump that dirt in your face.
I like that one too. I’d really like to get one to try out next. If anyone can dump a bucket of dirt on their face, I’m that guy! lol.
@@OurLifeInTrees When you are loading a truck or trailer with high sides, it's a risk because you are focused on not damaging the sides of the truck/trailer. Last thing you want is a bunch of 6" rocks falling out dinging up your loader hood and ricocheting off your hood into your face.
looks nice 👍

very good Sean Ireland
Thank you. I appreciate the feedback!
I’m a long ways away from you in Oklahoma, USA.
Great video. New Sub from NE Okla. Keep it up
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Another Okie! Nice. I live in Norman and have a place is SE Oklahoma, east of Talihina.
Woooh! I want one.....!!!
That’s what I said!!
No OSHA there... lol... Thanks for this great info
Agreed. OSHA would not approve.
There maybe some safety violations. But they aren't super major and unfixable. I see some PPE ( personnel protective equipment) being used. There are clear and unblocked exits during an emergency. The factory layout is not-cramped, with parts generally kept in their designated places.
I did not see fire extinguishers, exit signs etc. They could be there, simply not showing up on the video. The possible violations are the PPE (helmets), safety labelling and markings and noise isolations. But then, we do know not the Chinese OSHA stands on these either.
very good
Thank you.
Just found your channel. I am following closely on the skid steer.
Awesome. I appreciate the support
Wow wow wow… great stuff.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
So we happy they are kicking our asses on making stuff we should be making
Not sure about that, I’m happy that someone makes a machine is little people can afford to buy and use around our properties. I can’t afford an American sold machine.
An American worker would want $30+ an hour to do the same job.
@@Blueknight1960oh im sure you are right.
In 1983 a Southern California sister manufacturing plant in India paid basic workers 25 cents a day.
That was what the cost to rework bad crap sheet metal parts we had a Southern California stamping company make.
So the rejected parts got shipped to India to rework them rather than scrap them. The usa vendor would pass 1st article inspections then mix in failed ones later since jerks.
So we had to sort the parts after a month since the usa vendors were cheats. Was a maddening mess..as soon as all was good they cheated again. They would run the presses faster and quality would drop when you did not constantly hound them and reject entire lots of all parts.
That's the cost if dealing with an outside vendor. Have to do constant watching and quality controls since bad work ethics and did not care.
So later we moved all sheet metal to India . In house since under one roof.
India had lower yield strength sheet metal too. So that was an issue.
It was cheaper to build the sheet metal parts in India with single die bending fixtures than use a progressive die in the usa. So an army of India workers and old technology won.
The progressive die in the usa would in theory be cheaper if the vendor bought the better controled sheet metal as for thickness tolerance and yield strength.
In house production in the usa allows you to visit the production and catch the jackassery of crap.
The sad part is once your competition A moves overseas the cost for Company B to build a product in the usa.
The usa also has a hatred for manufacturing too. Tax wise..
So the Tax man locally often taxes your tooling each year. Ie a 100k tool gets taxed at 2k to 3k whether used or not.
So you ship the tooling overseas towards middle production since not taxed there. Ie the sellout masses in the usa want businesses taxed more so to survive tooling is either scrapped or sent overseas.
Overseas a tool can be pulled off the shelf and used again to make spare parts.
Here in the usa many local countries Tax your tooling each year. A local property tax. So a tool at some point has more year tax than what it creates. So is scrapped or sent overseas where manufacturing tooling us not taxed.
No our government kicked our a----s out of manufacturing. Way too many laws and rules. So they made it easy to do your manufacturing overseas. Bet they don't even have an OSHA.
A lot of information - I would like to connect to see the buying process and howlong everything took. Great video - tour makes me feel more comfortable buying from them. Looking forward to hearing back from you - keep those videos coming
Thanks. Yeah it is really cool he gave me that tour. It too about 2 months start to finish to get to me.

nice simple design. i have owned small machines. couple of them good. one was no good, new motor. then it was just fine. anything is hit an miss. i am thinking about getting a little spot. hate this city life. doctors are close. i will be looking again. a man needs to play.

Crazy I clicked the link and the same skid steer came up that’s on the video but there was no options to add extra weights and I got a couple attachments and the loader. The shipping was $38,000 so my total for everything was $49,000, I’ll just buy American.
What link did you click? I paid about $8500 shipped to me in Oklahoma. I didn’t click the options, I talked to the sales rep, Dean, and he set it all up for me.
I will remove earlier comment I spoke with Dean. I believe he got me the whole set up for 12,580 shipped to me to my door at Florida. Thanks for the TH-cam video.

Thanks for the video, Do you know of a good Chinese manufacturer of mini excavators? I' m looking for a quality 2-Ton machine with the same Honda 2cly gas engine as your mini skid steer?
I don’t have personal experience with any personally. I bought my mini excavator form a dealer here in Oklahoma. Try this Facebook group. Some of the guys in there have had good luck ordering from a few companies.
facebook.com/share/omhEmTiimLVXxXJr/?mibextid=K35XfP
I dont know if this video proves they are the manufacturers. We see things through american eyes which can be tricked. Maybe I missed it, but only the office doors had the company name. No name on building and no info on employee uniforms. None of the equipment had the company name. What if there are several different offices within that complex that all have access to the warehouse? What if "the manufacturer" is more of an association of various business kind of like what they are doing in Los Angeles with community commercial kitchens/restaurants where no individual restaurant has a name on the building, they share the same prep tables with other restaurants, and only offers food delivery (no pickup or dine in options). It's just a thought and do appreciate the video! Thank you for sharing.
I don’t disagree. We can all agree that the machines are made there and he certainly has access to where they assemble them. So there’s that. lol.
Chinese manufacturers are using supply chain, they did the design, parts or sections were made by many different factories, those factory may even have no idea what it for, in the end they did the total assemble, they call themself OEM manufacturer so don't have a fixed brand name.
@@jxmai7687 makes sense.
White box companies are nothing new in asia. Infact, most of our U.S. major brand computers in the 90's (with made in the U.S.A lables) were manufactured in Taiwan and other parts of asia. Shipped to the U.S. and assembled & Distributed by taiwanese/othre asian white box, sister, companies in the U.S.
I’m sure that’s true.
Did you correspond with the factory to choose ghe attachments. I don't see an option from the link.
Yes. I did it all through Alibaba. You can contact Dean through the link in the description. He sent me an invoice through Alibaba with everything we agreed on.
I wish they could just make them. So the rectangle tracks don't fall off every twenty minutes of work.
I have popped off a track a couple times in the 16 hours or so I’ve used it. I can put the track back on in about 5 minutes by myself. I now know to adjust the tension as well. Didn’t adjust the tension before.
I've watched all of your videos about your mini skid. What is the ground clearance? I'm wandering how this machine will do on a construction site in the mud.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
Good questions. The specs say it is 5” off the ground. No idea about mud. I suppose I have to figure these things out now don’t I? lol.
How much did it cost?
Mine was about $8500 shipped here to Oklahoma.
LOOK 6:02 at the 4 engine mount brackets inside the chassis. First machine they are only tacked in. Next machine properly welded. Which one did you get? I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to see if yours were only tacked. I'm curious if you even respond I hope you at least check.
Which one did I get? A completed one. Mike is a different model and has rubber isolators for motor mounts.
The first one doesn’t seem to be the finished product, does it? Look at 5:57. The sides are tacked on, the main chunk of the machine is tacked, there is even a a piece of angle iron holding it together. The second one looks like it may be ready to goto powder coat.
Why would you be curious if I respond? Do you think I’m hiding something over at my secret Chinese factory while I trick people to think I’m in Oklahoma with my videos? I reply to every comment.
The point of the video is to show what the manufacturing is really like, not a conspiracy to hide tricks.
Are mini skid attachments compatible across brands? Could I use a mini Bobcat bucket on the V1000?
Apparently these are compatible with the Toro Dingo and the Kubota loaders

Your new machine looks identical to the YTL-23-2 offered by KYMRON. Do you believe Derette manufactures the YTL23-2 for KYMRON?

hay guy.shit happens dusty day my brother use water because he thought the motor was hot. so he used water it mixed with the dust clogged the radiator and took out the middle piston. took a weekend to fix. like i said.
That stinks.
Looking at the factory leaved me with mixed emotions. Epa and unions as well as osha is why we can't have those factory's here. Just think about all the empty factory's in the rust belt where similar equipment could be made. A lot of the raw materials are shipped from the US to make them. Then the transportation to get the equipment here.
I think you mean that American corporations don’t want to pay American wages for labor, nor do they want to eat into their profits to protect us with safe, non toxic equipment. Without the EPA and OSHA, Americans would have no protections from greedy executives who aren’t doing the work and only see us as numbers on a spreadsheet. Blaming safety regulations for why American corporations don’t have manufacturing over here is disingenuous. Bosch (a german company) is American made. They follow all the rules, and they still enjoy hefty profits. They’re just not American run. So they’re good to their people.
Agreed. It’s pretty interesting and intriguing.
It's good to see China taking some pride in their workmanship. I imagine they probably still steal a lot of designs, as their idea of IP is vastly different than US and other parts of the world. It's not impossible to get qualify from China, but it can be so hit and miss. Also for machines like this, replacement parts availability?
They have parts in stock and can have them here within a week or two. Some of these parts are interchangeable with locally available parts. Derette is setting up a US distributor I think as well where parts will be available here in the US.
At 7:58 where he states Three PUMPS - and you ask if 3 pumps is overkill... I think we have Chinese to English problems. Just as Grease is referred to as "Butter". In the video - I only see ONE pump - with 3 hoses...
I'm in the process of purchasing a 3.5T Mini Excavator from Rippa. I believe they do manufacture. JOYT5 who distribute machines in Canada - state that Rippa makes their machines. But I sure am having difficulty getting Maintenance manuals etc. Haven't gotten the machine yet; only paid the deposit. In the waiting game. But asking for documented procedures, spec's; distance for proper track adjustment; etc. etc. They sent me a 102pg document - all in English - which mostly seems to be "don't tip over the machine; be careful; and all very general..."
There were three pumps. I think an issue is you don’t know what you’re talking about.
They have 3 pumps. The pumps are stacked and each hose is attached to a separate pump.
Never heard of the butter and grease swap before.
Yeah Rippa probably does make their own machines. The instructions often aren’t great.
Hi. nice video my concern if I buy any machine from china do they have pleny parts for these equipment?
thank you.
The engine is Honda, pumps are Parker, the motors are Danfoss, lines can be made anywhere, and most parts aren’t too hard to come by.
I need to dig into sourcing local parts. Good idea.
I would be interested to know what it cost after the initial agreement on price. What did it cost to get it to the usa?
With DDP shipping from China to Oklahoma. It’s was $2200 for the machine and $2100 for the attachments. DDP means it’s almost like ordering from Amazon or eBay. You pay the seller and the product arrives later and can even watch it with the tracking information.
interesting they are not using some sort of assembly lines for parts of it.
I agree. I was not expecting it to look like it does.
I have come across Loongsheen machinery and their operator claims they are the sole manufacturer of the V1000. Weird as he has lots of photos and videos from the same workshop as one in the video... Bit confused now....
Loongsheen, Infront, Hightop, etc all sell this machine and use the same factory for photos and videos. I have found no evidence that Derette doesn’t make them. No matter whose name is on them, they are great machines. lol

I think you’re looking at an assembly plant and not manufacturing plant. Where are the steel forming machines? Heavy presses?
In the next video which shows the next building where they have the CNC plasma machine and sheets of steel.
i would need a seat.
A seat would be nice. It’s nice to be able to walk off as well
I don't know for sure if this is the real manufacturer but I worked at two US manufacturers of similar equipment and the 'factory' in the video is far too small and inactive. It might be a rework facility but even that is too small. There were no assembly lines, laser or plasma cutters, welding robots, parts bins etc. And the real tell, a whiteboard for order processing. Even mcdonald's doesn't do that.
I know that they are a small company and there is another facility that has the laser cutters I will upload later.
I certainly know what you mean though, it’s not like a facility I have seen before.
Easy to Troubleshoot, so visible of the internal parts. Perhaps very painful for obtain replacement parts. Did not see the quality control over dimensional size and shape consistency. Looked for jigs to hold parts while welding and drilling.
Yeah I don’t know about the jigs. But somehow they all fit and parts are interchangeable.
I ordered a couple parts and had them here in 1 1/2 weeks.
Ofcourse OEM’s will never be disclosed just like that.
Probably not.
Why can't we make it in America
That’s a great question. There are some made here. But instead of costing $8500, they start at $40,000.
where do you get parts ?
From Derette. I just received some carbide cutting teeth from them for my stump grinder. Many of the parts are able to be sourced locally. Like the Honda engine and hydraulic hoses.
@@OurLifeInTrees are the threads for the hoses the same as standard ?
I don’t know. There is a hydraulic supply house near me that I may bring some spare hoses to and see if they can make them.

Crushed? It’s a stand on. Your jump off and run away just like the Kubota, bobcat, etc.
I’ve got some questions for you, about importing. Is there anyway I could contact you?

@@OurLifeInTreesI sent you an email
Replied.
i would stretch it out and put a seat.
Sounds like a cool idea.
@@OurLifeInTrees sure hope you get a chance to try it
Put Tarrif on this product , each and every thing coming from china to U.S must find a tariff
Do you think I was able to sneak this in through a tunnel or through our open southern border? Customs fees, duty, and taxes were paid on it when it came into port. I paid 43% of the sales price in shipping, tax, duties, and customs fees.
I went looking for one. The unit is at a low price, but the the shipping over $10,000. Lost interest
Holy crap! That’s crazy. You should talk to Dean with Derette, that’s my salesmen. My shipping to my door was like $2200.my machine shipped to me was $8500.
The American should drop their hypocrisy and admit and accept defeat in manufacturing.
😂😂😂😂
lol. I have to say, I love my machine.
Do the pins and bushings all have grease nipples?
Yes. There are plenty of grease fittings. Even on the attachment pins on the mounting plate.
What is the cost of this machine
The machine was about $8500 shipped to me in Oklahoma. All in was around $17k shipped to me in Oklahoma with all 9 attachments. I’ll have a cost breakdown video coming soon.
How much money $ that's what I want to know ?
It was about $8500 plus another $8k for attachments shipped to me here in Oklahoma.
@OurLifeInTrees 8500 For a skid steer with a Kubota, diesel engine is a great deal. Is it a 4 cylinder motor and what horse power is it ? I'm Assuming 40 60 80 100 horsepower ?
And 8500 for attachments, how many attachments did you get?And what were they? thanks in advance
@@rickybailey7123my machine has a gas powered Honda engine. It’s about 25 horsepower.
I bought the grapple, auger, land leveler, stump grinder, trailer hitch, pallet forks, brush cutter, and 4in1 bucket. All the shipped to me for $8k
I did not know that gringos were chineses' lovers
Gringos are like everyone else, want inexpensive products.
@@OurLifeInTrees You don't see what you are doing to yourselves... but hey, there is a reason why Chinese people are smart. In a few decades, your grandsons might be working in a Chinese man's factory producing "cheaper goods" thanks to you.

My $8500 purchase or the other $500+ billion that America spends importing from China every year?
“China Trade & Investment Summary
U.S. goods and services trade with China totaled an estimated $758.4 billion in 2022. Exports were $195.5 billion; imports were $562.9 billion. “

How much they run out ? $
About $8500 shipped to me in Oklahoma for the machine.
This is one way to go around sanctions go direct to seller loop hole. Look into American build custom mini skid steers best welders and material hand made 1000 times better and customer support is close by and field repair support
Around sanctions? I paid my taxes and import costs to America. No loophole here. I didn’t sneak it in across an unprotected border.
This machine and attachments would be an easy $80k for American. I paid under $17k all in. I barely had the $17k. I defiantly don’t have all your cash to the cost of a small house just to use in my yard. lol.
I mean china going around sanction. Do you think we can’t tell your put on by China giving a tour of there shop in China are you insane. It’s obvious your payed for this and pretending to sell Chinese instead of American
