This is the most bone-chilling Max and Ruby 0004 remake I've ever seen, and this is also the best. First of all, I loved that you put a normal episode before the bootleg part, it turns a terrible cliche into something more realistic. Next is the infamous part where they stand with black eyes. The part where Max sees his father hanging and doesn't know what to do with it, so he puts his hands on his knees, oh my god. That was dark, and more realistic, since, like I said, Max doesn't know what's going on. The part where Max gets punched in the nose was insane, it really shows how much of a bitch Ruby is to Max. Ok, here's the famous part. Max killing himself. I love how you didn't make him hang because, you know, that would not be creative, and instead made him kill himself VibingLeaf's Pingu's Punishment style by banging his head on the bed frame until his skull is cracked. Seeing Max's lifeless eyes, arms wide open, one down his bed, and his mouth open was disturbing as fuck because of how, here comes the creepypasta cliche word, REALISTIC it is. The part where Ruby opened the door and screamed was the part where I gasped. Hearing Ruby scream and cry with distortion while terrifying music plays, ALSO with distortion is the most terrifying part. If we link back to the punch part, you get to see why Max kills himself, because he doesn't feel safe around Ruby. This is where the "HORRIBLESISTER" upside down comes in place. She really is a horrible sister. She punched Max and tried chasing after him, and Max thought she would do more terrible stuff to him, so he ended his life so it wouldn't happen. When I realized this, my horrifying emotion only got worse. That is the climax of the remake. Anyway, Ruby builds Max's tombstone, with smooth animation, the "HORRIBLESISTER" part that I already talked about. Then, the last part. Ruby reaches for Max's hand, but Max goes away and turns around, and Ruby feels sad. I know Leah technically already did this, but you just made it better. Because there's actual animation, and it makes you feel a bit sorry for Ruby. Do you know why? Because she was already stressed out before Max punched him. Who knows what Max said. He probably said something mean. That's when her stress gets out of control, and she says sorry for her actions too. I didn't know what Ruby was saying out of Max's door, but it sounded like she was really sorry for her actions, this WAS the part where Max killed himself, so I don't know. Anyway, this completely dethroned Leah from their crown of Max and Ruby 0004, because you made it 3x better than it already was. And I mean this in the best way possible because it looked like nothing could be better than Leah's, and you crushed it. I mean this when I say this is probably the best videopasta I've seen after Christian's Rap Rat take. This is perfect. No one can beat this (yet). This deserves at least more views than Leah's did. Let's hope it does, because this premiered 11 hours ago (when I posted this comment), and videos never leave. (unless, you know, the creators of the show delete it or you delete your channel or you delete the video, please don't delete the video)

i'd LOVE me some 0004 retakes ANYDAY ... this one's very unique, some could say that this surpasses the already high standards some other retakes have set for this creepypasta. the fanmade assets here (such as the 0004 entities, the tombstones, and the ending title card) are some of the most amazing and accurate assets in a 0004 retake i think i've ever seen. i DIG that you also went your own way with the storyline from 4:46 to 8:36, and that the whole cursed episode appears AFTER a regular episode. overall, FANTASTIC job on this. can't wait to see more!
Wow. The Internet has been blessed with these very well-made retakes lately. I remember being absolutely terrified by the original creepypasta/images 10 years ago. People’s creativity and skill with this kind of stuff has really come a long way in such a short amount of time. :)
This is by far the best adaptation of this story i've ever seen! At first, I thought this was just some low-quality video about a fake DVD, but you completely subverted my expectations. The voice acting was great, It had actual dialogue, and the amazing animation really blew me away. The animation was so good, I thought it was ripped straight from the show! You have a lot of potential my friend, and I’m excited to see what you come up with in the future!

Ok, at this point, there are three retakes of Max and Ruby 0004 that could easily take the crown as “the best one” This one sandwiches quite nicely between Leah’s retake and mikalovescreepypasta’s retake. Now this is the second retake Joblessmonday did of Max and Ruby 0004. The first one was an 8.5/10 because of the length of the ears and the fact that is basically ripped off Ruby screaming from EPISODE_0004. This, is already a 10/10 just off visuals and story alone. In other words, it’s a phenomenal retake. The length of the ears is more realistic of that to an actual bunny. Right off the bat at the beginning, it has footage of the person showing us the bootleg DVD, something no other retake of Max and Ruby 0004 has done before. Then the menu, looks realistic to an actual Bootleg DVD. Then a cliche is dodged. Instead of the intro of 0004 playing immediately after it’s episode is chosen, the intro is put after a normal episode, which is more realistic. Although it didn’t get the static part to the intro right, it didn’t have to, cause the intro is amazing. The black eyes are much more drippy than just black circles, meaning the eyes are possibly gouged. “It’s such a shame” is in this retake, and it’s done similar to FinderLurker’s 2018 retake of 0004. The first gravestone scene is well done, and for once, the gravestones are original! The bunny ears on the gravestones make logicial sense to the Max and Ruby universe since everyone is a bunny. I love how there’s a pause of audio during the static before the black eyes part rather than just static for the whole duration. 4:30 has eyes that literally look like they’re from the drawing that VibingLeaf made of Max and Ruby 0004 a couple months back. The jumpscare afterwards is well done too. I love the reference of the father taking the knife out of his face at 4:50. It’s from FinderLurker’s original video from 2014. Not many other retakes add this part in so it’s more original to the original 0004 video. Also rather than Max hanging himself, the father hangs himself, which makes more sense since he wanted to end it all after he killed his wife. Like Leah’s retake, it goes on it’s own storyline after the scene where Max and Ruby are in Ruby’s room. The scene where Max just touches the leg of his dead father is both depressing and realistic, since Max doesn’t understand death yet. Now what this retake does next is something I love, it basically takes the quote Ruby said from Leah’s retake “I’m sorry for hurting you over you telling me to burn in hell earlier” and put’s it into action. Not only does Max say “Burn in hell” to Ruby, but Ruby actually hurts Max by punching him in the nose to make Max have a nosebleed, even though said nosebleed is only visible for a few frames. (Past here I wrote at night cause I’m not done with the review lol) Then Ruby says that the punch to the nose was “just a reaction” when it was clearly not. Max breaks a vase to protect himself then shuts the door on Ruby, which is another really good scene. Then we get to the climax, Max ending it all. Instead of Max hanging himself, he kills himself by slamming his head on the wooden part of the bed, which is exactly what Pingu did in the creepypasta Pingu’s Punishment. This not only makes Max’s death more realistic, but the way of ending himself is more realistic as well, since it is heavily unlikely Max would actually tie a noose and hang themselves in their room. 6:37 is the part that was disturbing. Ruby’s scream that was enough to saturate the entire bedroom as well as shake the room and cause 15 seconds of just insanity and then silence… which references EPISODE_0004. 7:21 is the Metal Pipe Sound Effect 2.0. In all seriousness, the second graveyard scene was just as well executed as the first one, and it’s also a reference to Leah’s retake. Right before the last scene we get another original scene of Ruby looking distraught and unsure of what to do next, with the text “HORRIBLESISTER” written upside down. This makes sense because Ruby treated Max horribly like 3-4 scenes ago and therefore is a horrible sister. This is further proven in the last scene where Ruby tries to hold out her hand to forgive Max then Max rejects the offer Ruby made, which is again is realistic and original rather than just a repeat of the done to death quote “Death is our only release” Then we go back to the menu and the video ends. Woohoo that was quite the retrospective! Anyways, onto the aspects. The animation is perfection, it looks like it’s from the actual show. The voice acting is incredible. Aicha comes back again as the voice of Ruby and is the third time she’s done the role of Ruby in a 0004 retake. The voice actor of Max did a good job too, even though he only said four words. Lafawnda voicing the father is just, impeccable. Every time Lafawnda is a voice actor in a retake you know it’s gonna be a really good retake. Sound effects are amazing too. This video, as a whole, feels like a mashup of a whole ton of 0004 remakes, and then that mashup is polished and refurnished to originality. Again, this retake is phenomenal. I love this Renaissance of creepy pasta from our collective childhood being remade. It’s been a while since I was spooked out by the originals, however the new talent breathing fresh life into them have made them as chilling to me as they were as a kid. And I love it!! ❤❤❤

Here are the things I love about this: Spacing out so I don’t spoil with the comment preview (I wish they could just have a feature to turn it off) 1: Max seeing his father’s body. The detail I love the most is how he doesn’t know he’s dead. 2: The fact we see an argument with Max and Ruby. It gives us context to why Max would end himself. 3: The way Max ends himself. I find it more believable for him to bang his head on the bed rather than him making one-thirds of a swing. How would he even get the rope? 4: The part showing Ruby sitting on a chair with the text of “Horrible Sister” written upside down. It’s just that alongside Ruby sitting and just wondering. It’s a true chef’s kiss. Overall, one of the best 0004 remakes. Coming into this, I wasn’t expecting much, since the last major remake was the Leah remake. This threw my expectations out the window and sat me down on this rollercoaster of a remake. tldr: I love it.

The idea of the life in a family becoming a living hell in 0004 is just unnerving, particularly in this one. This is because of Max being punched by Ruby, and Max seeing Dad hanging there not knowing that he off'd himself.
This is truly an amazing retake and possibly one of the best in my taste. I like the animation that was used and the fact that Max died from head trauma is a creative idea and i love that a lot. I also liked the HORRIBLESISTER text above ruby and the end has some sort of symbolism that max would never forgive ruby for what she did.
This is my favourite Max and Ruby 0004 retake because of many things like The Animation, giving Marx and Rhubarb vibes with the long ears, Max having a different demise, etc. My only little nitpick is the fact that the text for the buttons is not in Filipino, other than that this is a very good video. 10/10
So i have some ideas for a max and ruby retake (if anyone wants to used it) : -instead of black eyes in the funeral (or well when max and ruby are looking to their dead parents) they are using funerals clothes (max a suit and ruby a dress) -max doesnt kill himself , after an argument with ruby he escapes from a window (ruby notices by hearing a glass shatering) , max went missing -finally we see that after some weeks ruby receives the news that max was found dead (killed by the same killer who kill their parents)

Gosh, the 0004 vibe was so expected for me at the beginning. Actually it turned out pretty interesting, I just love how people can extend the plot of the episode to make more sense (like Ruby slapped Max in the face after he yelled "Burn in hell!", and etc.), just like the other bootleg dvd review I watched from someone.
the part where they are just standing there on the black background after the episode goes to black reminded me of something that happened many years ago where i was watching a DVD of Toopy and Binoo and after the episode went to black the logo was just there on a black background for a few seconds before going to the next episode. that made me pretty uncomfortable when i was younger and i think that adds onto the experience of the video for me

In other words, it’s a phenomenal retake. The length of the ears is more realistic of that to an actual bunny. Right off the bat at the beginning, it has footage of the person showing us the bootleg DVD, something no other retake of Max and Ruby 0004 has done before. Then the menu, looks realistic to an actual Bootleg DVD. Then a cliche is dodged. Instead of the intro of 0004 playing immediately after it’s episode is chosen, the intro is put after a normal episode, which is more realistic. Although it didn’t get the static part to the intro right, it didn’t have to, cause the intro is amazing. The black eyes are much more drippy than just black circles, meaning the eyes are possibly gouged. “It’s such a shame” is in this retake, and it’s done similar to FinderLurker’s 2018 retake of 0004. The first gravestone scene is well done, and for once, the gravestones are original! The bunny ears on the gravestones make logicial sense to the Max and Ruby universe since everyone is a bunny. I love how there’s a pause of audio during the static before the black eyes part rather than just static for the whole duration. 4:30 has eyes that literally look like they’re from the drawing that VibingLeaf made of Max and Ruby 0004 a couple months back. The jumpscare afterwards is well done too. I love the reference of the father taking the knife out of his face at 4:50. It’s from FinderLurker’s original video from 2014. Not many other retakes add this part in so it’s more original to the original 0004 video. Also rather than Max hanging himself, the father hangs himself, which makes more sense since he wanted to end it all after he killed his wife. Like Leah’s retake, it goes on it’s own storyline after the scene where Max and Ruby are in Ruby’s room. The scene where Max just touches the leg of his dead father is both depressing and realistic, since Max doesn’t understand death yet. Now what this retake does next is something I love, it basically takes the quote Ruby said from Leah’s retake “I’m sorry for hurting you over you telling me to burn in hell earlier” and put’s it into action. Not only does Max say “Burn in hell” to Ruby, but Ruby actually hurts Max by punching him in the nose to make Max have a nosebleed, even though said nosebleed is only visible for a few frames. (Past here I wrote at night cause I’m not done with the review lol) Then Ruby says that the punch to the nose was “just a reaction” when it was clearly not. Max breaks a vase to protect himself then shuts the door on Ruby, which is another really good scene. Then we get to the climax, Max ending it all. Instead of Max hanging himself, he kills himself by slamming his head on the wooden part of the bed, which is exactly what Pingu did in the creepypasta Pingu’s Punishment. This not only makes Max’s death more realistic, but the way of ending himself is more realistic as well, since it is heavily unlikely Max would actually tie a noose and hang themselves in their room. 6:37 is the part that was disturbing. Ruby’s scream that was enough to saturate the entire bedroom as well as shake the room and cause 15 seconds of just insanity and then silence… which references EPISODE_0004. 7:21 is the Metal Pipe Sound Effect 2.0. In all seriousness, the second graveyard scene was just as well executed as the first one, and it’s also a reference to Leah’s retake. Right before the last scene we get another original scene of Ruby looking distraught and unsure of what to do next, with the text “HORRIBLESISTER” written upside down. This makes sense because Ruby treated Max horribly like 3-4 scenes ago and therefore is a horrible sister. This is further proven in the last scene where Ruby tries to hold out her hand to forgive Max then Max rejects the offer Ruby made, which is again is realistic and original rather than just a repeat of the done to death quote “Death is our only release” Then we go back to the menu and the video ends. Woohoo that was quite the retrospective! Anyways, onto the aspects. The animation is perfection, it looks like it’s from the actual show. The voice acting is incredible. Aicha comes back again as the voice of Ruby and is the third time she’s done the role of Ruby in a 0004 retake. The voice actor of Max did a good job too, even though he only said four words. Lafawnda voicing the father is just, impeccable. Every time Lafawnda is a voice actor in a retake you know it’s gonna be a really good retake. Sound effects are amazing too. This video, as a whole, feels like a mashup of a whole ton of 0004 remakes, and then that mashup is polished and refurnished to originality. Again, this retake is phenomenal. Keep up the good work joblessmonday!

Here are the things I love about this:
Spacing out so I don’t spoil with the comment preview (I wish they could just have a feature to turn it off)
1: Max seeing his father’s body. The detail I love the most is how he doesn’t know he’s dead.
2: The fact we see an argument with Max and Ruby. It gives us context to why Max would end himself.
3: The way Max ends himself. I find it more believable for him to bang his head on the bed rather than him making one-thirds of a swing. How would he even get the rope?
4: The part showing Ruby sitting on a chair with the text of “Horrible Sister” written upside down. It’s just that alongside Ruby sitting and just wondering. It’s a true chef’s kiss.
Overall, one of the best 0004 remakes. Coming into this, I wasn’t expecting much, since the last major remake was the Leah remake. This threw my expectations out the window and sat me down on this rollercoaster of a remake.

This is truly an amazing retake and possibly one of the best in my taste. I like the animation that was used and the fact that Max died from head trauma is a creative idea and i love that a lot. I also liked the HORRIBLESISTER text above ruby and the end has some sort of symbolism that max would never forgive ruby for what she did.

So i have some ideas for a max and ruby retake (if anyone wants to used it) :
-instead of black eyes in the funeral (or well when max and ruby are looking to their dead parents) they are using funerals clothes (max a suit and ruby a dress)
-max doesnt kill himself , after an argument with ruby he escapes from a window (ruby notices by hearing a glass shatering) , max went missing
-finally we see that after some weeks ruby receives the news that max was found dead (killed by the same killer who kill their parents)
I will consider it. Besides, I have been thinking of doing my retake on this. Especially with some creative ideas.

Gosh, the 0004 vibe was so expected for me at the beginning. Actually it turned out pretty interesting, I just love how people can extend the plot of the episode to make more sense (like Ruby slapped Max in the face after he yelled "Burn in hell!", and etc.), just like the other bootleg dvd review I watched from someone.
the part where they are just standing there on the black background after the episode goes to black reminded me of something that happened many years ago where i was watching a DVD of Toopy and Binoo and after the episode went to black the logo was just there on a black background for a few seconds before going to the next episode. that made me pretty uncomfortable when i was younger and i think that adds onto the experience of the video for me
