Wow - that is fantastic. I once made the adventure to Bob Marvin's house, arriving at night in a big snow storm. I spent a fair amount of time with him over the years but being in his place was really amazing. It was also wonderful to hear Frans...he had told me once about his place in Italy and how he wanted to spend more and more time there. It was wonderful to have a glimpse of that.
P.S Thanks for a fascinating film! I’ve never understood how some musicians come to despise the instrument that made them though. The Australian pianist and composer Percy Grainger was the same: over exposure I guess.
I need to move to Korea. They are streets ahead of the dismal UK where there is barely any music education at all in state schools. It’s a middle class luxury.
