  • Deciphering the Secret of the "WILL"
Join us for an enlightening Torah study shiur as we delve into the intriguing details of the responsibilities assigned to the sons of Levi in this week's Parasha. The previous Parasha concluded with the counting of the sons of Kehas, who were tasked with carrying the holiest vessels of the Tabernacle, including the Aron, the Shulchan, and the Menorah. Interestingly, their older brother Gershon was given the responsibility of carrying the secondary vessels. This raises questions, especially considering the Torah's emphasis on respecting the firstborn.
Moreover, the Levites were designated as the tribe responsible for teaching Torah and providing Halachic guidance to the entire nation. Why then did Hashem assign them the physical task of transporting the Tabernacle's components? This shiur will explore the deeper meaning behind this divine directive, examining whether Hashem's will is for people to solely dedicate themselves to Torah study or to also engage in physical occupations.
Through this discussion, we will uncover the spiritual significance of having an occupation and how it aligns with the broader goals of Torah learning and spiritual growth. Join us to gain profound insights into what Hashem truly desires from us and the harmonious balance between learning Torah and engaging in worldly tasks.
Shiur is given by Rabbi Fridmann from Badatz Miami. www.badatzmiami.com
