I wish there was more education on medical communication. Just being able to describe the pain in the correct way can help the doctors take us more seriously. Is it sharp, general, travels down a line, in a specific location, only happens after x activity, the amounts of pain during casual activity. Ive seen may people online be surprised that the normal level of pain per day is none. It is not normal to be in pain.
i just wanted to say, i already figured out last year that indeed the normal amount of daily pain should be none, and that i in fact have fibromyalgia. but if i hadnt figured that out yet, then your comment here would have jumpstarted my research right now, and i think thats seriously valuable ❤ so thank you for your comment :) edit: typos
People also tend to dismiss whatever they consider to be mundane pain. I had headaches that hit up to 8 out of 10 since the beginning of middle school, but because they were associated with reading/using PC my doc said it's fairly normal. Turns out one of my eyes at some point rapidly worsened in vision and i didn't even notice because second eye started pulling double shifts.
this hits so close to home i have quite a few diagnoses, INCLUDING a few medically recognized chronic illnesses (ibs, asthma) and doctors tend to not notice my issues i'm so glad to see this game is a thing! i hope it blows up so more people become aware of the struggles when it comes to the medical system
i genuinely believed the game was gonna end in death. either stress and pain wearing down your body so badly you die from physical causes, or being so unbearable you take your life. or being broke from being unable to go to work at all. worst part? its incredibly realistic too. when you dont find that one doctor that actually believes you, listens, does their job.
Very interesting game! I noticed that as the character described additional symptoms the minimum amount of pain increased.. It makes me upset that people have to experience this No one should have to live in pain because they don't have money or because doctors refuse to listen
As someone with multiple chronic illnesses, this is exactly how I feel. Been to the doctor (multiple, at least 5-6 types) at least 50-70 times this year. This is so relatable it hurts.
took me about 15 years to get my diagnosis. i dont even live in the US, and healthcare is (mostly) free here... its a worldwide issue, i believe. this game hit very very very close to home, even if the symptoms are different ❤
19:30 a couple months ago i liedtto the doctor enough to got prescribed a couple slides of pregabalin for nerve pain. it didn't help. because i was giving it to friends and also using it to get high to g Cope. because it feels like being abutterfky 🦋 did you know about how pregabalin is linked to depression and suicidal ideation. did you know using pregabalin just one time with some certain mental disorders or illnesses can cause suicidal episodes and self harm. did you know this magical nerve pain solving pill could cause one of your best friends with nerve pain that you kinda saved from an abusive relationship to just seperate themselves from your friend group and butterfly effect themself right back to where they startef. Always read the label
when i first got diagnosed with adhd, i had to go through multiple people who just didn't buy my symptoms. i had severe adhd, but because i was over 12, they probably passed it off. 90% sure there's more that's wrong with me than that, but would be even harder and more annoying to get a diagnosis for
At the ending of the game i started crying thats all i want a lead to what causes my pain, tests that can tell me whats wrong, and something that can help no more days where the pain is so unbearable i wouldn't walk but i have to ive been told everything under the sun but its not joint problems, its not growing pains they dont listen and its not just the doctors it friends, family, anybody, nobody believes me but its just pain i feel like im rotting, i feel like my bones will fall apart, i feel like my muscles are paralyzed i feel like im being stabed with needles and hit with bats i just want to not feel this
this game is so damn relatable.... years now ive been trying to fight for a diagnosis for my chronic pain and my doctor tells me to wait it out or to try to exercise more (i work a VERY physical job. but that doesnt count i guess). heres hopeing things can get better
Struggling with this. Massive back pain my whole life, can't stand too long without my back feeling like it's on fire. Every doctor just equates it to my weight.. sure, I'm fat but I'm active enough that my weight should not be making me feel like my spine is about to burst out of my back.
Omg yes! I got my diagnosis after two years of being able to do nothing and barely get out of bed, and that’s because I had something else happen and was forced with a different doctor. But then I got a diagnosis and had to fight to not have everything blamed on THAT. Turns out there’s more than one issue, who knew? (I did and was saying it the whole time.)
To be fair, doctors also have it rough, they don't know whether you truly have a condition with 100% certainty, they can't take you for your word 100% because people who fake diseases exist and if they misdiagonse you it might result in them loosing their license or being demoted. That being said, it's absolutely horrendous that you have to go to several doctors to get a true diagnosis going, it feels that most doctors went in because their parents forced them to go into medicine during college and now they are stuck at a job they hate and don't find that much meaning in except for the money it brings, thus you get general pain diagnoses or just being prescribed meds to take care of the symptoms and not the underlying issue. I remember when I was little, I had eaten a small plastic piece of something while nobody was looking, I had stomach pain, my parents had to scour the best possible hospitals and get several diagnoses before one of them thought of the idea of doing an actual scan (yes I know, nobody else even thought about that) and then I had to go through surgery to get the thing out from my stomach (I don't remember the details 100% but it was related to that)
To be fair, any doctor can order a test. And any results that arent normal should be taken seriously. They absolutely *can* take my word for it if they actually put in the effort to do their jobs and at least send a simple test in. You can't fake test results. Period. And any "doctor" that refuses to order one isn't worth their salt. I'm bedridden now and can't even eat normally because I couldn't find a doctor willing to order any sort of testing until it was too late. I guarantee you *they* didn't "have it rough". Not all hospital systems actually care about their patients, hun. I was in and out of the ER CONSTANTLY, the only advice I ever got is "oh yeah you need your doctor to order this test asap, we can't help you here." And every single time. All they ever did was laugh me out of their office and told me to go back to the ER. Back to the ER.. back to the doctor.. back to the ER... Back to the doctor...For. FIVE. YEARS. I've been in situations where my heart literally threatened to stop, and they *left me on read* . I had to travel OUT OF STATE for my diagnosis. And then travel even more to find a doctor that actually gave a shit about the results. If a doctor isn't willing to do the bare minimum of *trusting their patients* and testing them when they say that something is wrong, they need their license revoked anyway.

THATS HOW YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO DESCRIBE IT?????????

I saw this and downloaded it and beat it before even watching the video!
i dont have chronic pain and have been blessed with mostly good doctors, and seeing people think this game is accurate is mildly terrifying
Omg don quixote

Bro when did it say your hands were falling off? It probably meant the numbness to be taken as arthritis or smth.
I’m pretty sure they are saying that it *feels like* their hands are falling of
Sir the way you are playing this game enrages me
Good content but omg
This is bad memories.
I’m gonna send this to my mom and see what she thinks of this, but I don’t doubt she’ll probably relate tbh
This is so under rated! New sub!
! spoilers !
why you never use note button 😭 i'm now at 18th minute of the video
