per the json file, it's not durability based, but chanced base. Tier1 is about a 10% chance to become damaged, Tier2 is 5% and Tier3 is < 1%. The block state is either going to be good or damaged, no in-between.
Stainless steel you say, I haven't noticed that in the vanilla game handbook but I'll keep an eye out. I remember a mod a while back that used chromium for making a stainless steel this was a few years ago.
I wish Vintage Story can be played on Mobile. I'm a Minecraft Veteran and an expert on Add-on creation. But on time to time I need to play some old survival game while I make my add-ons.
There are some who play on a Steam Deck, if you have the resources that could be an option. Feel free to put your skills to work within our growing community in the mean time!
Спосибо а то у меня вроде по игровому было 7 декабря или 9 и уже 2 января. Просто я думал почему и я так ломал и так и туда и сюда делал. А ты подсказал как сделать что бы горела.
Almost sounds like the coffin wasn't filled completely. The fire below will still tick the structure blocks over time. Look at the coffin in the cementation furnace and make sure the tool tip shows the carbonization process is working.
Coke is easy to make but really only need it for making cupronickel as it is the only fuel source that can exceed 1300 C. Stick with the basics and use the fuel source that makes the most sense for what you are making.
Something else to think about, when fueling the furnace for steel, you only need charcoal in the coffin layers with your iron, you can use brown coal to heat the furnace.
Wow I was heating my furnace for almost 2 months straight feeding it enormous amounts of charcoal, not knowing that I didn't put a top layer of charcoal in the coffin... *facepalm*
IMPORTANT: Coffin lids require Borax to make, make sure you have found some supply of it in order to start your steel adventure!
Geesh thats a crazy process! The realism is truly educational for real life!
No kidding, the realistic processes of the game are no joke.
Shino, you have to be one of the greatest Vintage Story youtubers ever, thank you so much for these videos
Wow!! Thank you!!
I've never gotten to the steel making phase, but I know where to go when I need to know how!! 😀
I'm at your disposal if you need assistance.
One thing I think should be mentioned is that putting a coke oven door on the fuel chamber prevents the coal from spilling out onto you.
Yes it does and it is aesthetically pleasing.
Best tutorial yet for steel! Sub and gonna watch more of your videos. Thanks!
Appreciate your words, your sub and your support. Here to help so feel free to ask.
Super chill, super informative!
Thanks!
Does anyone know the durability rates on each of the 3 types of refactry bricks? Like how long do they last before needing to replace them?

@@Shino_Gaming Thank you!
Why did he take damage when placing the coal underneath?
Good question. Demonstrating the sideways stability mechanic of the game. One of the layers of charcoal slid off and onto my feet causing damage.
when i was in creative i saw stainless steel. is that something that can only be spawned in? haven't found anything about it.

Is the process of making coke "worth it"? Or is charcoal the faster and better option?

@@Shino_Gaming very helpful tip! Brown coal is easy to aquire compared to the time sinnk of getting charcoal. Thank you!
