God doesn’t have an image. There is nothing that can be compared to Him. He is not like a human being who eats, sleeps, gets tired, gets old and sick and then die. He is beyond human imagination. He created the heavens and the earth. He created the sun, moon, stars, oceans, deserts etc. etc. Humans cannot do that any of these. He created the human without a human by His command “Be”. When Jesus, peace be upon him, returns before the end of times, he will speak the truth and all will become Muslims.
The answer is blatantly obvious. The Torah and Old Testament were written by the Israelites. They would be extremely unlikely to write that God had chosen other tribes as his chosen people.

Of course you are CORRECT. Everything that Christ taught was already written in the ancient Eastern Scriptures, INCLUDING the fact that God's "Chosen People" are indeed they who CHOOSE to love God beyond all things, no matter what one's cultural differences are. The problem is that MOST Westerners refuse to read and study the Eastern Scriptures (or are even aware of them), even though that is where Christ was schooled, and his Sermon on the Mount was strictly Eastern in nature.

Ever since waking up from my lukewarm Christianity -- taking for granted the gift of my Catholic baptism in my youth, and now, having been recently introduced to The Chosen series, I have begun reading the Bible. One of the most significant questions I have is why (many of) the Jews (God's beloved people) in Jesus' time rejected him and his message. As I continue to look for the answer, I came upon this video. Thank you for giving me another perspective on the general assumption of Jewish "specialness." The idea of "a people chosen by God" has magnified, at least to non-Jews, the seeming arrogance and ingratitude of the Jews. But to see Jews as the descendants of God's chosen man (Abraham), the perceived ingratitude and arrogance of the race are no more surprising than humanity's general tendency to pride. I pray that all earth's people heed and keep God's covenant with Abraham.

God was pleased with Abraham so he chose him to be his obedient servant and blessed him and his Isaac and Jacob descendants. However, not all Israelites will enter heaven for many of them do not believe and follow Jesus who claimed himself that he is the only way to Heaven.

When they became a nation the majority of them were rebellious throughout that old covenant age, and when Christ came, they rejected Him. Then He died, rose again and ascended back to heaven. In Matthew 24 and Luke 21 Jesus told of the coming destruction of Jerusalem, which happened in 70 AD by the Roman armies. The city was destroyed along with their temple, and God turned His back on them as it is to this day. The veil is over their eyes, they are blinded by the Lord Himself. God's chosen people since that time are all people who believe in and follow Jesus from all nations (Gentiles) and we are the church. If a Jewish person believes in Jesus, that person is added to the church. But there is no future for national, ethic Israel. We are under the new covenant now. AMEN

The Isrealite-Jews were the chosen people who God had selected to separate from the ways of the paganistic world. He chose Abraham and Sarah to be the lineage of Jesus. God's master plan was to bring forth the Eternal Lamb for the salvation of both Jews and the Gentiles. Jesus shed His blood for the world. The Isrealite-Jews were chosen because God found favor in Abraham and made a covenant for his descendants, which Jesus. They re not favored over anyone else. God reiterated the land promise to Joshua when he was about to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land So apparently, according to the Holy Bible, God gave the promise land to Isaac's descendants, not Ishmael.

God's covenant with Israel was conditional. God did not break his covenant, but Israel did. "IF" is the key word in Exodus 19:5-8. Also read Galatians Chapter 3. After watching the movie Leave The World Behind…The ending where the little girl does exactly that after no one would listen to her warnings most of the times. Everything that Christ taught was already written in the ancient Eastern Scriptures, INCLUDING the fact that God's "Chosen People" are indeed they who CHOOSE to love God beyond all things, no matter what one's cultural differences are. One of the most significant questions I have is why (many of) the Jews (God's beloved people) in Jesus' time rejected him and his message. As I continue to look for the answer, I came upon this video. Thank you for giving me another perspective on the general assumption of Jewish "specialness." The idea of "a people chosen by God" has magnified, at least to non-Jews, the seeming arrogance and ingratitude of the Jews. But to see Jews as the descendants of God's chosen man (Abraham), the perceived ingratitude and arrogance of the race are no more surprising than humanity's general tendency to pride. I pray that all earth's people heed and keep God's covenant with Abraham.

God's covenant with Israel was conditional. God did not break his covenant, but Israel did. "IF" is the key word in Exodus 19:5-8. Also read Galatians Chapter 3. Apostle Paul' states it is those who accept Christ, whether Jew or Gentile are of Abrahams seed which would mean those who accept Jesus are the chosen people of God. After watching the movie Leave The World Behind…The ending where the little girl does exactly that after no one would listen to her warnings most of the times.
