Great video. Having been around several martial arts and combat sports for a couple of decades, my most reliable self defense technique is definitely "get strong." Its the technique I use to set up all of my other techniques and makes them way easier... For real though, technique can help overcome a strength difference but if the gap is too big you're screwed anyway. Id love to see a video comparing techniques with vastly different individuals and how size and strength relates to technique.
I agree. 3 basic disciplines covers the umbrella of real life encounters. Being as deliberate as possible in the shortest amount of time to get the most effective stopping power in an non-weapon encounter will hopefully get good results.
On the second one where you block and go to the left of his right punch, you could give him a liver shot then run or finish him with a kick or something.
looking good Rob...I like it when I see videos put out by kjkb students...Im always amazed at how very few kjkb people will get up in front of a camera....I guess because cameras are also honest and show it all :)....
To me, I do think most martial art have technic to teach and not all in the technic to be use in real fight. Its to built up your muscle memory mostly. its not like a step by step to be use in real fight, which ever chances come you can apply what ever you learn or practice and even some time because the of the muscle memory on you, its respond by its self. We in Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Singapore have some similar martial art, and most of the 2 or 3 step for real fight only will be though when you end you Final section of the course. But now days most people from our side teach only the final course to compete world wide ..whose the most effective way... that the end of it, the whole structure teaching was collapse.
@@FreestyleMartialArtist yes, you are right. That is my opinion the beauty of martial arts- to recognize similarities and frames. Stay safe, greetings from Germany.
Bro this is all encompassing. You’re still doing this from a controlled environment. You won’t be don’t all this fancy shit. I work on protective service and this is all of a CO. Dude common

Ah yes. The seldom used but often applicable hug technique.
Hugs are just takedowns that haven’t happened yet.

That would be super cool, and I've got just the right plan for it, I think.
Technique 2 was straight out of the Office. Total Dwight Shrute move. LMAO 😅
