That is crazy expensive. I watched your videos for money saving tips on meat, not for commercials for overpriced seafood.
You all need to understand he got sent this box for FREE. He provided recipes for if you choose to get the box yourself. This wasn’t a “buy it” this was a “if you buy it, here’s some recipes.” How could you possibly hate for him cooking his free food?

Every time I watch a video,or even a documentary on TV back in the day, of a grizzly munching on salmon I basically have it as my next meal.

is it cheaper there since it's fished locally or for some reason is it expensive like everything else in alaska?
@@slimydick23 The cost is mostly your time, a fishing license & equipment, and the cost of a fishing charter to go for the bigger fish, and you just get the fish yourself. But yeah, if you buy it in any of the stores, still ridiculously expensive!

Do they tell you in advance what your getting. Can, I reject a box. I saw Coho salmon on the website. I only eat Sockeye salmon, can I substitute fish. I worked two years in the Salmon Industry in Alaska. Thank you…..
Yes, you can see a projected harvest and can skip a month. They also offer "one-time" boxes of specific fish harvests.
The quality of the fish is outstanding, and we have really liked the salmon, lingcod, and sablefish. We compare the cost to Whole Foods or a fresh fish market, and we also consider a portion of the cost out of our dining out budget instead of grocery.

Thankfully I live by the coast in Florida where we get tons of fresh seafood brought in daily. I would *NEVER* in my life pay these kind of prices. It's not even fresh. But I guess for those that have a disposable income......
