I had a girl 4 and a baby boy , so for their room my mother made Raggedy Ann and Andy curtains and quilt and their father was an artist so he painted them on the baby bed , of course we had the dolls of both . Beautiful memories 1974 ❤

We were at the grocery store and he wanted to buy me something as we don't have many stores left. It was fun seeing all that's in a cracker barrel. One mothers day our church had a mothers day dinner and they asked us to bring our raggedy ann dolls they decorated with them all over it was adorable...😊 blessings love your skillet...l
How I miss Cracker Barrel. Haven't been to one since we moved back from North Carolina to California. We don't have any of those. Oh my gosh. That all looks so yummy. I was going to say that I was surprised that Marie walked right by the toy section and did not get something for Addison. Whoops!! I take that back. Marie bought something. Loved your bloopers. I kept thinking Saturday was Friday and my son said no Mom it's Saturday 😂 Seeing the Raggedy Ann brings memories for me. My sister made me one and one for my daughter too but they got ruined in storage so I lost them. I was so heartbroken since my oldest sister passed in 88 from breast cancer. My parents always made corn bread in their cast iron.
As a Canadian, I can't get over how you don't have any snow for Christmas. Today, December 3, 2024, where I live in southern Ontario, we currently have 30 cm (1 foot) of snow on the ground and temperatures are around -10 C (15 F). Merry Christmas!!! Remember that Jesus is the reason for the season.

I love these videos of y'all going places! Thank you so much for making them! Marie, it made me happy to see you buy the Raggedy Ann doll. I love dolls and collect them. Calvin- if you have never tried a cornbread cast iron skillet you need to. It has sections shaped like pie slices and makes crust all the way around each slice of cornbread. Since I got one, I don't ever use my regular skillets for cornbread anymore. Happy New Year!!!

Hi Calvin and Marie. It's fun to go along with you. We don't have a cracker barrel here where we live. It all looks wonderful. My husband andvi have been married for 51 years. I only own and do all my cooking on cast iron. I have never own any other type of pans. I inherited my mother's when she pasted away plus what I owned. It takes practice to learn own to cook on them and season them, but once you get it mastered, it's the best way. Enjoy it. Don't be scared to ask me if you have questions on using it.

There is nothing like a cast iron skillet. I have my mother's and would not take anything for it. Cornbread is delicious made in it. I am glad yall got what you wanted in Cracker Barrell. I love eating there and the store. I could really get in trouble in there. I am glad yall are feeling better. Yall take care. I am so glad it is raining today, we need the rain so bad. I am so thankful that it did not rain yesterday on Christmas day, it would of been so hard on people traveling on a rainy day. LOL, it is good it is not snowing, we would never get out. LOL We need just a little snow. I always heard the snow and cold weather got rid of these cold and flu germs, probably just hear say. The toy you picked up with the black stuff in it with the little tool in it and you move the stuff, I used to love those kind of toys when I was a kid, did not know they still made it. I loved the doll you got Marie, I never had one as a kid, never too late to buy one.

Hi my friends, Please keep my husband in your thoughts and prayers. We were cooking Christmas dinner and I was walking to the kitchen and Rick was behind me and because of the Widowmaker I fainted. No warning tmber fall to the floor. He tried to catch me but I'm a big girl at 175 and we both fell on the floor. I made him go to the hospital and it's been 5 hours and I'm terribly worried. I'm bruised up and I can walk but my love is in the hospital because he tried to catch my fall. I'm in need of prayer please pray for him. Much love, Rennie
@@SouthernCountryLiving My love is home. Everything is fine he's just bruised up like I am. Elderly people take a long time to heal so the doctor said that it'll take about a few weeks to recover. I feel so guilty I told him don't ever catch my fall again. Of course he's not going to comply with that. There is nothing like a cast iron skillet. I have my mother's and would not take anything for it. Cornbread is delicious made in it. I am glad yall got what you wanted in Cracker Barrell. I love eating there and the store. I could really get in trouble in there. I am glad yall are feeling better. Yall take care. I am so glad it is raining today, we need the rain so bad. I am so thankful that it did not rain yesterday on Christmas day, it would of been so hard on people traveling on a rainy day. LOL, it is good it is not snowing, we would never get out. LOL We need just a little snow. I always heard the snow and cold weather got rid of these cold and flu germs, probably just hear say. The toy you picked up with the black stuff in it with the little tool in it and you move the stuff, I used to love those kind of toys when I was a kid, did not know they still made it. I loved the doll you got Marie, I never had one as a kid, never too late to buy one.

Please keep my husband in your thoughts and prayers. We were cooking Christmas dinner and I was walking to the kitchen and Rick was behind me and because of the Widowmaker I fainted. No warning tmber fall to the floor.
He tried to catch me but I'm a big girl at 175 and we both fell on the floor. I made him go to the hospital and it's been 5 hours and I'm terribly worried.
I'm bruised up and I can walk but my love is in the hospital because he tried to catch my fall.
I'm in need of prayer please pray for him.

My love is home. Everything is fine he's just bruised up like I am. Elderly people take a long time to heal so the doctor said that it'll take about a few weeks to recover.
I feel so guilty I told him don't ever catch my fall again. Of course he's not going to comply with that.
He said if I fall and he's behind me, he will catch me every time but I don't want him to get hurt because of me.
