It's the same all down the coast from Barcelona right around to Cadiz. It's the same near me in Saltaire, Howarth & Skipton and probably everywhere "nice". The local authorities have got to somehow stop short term lets, l believe in the free market normally but Airbnb is proving negative for society.

I totally understand my daughter lives in Cornwall- and the amount of people that are from around there! But cannot afford to buy is crazy. 😮
I think I would pay more for drinks, as it’s cheap over there compared to the Uk.. have a great day 😊

The prices in costa blanca have gone crazy in last couple years I feel bad for the young Spanish people who don’t own property

I think when there are rentals at those prices it can work out cheaper with multiple occupants family or friend groups share the coast all you need I one place, devide the cost between them no argument over a place by the pool, sunbeds etc. It's become easier to share .

The majority of properties that are for either holiday rentals, and long-term are owned by Spanish people, yet they are blaming foreign owners. This all comes down to corrupt officials working in the government and Town Halls in Spain. They need to stop holiday rentals, and it would have an immediate impact on property rental prices. Unless the apartments are on a holiday complex, no rentals should be allowed. People who own properties and do not live at that property should not be allowed to rent out to tourists. Only long term rentals should be allowed. This will stop the greed of these property owners, but as I have said, there is too much corruption in Spain for this to stop.

We live in Newquay Cornwall and locals berate holiday makers and constantly complain about the same problems as those in this vlog.
Tourists get the blame but it's the fault of government. Capitalist, right wing governments voted in by the very people that are complaining.

Like Airbnb is the Tories fault. As funny as thinking Labour has any policy to combat the problem. 😁

You are very lucky . I know several Scandinavian people here Torrevieja needing a full term rental because owners are selling up to Air B&B rental investors and Ukrainian & Poles are snapping up real estate & long term rentals went from €450; to €600 and €800 a month this year and that's for a one bed .
