The Ottoman Empire was not a Race-oriented Empire until 1789.
The vast majority of the wives of the emperor were Serbian, Russian, Greek.
It was the Turkish Empire but more of a family empire.
He fought dozens of Turkish states that existed at the same time, defeated almost all of them and expanded their lands.
He even fought with the Seljuk Empire, a Turkish Empire that was established in Anatolia and includes parts of today's Iran, Iraq, Syria, Russia, and India lands, and led to its collapse.
When the Byzantine Empire was destroyed in 1453, the Byzantine Empire actually continued to exist within the Ottoman Empire.
Byzantium turned into Ottoman, and Ottoman into Byzantium.
Except for 12 symbolic churches, it has not touched any of the churches.
The center of Orthodoxy continued to be Istanbul.
(In fact, the Ottoman Empire did not even change the name of the city, leaving it as Constantinople. Atatürk changed the name of the city after the British saw that they were coveting and claiming Istanbul during World War I.)
While Ottoman Europe was in bigotry, under the rule of the church, it was actually a secular country (if not in the current sense).
Sheikhulislam was under the command of the sultan.
The laws he wanted would definitely be passed by the parliament.
If the Şeyhulislam did not find the law suitable for religion, he would change the Şeyhulislam and pass that law through the parliament.
Sheikhulislams were also mostly very forward-thinking and intelligent people.
For example, the last Sheikhulislam was a painter, he brought piano teachers from Europe for his children to receive education.
He also played the piano very well.
When the Ottoman Empire swallowed the Byzantine Empire, it actually took the first steps towards its own end.
Because now he had made great enemies with bigger borders around him.
    Greetings to all friends...
    Peace and brotherhood are good.
No one should covet anyone's land anymore.
    Mothers don't cry.

Lots of mistakes there. Ottoman Empire never fought against the Seljuk Empire, since the Seljuk Empire collapsed before the rise of Ottomans. Sheikhulislams, janissaries and viziers had a vast influence over sultans. Though it's official name was Konstantiniyye, people always called it Istanbul or Payitaht which means "the capital". Ottoman Empire had never been a secular country.

      @mathcat5604 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

I don't think I'm wrong. There may be a difference of interpretation.
1- When the Seljuks lost the war with the Mongols, they entered the process of collapse.
In 1299, when the Seljuk State was in the process of collapsing in Anatolia, Osman Bey conquered Bilecik, Yarhisar and İnegöl with his close friends. Yenişehir was conquered in 1301. He seized the lands belonging to the Seljuks and gained new lands by fighting with Byzantium. Later, he fought with the Turkish Principalities that were formed after the complete dissolution of the Seljuks.
2- Of course, the Ottoman Empire was not a secular state in today's sense. However, the Ottoman Empire was never a 'purely' religious state. The sultan himself appoints the Shaykh al-Islam, dismisses him whenever he wishes, and even beheads him if he gets angry.
To date, Shaykh al-Islam have been executed.
3- In my opinion, it was a great misfortune that the Caliphate fell into the hands of the Turks. Because, after the caliphate, the effectiveness of Shaykh al-Islam and clergy increased. The Sultan felt obliged to listen to the clergy, although it was not mandatory. For this reason, the reform that started in Europe reached the Ottoman Empire very late.
