I really can't thank you enough. I'm a graphic designer and I'm just starting to delve into the world of animation, modelling and vfx and I've felt so overwhelmed - I'm starting by learning Houdini which so many people have advised me against. It's so hard to find information on where to begin, what to learn alongside Houdini, what I should pour my focus into if I want to land my first job a few years down the line... My free time is precious and I want to make sure I invest it well - Your videos are answering so many questions I've had in such a concise manner, it's like I stumbled upon a channel that's putting all of my worries at ease.
That's great to read @EileenSloane . I'm glad that this video was able to find you then :) You'll find a lot of people that will advise you against Houdini, but that's a reason why there's more opportunity. Less people who are good at it + increasing studio demand = future opportunity. It can be a rough learning curve at first, but once you get past that, it becomes a lot of fun and you'll become much stronger CGI artist because of it. Good luck with your studies! - Tyler
