ALSO! not so related to gameplay but in wendy's character introduction, it mentions that as a child, wendy preferred science books, pesticides, and fertilizers over toys. when she grew up and went to college, she researched about the weather and her scientific discovery. it says that her discovery was about carbon dioxide increasing temperature in the atmosphere faster (aka the greenhouse effect, which is what eunice newton foote discovered irl), but this research was only accepted when it was published by a male colleague like what we saw in the trailer. after her research was used, her friends/friend(?) who helped her research gave up and left wendy to be on her own. in wendy's trailer, we see a character who looks a lot like melly helping her research. in melly's deductions, it says she received an invitation to go to a college, either to teach or do something else who knows. this could be the same college that wendy attended, and they couldve done research on the greenhouse effect together. even if it seems a bit random that an entomologist is helping a meteorologist, it is possible that melly wanted to do her own research on carbon dioxide as well, bc CO2 is used when handling bees as it can make them easier to handle and also help with their reproduction. this combined with wendy's interest in pesticides means that she was likely wendy's friend before foinf back, leaving wendy all alone. (also it's interesting that if melly was in the trailer, she chose to be unmasked) thats all a theory since we dont know if the girl in her trailer even is melly, but if it is then maybe wendy's independence and personal drive couldve been a factor in melly wanting independence from her husband(they were already seperated atp but ykwim), only to be disappointed when wendy had to give her research to a man, which could be why she left again. in the deduction after the invitation to a college, melly makes a diary entey that says "how will i face the rest of my years with so much missing in my life?"-this couldve been influence by her time with wendy. this is all speculation ofc, but i hope they are connected 🙏🙏

For example: Supporting teammates with a big push to the hunter Using rainfall to waste less time with healing Using your tall flight at the gate to make the hunter not hit you Using more durability can sometimes be better at some situations. Lots of folks are complaining about characters who's abilities are weaker versions of others, merged together, but I personally have always enjoyed it. We have pushing like Melly, floating like Charles, and passive healing like Demi. Also, they released a tweet with percentages! Her abilities are powerful, but SUPER limited with the percentages.
I think her healing is the best thing about her (mostly because she can heal matthias) i also feel like her kiting has alot of potential against the meta characters like ivy,hullabaloo and maybe opera i think we finally have a new surv thats a solid high A tier instead of high b tier low a tier like the last two
Omg I just realized 4:31 the statistics are stated (gale=cloud stratus=tornado) I think she will be a character like Lily where her support poses a bigger threat than her chase and if her ability drainage is like anti where she can go into “debt” (low percent left but since it’s the last she can still use stun) then she has options for what she wants to use. 1. Four clouds 2. 1 of everything 2. 2 tornadoes +1 cloud or 1 rainfall 3. Three rainfall I feel the two tornadoes will be most common because what is that push back 😭 (maybe bring insolence to counter? Like forward /ganji)

I actually thought about the rain giving survivors some kind of buff but I didn't expect it to be healing because we very rarely get characters that can self heal or heal others in different ways. It makes sense that it's rare because self healing is definitely strong as it saves so much time that can go to decoding. Even doc who's not a very good character can be so annoying because of her healing. Her healing is kinda like Barmaid but yeah I guess you do need to stand still inside the rain.

Im thinking her could floating could be like gravekeeper, but over head instead. Drop a bunch of pallets, fly over them while the hunter breaks them and catches up. I wonder if the storm can balloon rescue during the pick up animation? The healing will be convenient when you escape the hunter, and have no one to heal you, so you can set up a rain cloud above a cipher and heal while you decode.
logically yes since when the animation shows that they are tying them to the balloon so the strong wind should make them drop the balloon but its like batter you have a short window to rescue or else its pointless
Drawing on pc seems a bit difficult, but it looks like she can draw them beforehand and keep them there and it doesnt seem like its immediate. Though it might be tricky, she seems super fun!

I think her skills are good (especially the dungeon one) even for rescuing she can push the hunter pretty far but i don't think it counts as a stun but hey, everyone was saying goatman would be a tie hunter and now he's pretty overpowered so let's see

I agree with you on the fact that she's really interesting. Just the mere complexity of her skills and how hard it is to guess just how well she'd be as a survivor makes her really catch my eye. I will say that I don't believe her rain skill will be as good as you thought it would--it is a rain cloud, meaning it could easily be spotted by hunters and they can just go over and pressure the area so nobody can get healed--meaning she would have wasted durability on perhaps nothing (probably better to just heal the survivor secretly). I really like how versatile she is--if you really think about it she can work as a rescuer (ability can push hunters away so she can rescue), harasser (push hunters away from kiters), support (rain cloud heals other survivors better), and technically contain (a good survivor with these skills can probably do a pretty decent first kite). My biggest curiosity is whether or not her wind ability to push hunters away can drop a survivor on a balloon--that would be very interesting!!! I also think she'd probably be best combined with a decoder so she won't waste her resources early on since the decoder is taking the kite (to me she seems very vulnerable for first kite just because her abilities seem dangerous for end game and supporting). Also, I think the skill should work as an adjustable graph for PC. It'll be really hard to draw squiggles on PC mid kite so maybe having lines that you can just adjust to your liking would be a lot more appropriate. I have no idea how good of a survivor she is and Im honestly excited to find out once she realizes--she does look extremely fun!!!

I can already tell she's going to be annoying. I'm getting flashbacks to "Knight" when he got his abilities revealed since like Wendy, he has good kiting, rescue, and support capabilities. I'd honestly consider running Blink or Excitement for her because her support is going to be really good. She can use Gale to push back pretty far or hold you for pretty long, which could make a kite last a lot longer than it would normally. Her hover might be annoying, but I think I could use hook on her normally like with low-flying Toy Merchants. Not sure what to do when she flies over a bunch of high walls though. If only Gamekeeper could aim up and down.
If they ever let him do that, they better make you have to be incredibly precise with the hook bc he's already annoying with the hook's hitbox, I can't imagine if one of the few things that counters him was not a problem anymore.
This is the only other survivor aside from Little Girl that I’m actually hyped for. Like she looks genuinely fun to play with, I’m definitely gonna main her along with LG and Naiad. (Also it’s a good day to play on an iPad with a stylus lol B)

i would pay money to see luchino vs her (or even axe boy souls or violetta webs to hit her in the air). i also wonder if she can use large stratus to get up to 2 story areas or if she can go through an upstairs vault with stratus and just never hit the ground to remove risk of dropdown hits

Aeroplanist x Melly x inverse Naiad. 5:25 i assume she'll work like Cowboy Lasso or Anti Flute where she can cast a skill even if she theoretically doesn't have enough percentage left for it? but maybe since she has so much control over her skill, it'll be different for her. As most characters these days she'll be annoying but still not meta, because all survivors get all-rounder kits. tbh it's a little frustrating... ik that hunters have been more allrounders recently too, but it still just feels unfair. at this rate there will never be any good first chase target, and while ties being the norm is good it's also just becoming so stale and allowing for even less variety in gameplay than we already have. But alas, that's just complaints of a tired eu hunter lol- she looks fun and the drawing gimmick is genuinely interesting! she'll have a lot of skill expression I feel.
Well you can only use two, which you wont use both on healing, while batter’s item is reusable. She’s much slower than charles too, but i still think she’s awesome and strong

I think she might have slow vaulting/pallet drop since she can hover above everything and therefore not having to worry about it

5:25 i assume she'll work like Cowboy Lasso or Anti Flute where she can cast a skill even if she theoretically doesn't have enough percentage left for it? but maybe since she has so much control over her skill, it'll be different for her.
As most characters these days she'll be annoying but still not meta, because all survivors get all-rounder kits. tbh it's a little frustrating... ik that hunters have been more allrounders recently too, but it still just feels unfair. at this rate there will never be any good first chase target, and while ties being the norm is good it's also just becoming so stale and allowing for even less variety in gameplay than we already have.
But alas, that's just complaints of a tired eu hunter lol- she looks fun and the drawing gimmick is genuinely interesting! she'll have a lot of skill expression I feel.

Well you can only use two, which you wont use both on healing, while batter’s item is reusable. She’s much slower than charles too, but i still think she’s awesome and strong
