I've used this before accidentally locked my keys in the truck, (rookie move) so it was running for about 45 minutes while a friend took me to get my spare keys. Afterwards I could still smell it around the three month mark. great product super easy to use.

place an open cup of vinegar in cup holder, roll up all windows allowing car to heat up. this will cause the vinegar to evaporate and settle into the fabric. it should eliminate the smells permanently. the vinegar smell will dissipate as well.
Get a good spray bottle and a mixture of odoban I prefer the citrus one. Spray it in the car, trunk and Ac vent to deodorize and disinfect. 9.99 for a gallon @ home depot and get the 2 pack of odoban real citrus air freshener. This is the killer combo and you can use it in the house also. I promise you will not be disappointed!
Smells good (to me, some people, including my GF hate it) but most importantly, it did nothing for the stink in my AC vents on recirculate. In fact, the only thing that did work, was a chlorine dioxide bomb (expensive to do every few months) and now, an ozone generator. Cheap, easy, and 100% effective. After this, you can use any sort of scents you want to. I use all natural lemon grass oil.
Is it the ozone generator you mean is cheap, easy and effective? I have tried a swedish brand of ac-cleaner but don't think it dit much. I just had cleaned the inside of the windows when I found the ac-cleaner and after I had used it I had to clean all windows again :( maybe I should look up chlorine bomb and maybe invest in a ozon machine.

Works great… However, after a couple years, my AC vents we’re getting so bad, that the ozone generator would only clear it for a couple days. I had my mechanic run that foam disinfectant through my AC condensation drain tube. That was a soIid fix, but I expect to have to do that once every 6-12 months. My mechanic says he sees this more often in hybrids, maybe because folks leave the AC on a lot, even when the car is not being driven. I know I do. Heck, I sleep in the car about twice a month on road trips, and the AC goes for 8 hrs straight. (fantastic to be able to do that btw) but it sure makes the AC system start stinking worse / quicker ☹️

Get yourself an empty spray bottle fill with vinegar spray into air condition ducts ,lift hood an spray into duct, its usually located on the passenger side of the car, now turn on car and air conditioner leave running for 10 minutes. car is going to have the vinegar smell until it dries out. you can put your fresh air products in. the car will soon smell nice..
Thinking the front vents as well as the floor vents should both be open and not just the front vent only. This might be one of reasons why some people still experience an odor afterwards.
If you’re actually trying to permanently remove odors from you’re car, the ozone generator is the way to go. It takes 30 minutes to a couple hours, requires setup, and it also takes a few days of driving with the windows cracked, but the results are almost always a car that does not have odors.
You can do the same thing with a can of Lysol Disinfectant spray. Just leave the A/C on in recirculation mode and spray as much as you can into the car before shutting the door. Leave car running for 10 mins. And you are done.

I bought a used Lexus GS350 that came off lease and the car reeked of smoke. A combination of washing the carpets/mats, blasting the car with ozium, and steam cleaning the headliner significantly reduced the odor, but there is still a hint of cigarette smoke. Seeing this stuff on the shelf at the local Vatozone I decided to give it a shot. Followed the instructions. The stuff smells very similar to ozium which is good. The fogger idea makes sense because its meant to get the product everywhere just like cigarette smoke manages to get everywhere. Will this eliminate the smell entirely? IDK ill have to wait a few days to see. So far the smell is good especially when the AC is on.

I paided 120 dollars to have my nissian rogue full clean carpet .ect and ozone shock treatment. Then I used this product just incase and not had the smell and its been over 2 months since I did that.

I bought one of those maguires spray bombs and tried it in another vehicle that is old to see how it smelled and it was extremely strong like mens cologne. I think I will skip putting in the car we just cleaned as my goal was to remove odors and it doesn’t need it! Been three days now and the smell is bearable in my truck after I bombed it lol!
Just got back my 2005 Tacoma from Frame recall. it sat at dealer for almost 5 months. it smelled Funky after sitting for so long. thats from mold growing on inside, get a can of lysol, there are a bunch of youtube vids on it, i just tried, sprayed it into my intake vent, worked really well, i didnt spray into every vent as i didnt have the straw for the spray can, but as soon as i remember to get one of those, going to spray into every ac hole with car off then blast it all out while spraying the intake again, should wipe out any mold growth on inside.

hmmm I never had any such issues. Have you tried any other products that get rid of the odor? Try some products that you put on the carpets and vacuum up.
Spray lysol in the vents on the outside of your car windsheild by the hood while the ac is running. This smell is probably coming from inside your vents also change the cabin filter if your car has one

I use Maguire products but this is a NO for me. I use Fabreeze and I clip them on my air vents in the backseat. Don't like it in the front(looks ghetto) and the whole car smells good.
I just got a contract to detail and deodorize 370 semi trucks as a company cycles them through the end of they're lease's. Do you think one would be sufficient for a semi tractor with a sleeper area? Or maybe 2 per truck?
step one, check your a/c filter, youtube your car model and changing ac filter, if the smell is still there when you turn on car, step two look up using lysol for moldy car ac, works like a charm
I had no residue at all in the car after using this, yes running the AC will make it run better and recycle so it keeps running through your AC system and gets any stinky smells out of it!

is there any way you could run a test on Biocide auto shocker I believe it's around 25 dollars but that stuff has Carbon Technology and it's supposed to supposidly eliminate odors forever there is alot of science behind it and there youtube commercial says 100 percent money back guarantee.
is this can releasing Ozone? They have machines that can pump ozone into your car. Ozone can make nasty smelling things dissipate. So it will get rid of the bad smelling molecules, not just mask them.

I also tried that product., leaves the car smelling good for about 1week then you can't even smell it longer than that unless you have a good nose.

I've tried this Meguiar Air Freshner before but not a fan of its scent esp the Sweet Summer Breeze but it did work temporarily

1995dresser yup, it works great! I have used the Eagle One version as well and it does a good job as well.

People leave the Meguiar's Air Re-Fresher on the back seat , some car the front too low can damage the ceiling of your car .
I had no issues at all with my placement.

Honestly one of the worst smelling products imho. If you want a clean smell...clean out the mold in the actual vents, etc

I used this product and followed the instructions. Now the have a stronger odor coming from the a/c that wasn't there before. Any ideas?
it may from ur Car ac filter,because mine also like that
step one, check your a/c filter, youtube your car model and changing ac filter, if the smell is still there when you turn on car, step two look up using lysol for moldy car ac, works like a charm
after trying different air refresher, which one is your favorite? Meguires air refresher bomb?
they are all very close. Personally I would say whatever smell works best for you go with that.

I had no residue at all in the car after using this, yes running the AC will make it run better and recycle so it keeps running through your AC system and gets any stinky smells out of it!
Does this one stick to your clothes? I want to try to get rid of an old air freshener smell in my car. I had the thing in there for 2 weeks at the most, and over a year later, I'm still smelling it, and it sticks to my clothes.

I honestly say it lasted around 2 months for the car bomb here.
I had a mechanic do this trick for me which I thought I should share, this dealers wont share with us so that they can charge for cleaning the inside of car....
cleaning and scent are totally different. this won't fix your dirty car.

how long was this air frenshener last? Personally, I hate smoker. They not only harm themselves but also harm their family n friends around them from 2nd n 3rd hand smoke.
I'll say about a month before it's almost all out of the car smell wise. I mean if you leave the windows open when you drive maybe sooner.

is there any way you could run a test on Biocide auto shocker I believe it's around 25 dollars but that stuff has Carbon Technology and it's supposed to supposidly eliminate odors forever there is alot of science behind it and there youtube commercial says 100 percent money back guarantee.

is this can releasing Ozone? They have machines that can pump ozone into your car. Ozone can make nasty smelling things dissipate. So it will get rid of the bad smelling molecules, not just mask them.
