Someone obviously prayed for an injury, in Fed's team, most likely his wife, and she got her wish, Fed was pissing his pants, and was hoping for a jinx, that could get him through the finishing line, and it happened! Karma though, in 2016- when the exact same thing, happened, and stopped him, against Roanic, in the semi finals.

    Under zero pressure, Benneteau often played Roger tough. The Frenchman of this era always played tough with no pressure. None of them won a Slam or even a Masters 1000 except Tsonga once. What makes a player great is not how he wins as an underdog but how he wins as the favorite.

      @Vince Mcmahon 2019 Novak would in all likelihood beat 2017 Fed similar to how it went down here. Fewer errors, solid, impenetrable baseline play, and play the big points better. Another tight 5 set victory for Nole imo

    • @farid1406
      @farid1406 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Vince Mcmahon 2019 Nole's game may be inferior from a pure level standpoint, but its close enough to make 2017 Fed have to execute extremely well in order to win. And Fed is not good when he's under pressure against Nole. Also, best of 5 is very, very different from best of 3 my friend.

    Too bad Julien Benneteau didn't get a Happy Ending even after that massage in the 5th set.

    dangerous strategy, the way Benneteau tanked the 3rd set.....and it failed.

    it's always interesting to watch Federer coldly slice and dice an opponent, like a physician operating on a patient. But he lacks the crazed intensity of a Nadal or Djokovich. If he had that he would have won another 5 or 6 GS. As is, with a mere 20, he has failed to fulfill his early promise.

    Federer going for a toilet break. After losing 2nd set. Talk about trying to break momentum. Rhythm. Shouldn't be allowed.
