I'm 69 and still working part time in the UK. I am a widower. I haven't had a holiday for 5 years. I live in a house , on my own , that is way too big for me. The Labour government are screwing us pensioners ! WHAT THE HELL AM I STILL DOING LIVING IN THE UK !!?? I need to sell up and join you guys in Spain.
Back in thr 1980 s I was living there lovely time not saturated with tourists no queues to dine out , my view is you have to be prepared to adapt its slower to get anything done also it can be isolating if a spouse dies the one left behind wants to go back to be near family members , rent first for a while to see how the area is populated in summer and don't buy up a mountain as one day you might need a emergency service lol X
Love the comment about the EU flags, I was devastated when the UK ( Sorry I mean England) voted to leave the EU. I’m still hoping that when Scotland leave the UK that they join the EU immediately.
You can't just move to spain when you retire you need to prove you can support yourself financially ,If you're a non-EU/EEA citizen who wishes to retire in Spain, you'll need to prove you have enough income to support yourself without income from employment. As of 2021, the minimum figure for this is set at: €2,259 per month or just over €27,000 per calendar year. An additional €6,778 for each additional family member.
I live in a small village in the mountains in Spain. I have fiber optic 1 GBit internet. Most cities around the world I am not even close to that speed.
I love my overpriced terrace, sky-high taxes, unreliable internet, overpriced everything, gloomy weather, and grumpy neighbours. You can keep your sunny Spain! 😆🤔🤔
@@vic6820really? I don’t think so, and the small dams (mostly weirs), none of which were built for flood prevention, that had been demolished, not one was identified as causing or aiding the flooding. If as you say the dams were full to the brim and your house and village was about to flood as a result, wouldn’t you want to open the dams?
i use Telfy and it works superb with high speeds in our house in Benijofar. I have a software companny in the Netherlands. I will move to Spain permanently next year with my wife.

Yes Brexit raises it's ugly head again.😡
Any SENSIBLE country should make sure someone can pay their own way!! Take note UK
We will be living with the brexit lies, here, for the rest of our lives SPAIN for me any day of the week👍🇪🇸🇪🇸🤗❣❣
Already planning a phased retirement there… life is too short, especially with the West coast Scottish male genes in me…
In Israel we pay 26 Pounds for these speeds.
6 years retired in Murcia region never going back to hustle and bustle of gloomy England , just the thought makes me shiver lol 😎
Hahah love it barry lad 👍
“Oh” the hardship, the pressured lifestyle. Looks like it's Greece for me then in retirement… Only joking
Just fyi the internet is not super duper everywhere. More remote the region more iffy the wifi.
Yet we stay on the campo and that’s the speed we get! 😂
