@@pnwlife8593 u kno how DC2 integra have the bumper lights that that stay on and blink , and the DA integra just blinks , it was a famous mod back in 2002 when I 1st did it. Very simple if you dont mind adding a wire.
@@pnwlife8593 u have to get the 3 wire 1157 pigtail and then you'll be good, I just used the hot wire from the side markers and everything else was cool , no fast blinkers or nothing.
@@pnwlife8593 headsup, I had some ebay china brand amber bumper lights and the cover melted due to the facts the bulb is always on now, so what I did was get a #2057 bulb I believe because it sits further away from the lens and had no problems after that , but you'll see once u have everything in front of you what im talking about.

Man.. my climate control is completely broken in my CRX.. Really considering doing this, but this process looks really daunting. Plus I really prefer the look of the OEM CRX climate control. I would pay someone to do this swap for me if it meant I could save money compared to paying for a working CRX climate control. (And just deal with the fact that it looks different).

You ever try plastic welding? I’ve fixed a bunch of broken tabs on interior trim with it and some steel wool for added strength.

Missing my old crx
25:00 some mitsubishi ignition switch sockets(male/female) are like that but also molded on the ign switch. If there are mitsubishi suvs/vans in the yard maybe try checking the steering column
My Landcruiser 60 Series and my Nissan 300ZX has this sockets with an pigtail on the ignition switch

Yup need a plug and play harness for this. Unfortunatly nobody wants to make or at least sell them if they can make them.
@@pnwlife8593 off top 2 people asked for prices,and im 100%sure people would rather do this swap then to spend 100s on an original thats going to break. In my opinion the accord looks much better and still period correct.

Feels bad bro! I went with an action clutch kit and flywheel since you recommended them. upon arrival the throw out bearing was damaged. I email them and they keep saying theirs no way they could of shipped it damaged! I had to of done it! So frustrating

Hey , I know this is an older video, I'm currently attempting that mod at the moment but with a 96 - 98 civic climate control, majority of the wire colors match and the fan speed plug is exactly the same as in the crx and since you had the 2 pieces from your crx climate control , it would make the electronic part plug and play, my only issue is the the 2 manual wires , one opens and closes the flap for the fresh air and the other opens and closes the temp vavle , the ek civic only has the temp valve , I'm trying to figure it out, so it be cool to see how you'd figure that part out
Where can I buy one of the extra you got?
I did this conversion and now the ground wire coming out of the fan selector side is heating up so I dont want to solder until problem is fixed. Any one have experience with this? All grounds tested good.

I have 2 spare crx ac units now,broken of course but never the less im going to do this modification. So i see you had to desolder the plugs from the small board. Were there anymore mods you had to do this?

They are like Legos but fortunately we have people who are pioneers and show us how to make many of these parts work.
How is this an improvement to the older one?
