@@melithegamer1271 The slope of a line isn’t too hard, all you need is two points and the formula: Y2-Y1 divided by X2-X1. X2 and Y2 are the points of whichever set you want to choose first. For instance, if you have (1,2) [where X2=1 and Y2=2], and you have (-2,4) [where X1=-2 and Y1=4], then you plug the points in like so: 2-4 divided by 1+2. This would simplify to -2/3 as your slope

An increasing line(such as in this example) will always have a positive slope(whether you take a higher starting point or lower, it doesn't matter)
Whereas, a decreasing line will always have a negative slope(because as x values increase, the y-values decrease, thus making the change in x +ve and change in y -ve, and taking this ratio will fetch you a -ve slope)

So if the line goes up on the right side its increasing and has a positive sign but if the line goes up in the left side its decreasing and has a negative sign right
@@ql5481 we read graphs from left to right so in your second example it would be going from the 2nd quadrant (top left) and down to the fourth quadrant (bottom right)

This is so great, especially the quadratic problems, really needed to brush up for a super important test..this is so great....if I had this guy in high school instead of my stupid teacher who just cared about all his students knowing the correct terminology in math instead of caring if his students got the right answers.....I would have been happen to save myself tons of hours of tutoring in college & years in math....my high school teacher he made it so hard, whereas my next teacher made it that particular part so easy, it was crazy...cuz she didnt care if all I knew was the terminology. She made sure her students knew how to get the right answer, by knowing all the steps & how to check your answers yourself

It doesn't really matter what point you start with whether it be with x or y as long as you know which point is x and which point is y. If you pick a certain way you might end up with negative numbers or in another way you might end up with positive numbers. Just simplify it and if you get two negative number divide them by -1 and
