I thought this show was gonna be mediocre at best, but the first 2 episodes managed to peak my intrests
Like the first half of the show, I thought it was really fun and entertaining, but nothing more than that. But the second half surprised me. Such a well thought out show with some clever twists. Like for example, adding death to this would seem kind of odd, but it works REALLY well. And dont get me started on episode 7. Absolutely brilliant

Definitely the best one so far. The direction and writing and non-linear narrative were just INCREDIBLY well executed. And that ending was heartbreaking.
they planted all those Chekhov's guns episode by episode and then got the rewarding payoff that tied everything up by episodes 6 and 7 which makes you think they wrote the whole thing down to perfection.

I like that they’re keeping her as a villain. Agatha doesn’t strike me as a ‘take pity on me I’ve changed’ type character, but more of a ‘muahahaha I’m gonna stay evil but I’ll make it fun’ type character

Just finished this and im obsessed ❤ This and WandaVision are my favs
It’s pretty interesting how as of now Wanda turned into a main villain, and this seems like agatha is going from main villain to a hero or atleast anti hero. It’s funny bc agatha hasn’t done 1/10th of what Wanda has done wrong despite being the main villain in wandavision lol, yet majority of us still like Wanda and some like me think she can redeem herself and disassociate herself from the scarlet witch. But yeah, I’m interested to see a different perspective on Agatha.
I think Agatha was also heroic-adjacent in the comics, or at the very least she was a good guy / mentor for most of her iterations, like up until very recently. So I'm hoping this is more of a change of course for the character, rather than all of the witches being portrayed as evil or dying by the end of the show.
To be fair, she didn't do much during the TV show. It was after that... then she went full on evil.
Agatha is not even much of a main villain back in WandaVision either imo, she is basically acted like both mentor and therapist to Wanda in EP.8. (A lot of people including me do in fact consider her to be more of a anti-hero since beginning)
Wanda had been a hero longer than she was a villain, and while a little over exaggerated, her villain turn was understandable. Agatha hasn't had that yet.

Kathryn Hahn has been a gem ever since I've seen her in Parks and Recreation as Jen Barkley! She nailed that role. Hopefully this will be good.

1:30 those are the symbols of Hecate, The Goddess of Witches and Witchcraft. Plus the song "Maiden, Mother, Crone" is about Hecate.
Those are just moon phases, they're not necessarily tied to Hecate. The song is also clearly written for the show as it references the Witch's Road multiple times, and that's a main plot point as seen in the trailer. I am a devotee/follower of Hecate myself and as cool as it would be to have her play a part in this, you're Really reaching here.

I hope they mention the Elder Gods in the show. Aubrey rising from the earth and breaking the fourth wall feels like she’s playing Gaea.
She's gotta be playing Mephisto. Seems an ally but is playing Agatha to get Wanda's chaos magic. At the end of the Witch's Road, they're most def reviving Wanda so Agatha can retrieve her stolen power. Wanda attacks Agatha but is swayed by presence of Wiccan. Then Aubrey reveals she's Mephisto, and all three team up against a common enemy.
Isn’t Mephisto coming out in Ironheart played by Sacha Baron Cohen?
So nice to see the "Heartstopper" gang moving forward into higher profile projects, leading to broader exposure, which will hopefully manifest into more people discovering (and becoming fans of) that beautiful little series.

Agatha yelling she wants her prize means that she betrays Billy again but probably cheated or something as she didn’t receive her powers (her prize). My speculations is that Agatha gets to the end with Billy , betrays him (probably steals his powers or something), but as seen in Episode 5, Billy has runes on his sweater so maybe he steals Agatha’s prize? (Just my theory), however, at the end it seems like his jacket was taken off and his sweater has holes so maybe not? All ik is Jen somehow escapes, Lilia dies and Agatha probably cheated or smth bc she doesn’t receive her powers back at the end (after betraying Billy).

I love Aubrey Plaza. She's so much more versatile than people give her credit for. The first time I realized that was when I saw her in the TV show Legion. She absolutely nailed that show so I know she will be good in this.
