Wow great to see this again. I was stood near the bank. Sound problems during megadeth then metallica came on and absolutely smashed it!! Fantastic day.
An awesome day was had. I was 17, pissed stoned n full of adrenaline. My main memory was when we all started shouting "You bald bastard" to Jason. 😂. Such a great gig n nothing but friendly passionate people living in the moment..I still miss Jason. He was the perfect fit for Metallica..

The drop in intensity from seeing them in 88 and 89 to this tour was notable to all of us. The $$$ was starting to turn Metallica into Metallicash. 😮💨
I was there with my friend. It was unforgetable. Around 60 tousand people and all like one. We were two jung women 19 years old and two long hair scottish men ,that we didn't know, were protecting us from the crowd❤️🔥. We never saw them again so i wan't to say:"thank you" greatest gentleman that i ever met ❤❤❤
Man what a blast! The first of my many Metallica experiences and still the best in my opinion. The atmosphere was electric, the heat was epic, the beer was heavy in quantity and my ears have never recovered!!! 😉🤟🤟

I found the radio broadcast versions on Enter Sandman and So What and put together a 2 CD full version of the concert! Finally I have the full concert!!
@@ginajames4564 I don't think they did on the BBC radio broadcast. I still have my tape cassette somewhere which the last 2 tracks are not on. I found the last 2 songs on a different radio broadcast. The audio for the last two songs needs to be changed to the broadcast versions and this would be the most complete audio version.
I remember seeing I think what was the BBC cut of this back in the day and they were specifically asked not to swear at the start as it was going out pre watershed and of course James obliges 😂
Any true Metallica fan would hear some unique toons during the performance of the unforgiven that I have never heard in any live performance, precisely from 46:09 up to 46:13.
Fuckin ace gig, i remember having to wait over nite for train to stafford n then had walk all the way to knutton, because i misd the coach after the gig, good times tho, 🤟🤟🤟🤟
Fantastic job with this job! I would dare to say the best one I've seen on YT. One question, during the original broadcast there was some jingle on the beginning of Battery. What did you do to clean it up? Did you used the SBD during that part and the rest of the song was radio broadcast? Thanks!!
Hi - you've done a great job here with the sound quality compared to the other versions BUT James's guitar is too loud in relation to Kirk's and drowns Kirk out. No problem with James being a bit louder - but it's too much and the harmony parts don't work if one guitar is too loud. Any chance you could balance that out a bit?
@@Nathwaan yes I remember listening to it before the watershed live on radio 1 lol. Very funny when he chanted fxxk you motherfxxkers! BBC box tickers but have had had an emergency meeting after this lol

Jason always thought he was lucky to have Metallica, but it was Matellica who was lucky to have Jason.
@Phixssius oh come on, he was good but they done alright without him
Mustaine getting interviewed during ecstasy of gold
Goes completely silent and totally shuts down! lol Brutal!
Dave Ellefson has to do the rest of the interview after that....mental damage!!!! hahahah!
Yes Dave struggled with that interview, then when Metallica hit the stage and the crowd went up you could see him crumble.
One of the best days ever. I can see myself down the front during The Unforgiven. I love this.
I saw you too!
See them in Hannover some weeks before!
30 years today..........still one of the greatest moments of my life
I was there. 5:6:1993
I was 13. It was incredible
The first all-day festival I went to and will never forget it. I believe Diamond Head opened, then The Almighty, Megadeth then Metallica 🤘🤘
What a day that was!! I was so lucky to see Metallica in their prime.

when Met still was a speed metal band
mtv asked them not to swear:)) james started with a swear, great middle finger to mtv
But now Metallica has become very cultured and polite. And James doesn't even drink. He must have realized something.

Sounds like it's coming from some external Walkman speakers purchased from an Asian Market.

was the camera man in love with the bass player? cause he shows him alot,..
Is their footage of Dave Mustaine crying backstage during their set?

Too bad you can't hear Kirk or Jason. Typical.
Jason Newsted was the only true metalhead in this band
We miss you , Jason
JN always wanted to take over as leader of Metallica. He failed and got fired instead. Best move Metallica could ever make
