When I was watching your videos from CES I notice the small, loud mic and wondered what it was. Now know. That's pretty awesome. Thanks for showing these.
As a sound engineer, I find the noise cancelling introduces a wishy-washy sound (that's a technical term us engineers deploy); I suppose it's useful in rushed situations, but I'd definitely recommend you use a plugin in your favourite editor instead. Sort of losing the S's..., you can't bring them back if your file has removed them, your computer can defo do it better.
It is a great deal with great capabilities in a small package. The range of these mics are also insane. I have the Hollyland Lark Max and this also sounds the same as its big brother. However, I had to have both for different situations. The whole package is a great bargain to say the least. Love the audio quality and the versatility. HollyLand scores big with these products. For me, it was a game changer for my work. The CES videos, confirm it use in a worse case electromagnetic environment. It Rocks!!
Its a nice product. I've been using it too. What I would recommend though is not to use their noise cancellation. It's pretty bad. Use something like Acon Digital's extract dialogue, or Izotope RX to do the noise cancellation in post.
in the review you say you can switch between stereo and mono mode (at about 7 minutes), but according to the manual you can only do that when connected to a camera, not when connected through the mobile receiver- (the latter is always mono, sadly)
It got better after a little bit, I kept having it too close to me and yelling a lot because of how dang loud it was there. Vadim speaks quieter in general so once I heard that I tried my best not to scream lol.
I am considering the purchase of a Hollyland Lark M2 Wireless Lavalier Microphone for iPhone/Android/Camera/PC/Laptop with Lightning/USB-C/Plug. My question is this: would it be possible to use one of the Transmitters paired with the USB C Receiver connected to an iPhone 15 and the other Transmitter paired with the Lightning Receiver connected to an iPhone 12 at the same time, or would they interfere with one another?
You had a lot of interference in the audio on your CES videos. Probably due so 100’s of people using wireless mics in the same area, so should not be a problem for normal use. But internal audio recording like some mics have, could have saved you. But I love that they include stickers to hide the logo. And the size is amazing. Pretty good bang for the buck.
Yea the interference was insane there. Like you heard with my AirPods comparison to the Lark M2, the Airpods had crazy interference issues (and they normally don't) where as in the same situation the Lark M2 was perfectly fine. In other locations we did have some, but we had so many brands that couldn't even show off their apps to their products or get all the features to work because of the crazy interference.
Great video! I have what is probably an odd question - do you think I could hang it from the lanyard inside a golf shirt while golfing? Twice in the past I had a mic attached with a "strong" magnet, and at some point during a golf game, they both disappeared (I'm sure it happened while swinging the golf club) so I'm afraid of just attaching anything to the outside of a shirt again that's magnetic
I am looking for a mic to start a social media project and i am going to use iPhone so you guys think holly land is the one of the dji 2 i really can use your advice because both are cool
I just purchased one on eBay too for about 110$ new. It's still less than amazon I was able to send an offer to a seller. The lark m2 is pretty amazing so far
Do the Microphone Transmitters record audio on them, like DJI Mic does, so audio is captured without worrying about loss in transmission to camera/phone?
I am considering buying these mics and I was wondering if you were to buy two sets would you be able to connect four of them in one go. If they don't do you have a recommendation? I am a content creator but cant afford to buy DJI mics or RODE mics which i think have the duel pair connection. Wonderful vid btw!
Honestly I'm not sure. With the USB-C interface your device would have to support dual audio inputs at the same time and then it could work. But if you're using the camera receiver then you could get a 3.5mm splitter and connect two of them to one input. I've never tried that but I have done a similar thing with other audio sources in the past.
Your Max Tech channel is truly remarkable - big fan. For those of us doing music videos - what is the latency factor on the HL M2? IS it comparable to or (hopefully) even better than the Rode Pro? Thank you and here's wishing you continued success.
@@Epicgamer_Mac Thank you - i spoke to RODE and the W Pro has 6ms of latency - The Hollyland appears to have 30 ms or approx. 1 frame at 29.97 (th-cam.com/video/crEAAoSK4iM/w-d-xo.html)
It drove me NUTS watching your CES videos trying to figure out the mics. But I finally did it. Watched several reviews (yours is a bit late to the party) and ordered the combo pack.
Hello :) Im thinking about picking this mic set up. Would you share your thoughts :) Im having a hard time finding content that is not sponsered, so sadly i cannot be 100% confident it works for my use case.
@@soysmc2933 First of all, what's your use case? Keep in mind that these mics aren't anything fancy, which for some can be frustrating. I have numerous systems (like seriously numerous) and when I use externals recently, I have reached for these. They're easy to use and have good sound quality. In fact, I find these to be much richer and less muffled than some of the more expensive ones I have. Honestly, I personally don't think you could find anything better for the price. With all that said, keep in mind, I'm not a professional. I just do vlogging stuff. BUT, sound quality is much more important to me than video quality. One nice thing, if you get them and use them early enough, you can always return them if you don't like them. Hope this helped.
Can I use this as a wireless "mic" that goes through a speaker? I am a PE teacher and would love to be able to just clip this on and use it as a mic through a portable speaker.
Just got my hands on one, I will take this to school and test it out - I am a PE teacher, let's see how "active" I can be and how it holds up while moving around! @@MaxTechOfficial
Hi max, just a stupid question, what happened if I use this two mics with DJI osmo pocket 3 + its own single DJI mic 2 (transmitter) ? Would 3 of them works together? Can someone answer this, please?
Can i connect the camera receiver output to any external speaker with 3.5 mm input and hear the voices in real time from both the trasmitters in real time ?
I will use it on the phone. Is there a mute button on the microphone or the phone receiver? What should I do if I want to prevent the sound from being cut off momentarily?
The USB-C/phone version not able to connect to a PC directly seem like a miss to me, since the Camera version uses a USB-C to USB-C connection for PC connection anyways. Also the fact that there's a knob for gain on the camera vers. but it only cycles between the 3 settings (low, mid, high) seem quite silly. It either should have been a button, which would shave down on the bulk of the camera receiver, or to have an actually slider range for gain control. These 2 minor flaws aside, I still think it's a really good mic for the money, and I hope the M3 would improve on the above 2
I have a Fulaim X5 which is also great, and use it with my iphone12pm and Insta360 Flow. But I have a problem that audio only starts being recorded after 2-3 seconds (doesn't happen with the default camera app. Does the M2 have this issue?
Is there a way to listen to/monitor the audio while recording to a camera or to the phone? Especially when using it with a camera, I don't think it's easy to tell how low or high the levels are with just those 3 leds on the receiver.
Can I use this for phone calls? When I call my wife she is preparing the food and that is very noisy sometimes. If I give this mic to her would it work when doing phone calls?
When I saw your CES video, the first thing I noticed how terrible your audio was, because I’m used to such high quality audio on your channel 😅 With that said, I think pretty much every wireless audio device is kind of a gimmick (none of them offer 32bit float wirelessly,) even with 32bit float mics… Best rout is to use something like the new DJI or Rode Pro wireless options, but only use internal recording and SYNCH IN POST, because even those mics can’t record in 32bit float wirelessly.
How are these for movement? I’ve started recording golf videos and I find that there’s a lot of cracking and interference whenever I swing and the microphones are getting moved around and coming into contact with my body/clothes
With all the crazy politics going on in the USA right now, I vote Max for president and Vadim for vice president 😉 Add in these mics and they have everything they need for the inaugural address ❤
Yeah Well it all depends on what you need , In my case I just need a good microphone to record some short (30-100 seconds) videos invites for a church in various scenarios for example, this mic does it pretty well .
I actually bought the pack that can connect to your camera and your phone and I've connected to my MacBook and you can have backup audio on your macbook or phone

Do the Microphone Transmitters record audio on them, like DJI Mic does, so audio is captured without worrying about loss in transmission to camera/phone?
Seems like a great mic set, I am considering getting it.
I do wonder however if the quality is good enough for live music / singing in general?
This helped move the needle to purchase! Thank you

It works like a regular mic input so if you're recording to an SSD from your iPhone it should be no problem.
