HOLY CRAP I've messed with this exact thing on and off for two years and never got it to work. You are my hero! One question that's probably dumb - my expression pedals dont work. I tried Midi Learn in Archetype Petrucci with the Wah and Volume pedals and it's like it doesn't receive input. Also tried it on the input knob like you did and again looks like no input. Did I miss some little thing somewhere? I reset the FCB to factory defaults before I started.

Can I use those banks to control different plugis at the same time? I mean one bank for neural DSP, another one for reaper (loops, record, playback, etc.)

However, rather than going through a lengthy explanation on how to do it, I will ask you to please be patient until 09/20. We have a video scheduled that will explain how to get Gig Performer functionality in Reaper. Make sure to check your notifications around that date; I’m sure you will like it.

Hey everyone, just got the fcb1010, but have a scarlett 2i2 interface. will midi-to-usb cable from the footboard to the computer work?
Hello @danielcurrell4891, thank you for reaching out to us with your question. The only USB to Midi cable that is known to work consistently is the Roland UM-ONE MK2 Usb to Midi cable. The cheaper cables you find on Amazon, Ebay etc. cannot send the large data packets required by the FCB1010.
Also, if you have recent versions of NDSP you should be able to use the FCB1010 right out of the box. Even though the video is titled for Gojira X the steps work with all versions.

Do you think it's possible to control reaper with FCB1010 in order to armed/disarmed some tracks ?
I try to control Neural dsp plugins in reaper but I dit not succeed. (And I use 2 or 3 Neural dsp plugin in the same time...)
Maybe it's a better way to load my 5 or 6 presets on 6 tracks and armed/disarmed with the FCB1010 controller.

Hello @FlofarQ, thank you for reaching out to us. Yes it is possible to arm/disarm tracks in Reaper with the FCB1010 using the following action:
Track: Toggle record arm for track (‘insert your desired track number here’)
You will need to program the FCB1010 to send a Note midi message.

I finally got the 1-5 keys working but for some reason the 6-10 keys wont midi learn anything. The expression pedals work for pretty much anything but it does not carry over on my presets. Any help is appreciated.
Save the preset again, the presets contain the learned midi mappings

Before we begin we must note that if you’re using a USB to Midi cable the only one known to send the large data packets required by the FCB1010 consistently is the Roland UM-ONE mk2 USB MIDI Interface. The cheaper USB to Midi cables will not work. Here is a link:

If you have the Roland cable or you are using a dedicated midi interface then the issue usually lies with the programming of the editor. There should only be ‘NOTE’ messages 6-10 in the rows(see the editor in the video). ‘PC and CNT’ should be blank in those rows. If you see numbers other than ‘NOTE’ in those rows simply highlight the row and click disable and select ‘PC and/or CNT.’

my 6 though 10 buttons are not working with the midi learn function for the effects on the Neural program. pedals work great though. any advice?
Hello Regor, I’m assuming pedals 1-5 are changing presets and the expression pedals are working..
More than likely you have something else enabled for pedals 6-10. Go back to 01:39 in the video and make sure to disable everything on pedals 6-10 except Note and the Expression pedals.

@@guitarschoollive my CNT1 and Val 1 on 6-10 all read 0 unlike your video. those all populate as 0 as soon as I do the NOTE step in the video. i tried to use disable but that doesnt seem to effect them. other than that it looks the same as the video and i believe i followed the steps exactly.

well it was working in my ndsp plugins in stand alone mode with midi learn. The green config light never lit and now it's not working at all.any clue?

followed your video to a T. still cant get it the footswitch to do anything. factory reset and tried again. When i open the midi programmer , everything says off, could that be my problem?>

@@guitarschoollive Controlling transport with the arranger track ,several plug-ins, amps using solo set ups, waw and volume controls, with stock plug ins and effects.I did download the free version of Guitar rig. 6. Trying to set up cubase in a live performance with my back up vocals and down loaded midi keyboard files, some of my own keyboard playing. Just me on guitar and vocals and a drummer following the recorded tracks with the FCB1010.

@Guitar School Live I'm kinda new to this, but it almost sounds like I need 2 banks to do accomplish what I'm looking to pack in there , if that is possible ?
You can use as many banks as you deem necessary. Have you ever used Reaper live instead of Cubase? The reason I’m asking is twofold.
1. It’s much more flexible
2. It can function like Gig Performer (If you’re not familiar with it check it out)
We are working on a series of videos to get Reaper to function like Gig Performer. If you’re subscribed you’ll get the notification when we finish and upload it.
Also, what other Daws, Amp Sims and plugin effects do you use?
