This era was Nadal´s peak in the game, from 2008-2010. His level was amazing, after these years it has been decresing a little bit every year. But he is so good that even this way, he has been winning tournaments but specially whe Djokovic or Federer failed. When Nadal was at this level (2008-2010) he was invincible.

For those who criticize Novak and say he is proud they should watch this match again. It’s important to see his attitude after losing such a tough match. Both players were seeking their first US open title. So it was precious. But see how Novak remained very cheerful in defeat, and gave Rafa all due respects. Notice how he took the cheque off Rafa to allow him free his hands to carry the trophy. So impressive. Not only is Novak arguably the GOAT. Notice Nadal postioned himself closer to the baseline, compared to how far back he stands nowadays. Are you listening to yourself? Nadal is playing non other than Djokovic here (who could not force him further back). And I'm saying that during such time, Nadal positioned himself closer towards the baseline than he does today. And I've also noticed the same with Djokovic... although he still stands closer to the baseline on the returns than Nadal does. But amongst the big 3, Federer is the only one who seem to maintain his positioning behind the baseline. And that's probably because it comes more natural for him.
