Kyle, according to their website, this model chair is for "tall and heavy people". Specifically 6'0"-6'7" and up to 285 lbs. No wonder your feet weren't touching the ground LOL
Thanks to those in the comments for teaching me what spring washers are! Still not sure why I couldn't get the bolts threaded when trying to use them. Good thing I only do reviews on *PC* hardware. x]
+Awesomesauce Network Sometimes you have to press on the bolt to load the washer and flatten it to get to the threads. There might have been a bit more springiness in the steel then they expected.
+Awesomesauce Network What is your height/weight? This chair is made for 6'0"-6'6" and slightly heavier folk. Just curious for comparison because I am 6'0" and a heavier dude.
+Awesomesauce Network I want to know if my cats are going to tear it apart or not be interested. They've already ruined like 3 of my office chairs, so I can't get nice ones anymore.
The thing is, you can buy an ergonomic and durable chair in the range of $200 - infinite. But no need to pay 5 fuckin bucks if you don't want to. Mine was 270, awesome chair, very sturdy durable, fabric cuz I hate sweating during summer.
+DinckelMan It's call priorities man!! ;-) I've had the same high back office chair for nearly 11 years that has black duck tape holding the arms together, but just spent $300 for 3 1080p 24in monitors, along with a new keyboard, mouse, ram, and Video card upgrade for my system lol! seriously though I'm watching sales, and just waiting for the right time to jump in on an office chair.
Lunaverse I really feel for you guys in AU, almost everything is expensive from what I've seen. Check on Korean monitors, and see if you can't get an imported deal.
"....serve my work or jerk needs." I had to rewind this video a dozen times to catch the last couple minutes because I couldn't stop myself from laughing to the point of tears each time. It's official, I am going to subscribe for entertainment value alone.
Discovered you a couple months ago, and you quickly skyrocketed to one of my favorites. Your commentary is funny and captivating without being distracting. Keep up the fantastic work!
After 3 x 14 hour day's I went with this company's chair. It was a great upgrade from the 20$ model that I'd had for several years and it's made a big difference. Not wanting to cry after several all nighters from work is well...pretty awesome. Having not tried other brands I can't say that it's the best but I can say that it was worth every penny that I spent.
Although I'm not particularly fond of the product itself, I give this video a thumbs up and seal of approval because of the sheer humor and execution. You also earned yourself another sub; well done.
+Angel Luis Trinidad Its a valid concern, after 5 years of 'use' a patch of leather on my recliner has become manly funky with a hint of bean and beer residue
So I've got a DX-Racer F-Series for about half a year now and I am very happy with it. It's very comfortable for long work-/game-time as well as laying down in it watching netflix. Very nice chair!
+DerTyp OhneCape Thinking of getting one myself. My current "office" chair is killing me, at my age I need something better, lol. That's what you get for $0 though.
DerTyp OhneCape I've heard the f series is for shorter guys. A lot of people that like f series are around 5'8" give or take an inch. I've heard guys around 6 foot like a different model.

Excellent video. I think what really speaks out to me is the lumbar support, I like how Maxnomic have decided to integrate this into the seat rather than tie it on with bungee cords as an afterthought. I now have my choices narrowed down to 2 companies. Thanks.
Kyle I bought the Maxnomic Office chair (the one with orange accents) I figured I would Buy once Cry once, I have had mine since March and Love it, it still looks and feels brand new. I got spoiled to very good chairs at work, we work 12 hour shifts and use Global Maximas which are 24 hour chairs (useful when sitting 12 hours in front of the Control screens) I am 6'2 at 300 lbs and the Maxnomic feels great.
+Macegoalie14 I think he was refering to support for his campaign. Like specific plans on what he would be doing to supposedly "make America great again."
wow this is awesome. I have the same old chair that you had. I bought mine used from a friend 12 years ago. I also sit at the computer doing photo and video editing and gaming for hours on end. So I came across your video. I have been researching for a new chair for some time now. Comparing the executive office chairs to the gaming chairs, trying to decide which would be better for me. Plus being on a budget is a very big decision. Looking for a decent chair around $250 max, but something that will be a good use for me being in my late 40s and a hard life of manual labor jobs. My current chair does a job on my back and neck. But thanks so much for your informative video. I will be thoroughly checking out all of your other tech videos. I did finally get to build my own computer last year after buying multiple store built models since the early 90s. thanks so much.
Can only fully agree with every point you made. Bought almost the same model recently and I'm very happy with it. It was packaged very well, building it was easier then any other chair I've assembled before and it's build like a tank. The seat is firm but that makes it better for long sitting sessions, it looks great, adjustability is great and so on. And indeed, the armrests almost feel like a bit of an afterthought. They are a bit to plasticy for me and it would have been nice to see some better material usage here. Then again, you can set them exactly how like and in the end they do the job well.
Sorry man. You lost me at the price tag. Nothing to do with you though. I'm just pretty resentful when a company asks me to pay as much for a chair as I've often paid for a month's rent on an apartment.
Chair looks cool, but for us big guys, I have gone with the Office Depot WorkPro 15000 Big & Tall High Back Chair. If you got a big butt, like me, and the weight to back it up, like me, this chair will not only support you but be comfortable as well. This thing is rated for 500lbs!!! I love these gaming chairs but they never fully support people in my size and weight category. This WorkPro has been the only one I've found to work, and last. I've had mine for over a year and it works as well as the day I bought it and it comes with a 10 year warranty. That's saying a lot considering how much ass it has to hold. At around $350.00 ($200.00 if you go on their mailing and get discounts and such at certain times of the year like I did) it's a great buy. If Maxnomic comes out with a compatible chair like this one I'm all over it, literally, I'm big enough to cover the damn thing up yall....
That "bent out of shape washer" is called a spring washer, it stops the nut from coming loose due to the pressure pushing against the nut. great video by the way!
I have had the MAXNOMIC LEADER BLACK Office Comfort model for over a year now. Now I'm not light and I'm in at 6ft tall. My feet reach the floor no issues. There are no squeaks anywhere, The padding is the same as day 1, And the cover material IS STILL FRESH looking. It is by far the best chair I have bought. I also live in my chair a lot! Heck my couch currently is a futon if that's any indication lol. But even with me no being light I've had dogs jump up at me, My niece jump at me, My lady jump at me, It just holds up very well. My last chair snapped at the arm joints one day when a dog jumped on me. But I had that for about 6 months and the seat was already flattened out. Glad I made this investment.
The seat is more of a firm foaming. theres a subtle give in the cushion. fits my behind nicely though. the armrest's are kinda the same, still yet has some cushion give I them. there not straight hard plastic. the armrest are somewhat wobbly but have shown no signs of breaking down. All in all I still love my chair.
This video made me laugh multiple times throughout it. While I am too poor to own one of these, it was still a good video. I love your humor. The line '...meets the needs of my work or jerk' made me laugh so hard.
You should reach out to a proper office chair manufacturer and compare an overpriced "racing chair" to a real ergonomic chair like a Herman Miller Embody, Steelcase Leap, Humanscale Freedom or Haworth Zody then see how good the Maxnomic is.
+Jman Trust me, a well built chair will last you years and provide good support as you get older. Cheap chairs won't last long or be comfortable long term. I've had the same chair for about 6 years at work and I know those things are about $1k. My $100 IKEA chair wasn't truly comfortable after about a year, though I kept sitting on it and dealing with the pain. :(
The Kruxed it is not overpriced gear... now razer sure that is overpriced, but if you are buying even a regular old office chair like executive ones they are much pricer than 500 dollars, it is all about the quality of material they use, i mean they have a metal frame, and plywood, and they use a different sorta foam, not just regular old stuffing, i mean you probably will never justify the buying of a 500 dollar chair, but until you try one yourself, i would refrain from talking smack about a product because you think it is a waste of money.
Booker Dewitt You sound like you are trying to convince yourself. I have tried many expensive office chairs after working 10 years on and off in an office. They are awful and over priced, I got my living room recliner for the same price, better materials, more comfort, more support, more flexibility other than height adjustment and it doesn't look I own a car chair. I would refrain from talking smack on the internet when you know not who you are talking to
Why is this so typical of the majority PC gamers? No problem laying down hundreds on incremental hardware upgrades for minor gains, but too tight to spend on even a decent chair that could save you a lot of problems now and especially later in life. IKEA have the very decent but reasonable Markus model for less than the price of a mid-range graphics card or even a top-end keyboard, and there are many other options. Your old chair was ergonomically awful *even before* you ran it into the ground. Why skimp out for so long on the area you spend so much of your time. Guessing you have a god-awful, old and unsupportive mattress too? P.S. I'm sure it's a good chair, but it's not like this chair was ever going to get a bad review considering your basis for comparison...
Never understood the "gaming office chair" market. These are the "Beats by Dre" version of office chairs. There's a reason why you don't see these type of chairs in environments where comfort and durability are needed, and it's not the "OMG G4M#R!!!1!" looks. When you see what's actually out there in professional office equipment, these companies must be laughing all the way to the bank, capitalizing on the market they are advertising to. Sorry but there's no innovation here. Just re branded and repackaged cheap plastic and fake leather for $500+.You don't need to spend a fortune, or at least get more for that much money. Hell, offices are closing or relocating all the time, you could get an awesome chair like an ergonomic HermanMiller for cheap (comparatively), if you take some time and search the web. Love you and the channel, but just had one of those rant:30 moments. Hope the upgrade holds up for you.
I did the same thing with the recline bar with my Maxnomic, lol. Except I did it without the back on, so no damage to the seat. I got the mid tier Dominator chair, and I love it so far
donald trump............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................(face palm followed by long sigh)
I was going to explain the washers, but this has already been covered. Haha To say I only found you a couple weeks before Christmas, I love the vids!!!
Have you checked out Herman Miller Aeron or Steelcase Leap. You can usually pick one up used for less then the Maxnomic, they will last much longer, and have much better and almost endless customization.
I did the same thing with the recline bar with my Maxnomic, lol. Except I did it without the back on, so no damage to the seat. I got the mid tier Dominator chair, and I love it so far. Oh, and the high end chairs are made for large and tall people. Kyle doesn't look like a very tall guy, lol
I've got the maxnomic commander SIII, I like the features as well, however I chose it over the classic because my room has a bit more modern look than the classic can suit well. This is also by far the best office chair I have ever owned, hopefully it stays that way for a long time :D
Great Review. Definitely looking into investing on one of these. I wouldn't mind my feet not reaching the floor, I usually just try to rest of my feet on something under my desk.
"washers were bent out of shape" lolz those are lock washers and supposed to be like that
+mike white yup, the under 360p club already pointed that out :p
Awesomesauce Network i hadn't made it to the comments yet lol
+Awesomesauce Network "under 360p club"... Nice name ;D

Kyle, according to their website, this model chair is for "tall and heavy people". Specifically 6'0"-6'7" and up to 285 lbs. No wonder your feet weren't touching the ground LOL
It all makes sense now. Thanks for the update :)
In case somebody was wondering; that's 186-200cm and 130kg, in civilised measurements...
***** If you dislike metric units so much, go throw a stone through the window of the ISO headquarters; don't blame me...
+Robert Faber 6 foot is actually just under 183. 186cm is almost 6foot 1.5 inch
Han Han I didn't convert the units, actually. I just took the official metric specs off the European Need for Seat site.
Thanks to those in the comments for teaching me what spring washers are! Still not sure why I couldn't get the bolts threaded when trying to use them. Good thing I only do reviews on *PC* hardware. x]
+Awesomesauce Network It's ok bro! We all had to learn this the hard way.
+Awesomesauce Network Sometimes you have to press on the bolt to load the washer and flatten it to get to the threads. There might have been a bit more springiness in the steel then they expected.

Pretty sure those washers are supposed to be like that??
+Samuel Tompkins (SamTompk) they are lol
+Samuel Tompkins (SamTompk) spring washers
Yep! They prevent the bolts from coming loose and causing the chair to wobble.

+TheRedBlockMC amazingly true
+TheRedBlockMC i mean his channel is called awesomesauce network so you kinda have to expect an obnoxious amount of memebase level dialogue
+Ayy lmao memes can be dank but not puns
Do I hate my current chair? Yes. Would I spend $500 on an office chair? No, probably not.
But if you sit down infront of your computer 60 hours a week. It's not a bad investment. Save your back buddy :)
The thing is, you can buy an ergonomic and durable chair in the range of $200 - infinite. But no need to pay 5 fuckin bucks if you don't want to. Mine was 270, awesome chair, very sturdy durable, fabric cuz I hate sweating during summer.
You mean absolutely no!
Fuzz FM Get the cougar gaming chair. Got mine for 200.
Never heard them called spring washers they are lock washers and that is what they do. Lol
So.... You've been using something this looks like a 4k$ PC setup with a 15$ chair?
+DinckelMan It's call priorities man!! ;-) I've had the same high back office chair for nearly 11 years that has black duck tape holding the arms together, but just spent $300 for 3 1080p 24in monitors, along with a new keyboard, mouse, ram, and Video card upgrade for my system lol! seriously though I'm watching sales, and just waiting for the right time to jump in on an office chair.

2:17 those are not "out of shape", they're supposed to be like that :)) They prevent bolts from unscrewing x)

I'm from the Netherlands. I also approve. There's little less classy than writing "class" and saying "clehs".

I never laugh more at PC and tech videos than at yours, and that's a good thing. I hope you keep up the style. It's awesome
those bent washers are locking washers that will keep your bolts from backing out over time. Also I love your videos, keep them coming.
Have had this chair for almost a year, and i love it nothing is broken all still give great back support!
"....serve my work or jerk needs." I had to rewind this video a dozen times to catch the last couple minutes because I couldn't stop myself from laughing to the point of tears each time. It's official, I am going to subscribe for entertainment value alone.

How does this chair absorbs farts, do they stink more, less or the same?
YOU AGAIN!!! WHATS UP DUDE?!

+Angel Luis Trinidad Its a valid concern, after 5 years of 'use' a patch of leather on my recliner has become manly funky with a hint of bean and beer residue
+Angel Luis Trinidad I'd also wonder about the noise absorption... does the leather project the noise or absorb it...? ;)
By far you have the best script in your videos. I'll never buy that chair but you make it worth watching the videos for a laugh.
wow, I have to say that was one of the best and funniest videos I've watched in a while, great job kyle keep up the good work bro!

"Less support than Donald Trump" isn't saying much when he's in the lead in every poll. "Martin O'Malley" would be more appropriate.

That "bent out of shape washer" is called a spring washer, it stops the nut from coming loose due to the pressure pushing against the nut. great video by the way!
Could have done without the Trump joke.
Otherwise a nice review.
Game, work, and jerk needs? That made me laugh, and so did seeing your legs dangle as you sat in the chair. Keep up the awesome videos!

The metaphors and puns were on point in this video.
As flat as a girl's jv volleyball team omfg funniest thing ever😂
One of your best videos yet brotha!

+Lucid CS you're just mad that illegals should be kicked out of America.
***** plus ones own comments lmao.
why so much intolerance? lol
Best chair review on the internet !
Great chair's, had mine for over a year and still perfect...
slosh11111420 can the lumbar be adjusted to be completely flat?
'Less support than Donald Trump'
oof :(
I LOVE THIS GUYS GAMING SETUP💙
"Less support than Donald Trump" LOL, RIP bleeding heart liberal
You never fail to make me laugh my ass out. Awesome!
Hope the upgrade holds up for you.
any other cheaper recommendations ?
I did the same thing with the recline bar with my Maxnomic, lol. Except I did it without the back on, so no damage to the seat. I got the mid tier Dominator chair, and I love it so far
donald trump............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................(face palm followed by long sigh)
turbonut20v ....Not me!⚡ 🎊🎇🎉🎆🎇✨🎊🎉🎇🎊🌠🌠🗽🌠🌠🌈
I love his constant witty puns. He manages to make them funny unlike my little brother.
You poor, mechanically-challenged, little soul. Nice review though.
I was going to explain the washers, but this has already been covered. Haha
To say I only found you a couple weeks before Christmas, I love the vids!!!
"less support than Donald Trump" rip
ironicly, he won XD
Damn, dude. That new camera you got records a nice video. Crystal clear!
Less supportive than trump he says
The comedy on this video is on point
"...less support than Donald Trump..." And you were doing so well, until the SJW part showed up. Thumbs down.
"the washers were bent out of shape" I'm weak hahaha glad you found out what spring washers are :) that's a really nice seat tho
"Like a hairy child on a swing" that made my day.
Have you checked out Herman Miller Aeron or Steelcase Leap. You can usually pick one up used for less then the Maxnomic, they will last much longer, and have much better and almost endless customization.
Liked purely for the cold hearted savagry and well timed puns. 10/10 would share again.
ALL THE INNUENDOS ARE AMAZING!!
AND THE PUNS
THE JOKES
AARRGGG
"Which made me look like a hairy child on a swing" 😂😂 this is why I love this channel 😂😂
