I don't see the combo kit for $179 you show in the video at the Amazon link? Just the TRS ($159), Lightning ($149), and USB-C ($139) 😞
When I was watching your videos from CES I notice the small, loud mic and wondered what it was. Now know. That's pretty awesome. Thanks for showing these.
So glad you reviewed this. Looks and sounds awesome. Might get one. Thanks.
Great job guys I love the quality and the size the Lark M2 amazing sound quality and noise cancellation. 👍
Thank you for this video! My wife and I are doing a vow renewal on a beach and I bought this for when we stream the renewal.
Seems like a great mic set, I am considering getting it.
I do wonder however if the quality is good enough for live music / singing in general?
This helped move the needle to purchase! Thank you
I come to Max for trusted reviews!
It is a great deal with great capabilities in a small package. The range of these mics are also insane. I have the Hollyland Lark Max and this also sounds the same as its big brother. However, I had to have both for different situations. The whole package is a great bargain to say the least. Love the audio quality and the versatility. HollyLand scores big with these products. For me, it was a game changer for my work. The CES videos, confirm it use in a worse case electromagnetic environment. It Rocks!!
A simple idea - Record your videos with the mic you are showing.
Sounds good!
Thanks I ordered now. I hope it works good with my Mac Studio
Do it work with the Mac Studio?
Do the Microphone Transmitters record audio on them, like DJI Mic does, so audio is captured without worrying about loss in transmission to camera/phone?
It drove me NUTS watching your CES videos trying to figure out the mics. But I finally did it. Watched several reviews (yours is a bit late to the party) and ordered the combo pack.
You would't believe how many people asked about them, both regular and many TH-camrs.
Hello :)
Im thinking about picking this mic set up. Would you share your thoughts :)
Im having a hard time finding content that is not sponsered, so sadly i cannot be 100% confident it works for my use case.
@@soysmc2933 First of all, what's your use case?
Keep in mind that these mics aren't anything fancy, which for some can be frustrating. I have numerous systems (like seriously numerous) and when I use externals recently, I have reached for these. They're easy to use and have good sound quality. In fact, I find these to be much richer and less muffled than some of the more expensive ones I have. Honestly, I personally don't think you could find anything better for the price. With all that said, keep in mind, I'm not a professional. I just do vlogging stuff. BUT, sound quality is much more important to me than video quality. One nice thing, if you get them and use them early enough, you can always return them if you don't like them. Hope this helped.
Lark or rode wireless for mics ?
I really like the aesthetics of the lark m2
It's really interesting that you bring this up. I actually think Vadim's mic sounded fine, but Max's sounded pretty bad.
It got better after a little bit, I kept having it too close to me and yelling a lot because of how dang loud it was there. Vadim speaks quieter in general so once I heard that I tried my best not to scream lol.
can you plug the receiver that's made for cameras into usb c on a phone using a usb cable?
Your Max Tech channel is truly remarkable - big fan. For those of us doing music videos - what is the latency factor on the HL M2? IS it comparable to or (hopefully) even better than the Rode Pro? Thank you and here's wishing you continued success.
The only info I believe they list is 24 bit depth, 48KHz sampling rate, 115 dB SPL, 70 dB signal-to-noise ratio, -15 dB noise cancelling
@@Epicgamer_Mac Thank you - i spoke to RODE and the W Pro has 6ms of latency - The Hollyland appears to have 30 ms or approx. 1 frame at 29.97 (th-cam.com/video/crEAAoSK4iM/w-d-xo.html)
Thank you for the great review. with the USB C receiver, if you use with a laptop, would you be able to control the volume/gain?, thanks
can control using application in the laptop
Is there a way to listen to/monitor the audio while recording to a camera or to the phone? Especially when using it with a camera, I don't think it's easy to tell how low or high the levels are with just those 3 leds on the receiver.
Is the USB-C port on the mobile receiver when connected to the iPhone 15 Pro able to output audio or usb power, rather than just charging the phone?
in the review you say you can switch between stereo and mono mode (at about 7 minutes), but according to the manual you can only do that when connected to a camera, not when connected through the mobile receiver- (the latter is always mono, sadly)
ah damn. i was wondering about that. still, love mine.
Great mic !!!
Awesome & Thanks :)
Hello! Does this work in the native camera app on iPhone or do I need to use the black magic app?
I am considering buying these mics and I was wondering if you were to buy two sets would you be able to connect four of them in one go. If they don't do you have a recommendation? I am a content creator but cant afford to buy DJI mics or RODE mics which i think have the duel pair connection. Wonderful vid btw!
Honestly I'm not sure. With the USB-C interface your device would have to support dual audio inputs at the same time and then it could work. But if you're using the camera receiver then you could get a 3.5mm splitter and connect two of them to one input. I've never tried that but I have done a similar thing with other audio sources in the past.
Ok awesome! Thank you so much! I was just curious! 🎉
i needed you guys to write when is recorded with that mic.
Can you connect more than 2 microphones to the transmitter? We vlog as a family of 4, so would need to connect more to hear us all.
Question could I use the lark m2 camera with my iPhone and the app? So I wanted to get the comb one but on Amazon wouldn’t here till Jan 31-Feb 8th. If I have the right adapter I can use it with my iPhone the camera lark m2. But will the app work?
Does the receiver record & store the audio so that way I don’t have to use my phone or my camera ?
Hey max the mirrorless camera supports 16 bit audio through trs cable how can we get 24 bit audio ?
How are these for movement? I’ve started recording golf videos and I find that there’s a lot of cracking and interference whenever I swing and the microphones are getting moved around and coming into contact with my body/clothes
I'm late but these are definitely my favorite Android mic set.
Hi the mic can be use for zoom meeting?
You had a lot of interference in the audio on your CES videos. Probably due so 100’s of people using wireless mics in the same area, so should not be a problem for normal use. But internal audio recording like some mics have, could have saved you. But I love that they include stickers to hide the logo. And the size is amazing. Pretty good bang for the buck.
Yea the interference was insane there. Like you heard with my AirPods comparison to the Lark M2, the Airpods had crazy interference issues (and they normally don't) where as in the same situation the Lark M2 was perfectly fine. In other locations we did have some, but we had so many brands that couldn't even show off their apps to their products or get all the features to work because of the crazy interference.
I have a Fulaim X5 which is also great, and use it with my iphone12pm and Insta360 Flow. But I have a problem that audio only starts being recorded after 2-3 seconds (doesn't happen with the default camera app. Does the M2 have this issue?
Lark M2 review coming out a mere hour after the DJI Mic 2 embargo was over. BAM!
Can it connect to pc and phone in the same time? and how to control sound if I use PC?
Can you connect a hard drive in the USB port?
Hi max, just a stupid question, what happened if I use this two mics with DJI osmo pocket 3 + its own single DJI mic 2 (transmitter) ?
Would 3 of them works together?
Can someone answer this, please?
Does it also work as a tc tugger?
Can I use this for phone calls? When I call my wife she is preparing the food and that is very noisy sometimes. If I give this mic to her would it work when doing phone calls?
After recording 2 mics, can I separate 2 audios?
Usb-C to gopro ?(models up to hero 11)?
The USB-C/phone version not able to connect to a PC directly seem like a miss to me, since the Camera version uses a USB-C to USB-C connection for PC connection anyways.
Also the fact that there's a knob for gain on the camera vers. but it only cycles between the 3 settings (low, mid, high) seem quite silly. It either should have been a button, which would shave down on the bulk of the camera receiver, or to have an actually slider range for gain control.
These 2 minor flaws aside, I still think it's a really good mic for the money, and I hope the M3 would improve on the above 2
can it be standalone or you need a camera or a phone
It is so cute ❤
Would love if the receiver have own battery
Can u use this while recording video to an SSD like on the 15 Pro for example?
It works like a regular mic input so if you're recording to an SSD from your iPhone it should be no problem.
You didn’t mention any downside. Are there any?
Can I use this as a wireless "mic" that goes through a speaker? I am a PE teacher and would love to be able to just clip this on and use it as a mic through a portable speaker.
Just put the pic on you and use the receiver 3.5mm output to connect to your portable speaker.
Just got my hands on one, I will take this to school and test it out - I am a PE teacher, let's see how "active" I can be and how it holds up while moving around! @@MaxTechOfficial
3:15 Three is not a ton but still great)
I love mugnets.
Hmmm I have the same ones there’s no app…?
Can i connect the camera receiver output to any external speaker with 3.5 mm input and hear the voices in real time from both the trasmitters in real time ?
I dont see why not, I used my Rode Wireless Go that way (with the obvious caveat about feedback if you are using a PA)
I think the only thing missing is internal recording on the mics
I’ll wait for the M3 Max model😂
Lol!
When I saw your CES video, the first thing I noticed how terrible your audio was, because I’m used to such high quality audio on your channel 😅 With that said, I think pretty much every wireless audio device is kind of a gimmick (none of them offer 32bit float wirelessly,) even with 32bit float mics… Best rout is to use something like the new DJI or Rode Pro wireless options, but only use internal recording and SYNCH IN POST, because even those mics can’t record in 32bit float wirelessly.
What about when there's wind?
There is a wind Baffle included in the kit.
Nice tshirt 😅
Looks good BUT...
Does the Rx fit on the iPhone in a CASE? LOTS of this type DO NOT!!!
yes, it fits with a case, there is enough of a gap (if your case isn’t hugely bulky)
@@storiestellr thank you!
First comment as a supporter 1 second ago I like my own comment to
This kind of attention to consumers needs puts Apple to shame.
in 2024, I won't buy a wireless mic system that doesn't have backup recording as an option. This Hollyland mic system doesn't.
But it does have an amazing feature that records your thoughts and your feelings
Yeah Well it all depends on what you need , In my case I just need a good microphone to record some short (30-100 seconds) videos invites for a church in various scenarios for example, this mic does it pretty well .
It has back up. If you attach both of them to yourself
I actually bought the pack that can connect to your camera and your phone and I've connected to my MacBook and you can have backup audio on your macbook or phone
@@PaintingwithGeorge will one transmitter send to two receiver at the same time?
With all the crazy politics going on in the USA right now, I vote Max for president and Vadim for vice president 😉
Add in these mics and they have everything they need for the inaugural address ❤
WHO ELSE CAME HERE CUZ OF TIKTOK
but why... is your tshirt so wet :)
its a game changer but the audio quality sounds poor
You sound like it is only made for an iPhone .
