This was the best tutorial I’ve ever heard on TH-cam. In any category. Straight forward, very informative, and helpful. You did an amazing job, keep it up.
Just a note I would add. Around 10:55 I personally would say it more like... -- Mouse scroll wheel. Translate camera forwards and backwards. (And then other controls the same.) Really it doesn't exactly zoom you, because the view scale hasn't changed. Rather it actually moves the camera forwards and backwards. (And then moving the mouse, while the middle-mouse-button is clicked-and-held, results in the camera moving left/right/up/down.) I would like to point out I think this is a good tutorial. Has been helpful for me so far. Thanks you sir appreciate it.
You should definitely do more Creation Kit tutorials! I've read/watched so many and they just don't seem to stick, apart from yours! You make it a lot simpler which is great :) I plan on making some settlement mods and player homes. How do you make new cells? Interior and exterior, and custom NPCs?
The first thing I did to test out the creation kit was to delete the dead dog and settler outside of Sanctuary on the bridge because it always bothered me that it would just respawn when I shoved them off the bridge!! Thanks for the help! Very useful to tutorial just to start
This is a great tutorial. You completely demystify the otherwise daunting CK. I will say, however, that since this was a "remake" I was disappointed that you didn't cover basic terraforming like you did in the original. Still well worth the watch.
Thanks for this, I've been playing Fallout 4 over and over and after realising Eleanor is the best seller of .50 calibre I was fed up not being able to fast travel directly to her. I now have a caravan that I can fast travel to (I admit I watched a different tutorial for fast travelling). But your tutorial is clear, precise and help me no end. Thank You.
Hmm. I'd say you gave us a "stool sample." I'm interested in creating some items for the settlement system and your tutorials are the first on Fallout 4 I've found. Very nice.
Hey there, hello again I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your videos it has been ten months since my last comment and wow have things changed I have just posted my first settlement mod and your video really helped me get it done thank you so much I hope you are still doing your mods and stuff I know how people move on you may not even see this message but if you do know that you helped me a lot and I am so grateful thank you.
Thanks for this tuto, I recently had bugs like enemies exploding when shot with a 10mm so I thought "I should have developed my own franchise since the 1990's so I wouldn't depend on Todd Howard's" But thanks to this now I can modifiy it!
thank. you. absolutely. so. MUCH. You have stripped me of my negative nanny head voice saying "you're too dumb to ever get into that in any form". Thanks, my dude.
I found it pretty interesting how West everet Estates or whatever it's called, basically looks like a more interesting Sanctuary Hills, using all of those build pieces as well. And since most sanctuary pieces have a pre war version as well, i'm gonna try and restore the place to it's former glory, just to see what it's like
for some reason a lot of the stuff in the ck ends up offscreen, no matter what i try to do it wont be on screen. is there something i need to change in the settings?
I have a question for anyone who might know this. How do I find the saved mod file I’ve been working on? When I start CK I can’t find my test file to keep working on it.
I downloaded f4ck fixes and that adds a lot of data to my mods. Before the download that changed my creation kit my mods were kbs in size... Afterwards, they are huge as much as 40mb. Any idea if the ck fixes bloats my mods?
I have try open it... but seem creation kit doesnt like my fallout4.esm something.. it throw a bilion of warnings, and I didnt even touch that file (mods are installed with MO separately) ... the only file I modded were the texture one.
Hello, sorry I´m late, but the Fallout fever came with the TV series. Mine says this: MASTERFILE:File Fallout4.esm is a higher version than this EXE can load. What can I do? Thanks
What I really need is to know how to add items into the different categories in the workshop because I want to add some static collections that I made like a bookshelf filled with books.
how do you make new locations i need to make 3 new locations an island of of farharbor a small military bunker in farharbor and a cellar in the commonwealth inside a miltary checkpoint 1 new enemy type 2 companions and an npc (which may be built with custom meshes from a mod)
Hey there great mod video but uh yeah the the launcher doesn't work anymore I just happened to have it but when I tried to use it it referred me to steam and then when I tried to use the steam version it wasn't downloading it would say install and then it in play and would do nothing I did eventually get it to work it took some finagling because I had to move Oh my games that were in the the game folder into the steam common folder once I did that it worked fine now I need help just making the actual mod and you don't really have a tutorial on that and you should like say I wanna add a clock don't fall out just the clock how do I do that what parts do I need and that would be great if I just had that piece of information then I can make all the mods I need so I can put in the parts that I want to design but then my own fallout name thank you very much I also sent you a message on Twitter
I have a question. If i build a settlement ingame, will i see that same settlement in the Creation Kit, so i can fine tune some stuff ?. I only ask because while you were placing down things in CK it was in the default Sanctuary, but in your game it doesnt match.
I made a custom weapon placed it in world & it wasn't there I placed a vanilla version beside my custom weapon none of them were where I placed them lol

Please do more of these. Teaching other people will only result in more and more mods for us all to enjoy.

You are probably the first person to do a tutorial that is good.
The first thing I did to test out the creation kit was to delete the dead dog and settler outside of Sanctuary on the bridge because it always bothered me that it would just respawn when I shoved them off the bridge!! Thanks for the help! Very useful to tutorial just to start
This is the only video that actually helped me get started modding!! THANK YOU SIR!!!!
This is a great tutorial. You completely demystify the otherwise daunting CK. I will say, however, that since this was a "remake" I was disappointed that you didn't cover basic terraforming like you did in the original. Still well worth the watch.
Full series please!!!
Final Render - your communication skills are amazing :-) Thank you.

Very helpful. I would like to know you make costume mod, like a gun. Or how to make things you can build in workshop mode.
Same
Probably Blender. Maybe RhinoCAD, Maya is just not affordable to do on a non commercial basis.

Great explanation. Thorough yet easy to understand. thank you

this is exactly the construction set that came with the morrowind disks , had so much fun with that . should have looked into this sooner .
thank. you. absolutely. so. MUCH.

how about a tutorial about navmesh? thats what id like to see
for some reason a lot of the stuff in the ck ends up offscreen, no matter what i try to do it wont be on screen. is there something i need to change in the settings?
I have a question for anyone who might know this.
How do I find the saved mod file I’ve been working on? When I start CK I can’t find my test file to keep working on it.
If you are using the Steam version, you can just go to the store page for Fallout 4 and scroll down and there is a download for the Creation Kit.
I downloaded f4ck fixes and that adds a lot of data to my mods. Before the download that changed my creation kit my mods were kbs in size... Afterwards, they are huge as much as 40mb. Any idea if the ck fixes bloats my mods?
Wonderful Tutorial. Thank you for the great start to the FO4 modding world for me!
I have try open it... but seem creation kit doesnt like my fallout4.esm something.. it throw a bilion of warnings, and I didnt even touch that file (mods are installed with MO separately) ... the only file I modded were the texture one.
in the video you recreated i made a comment about if you can make mods withotu having fallout 4
I use MO2 when I try to check a plugin/master file the only thing that shows up is the fallout4.esm even though I have mods installed
How can you use mods in creation kit for building?
Guess youre not planning on doing anymore tutorials? Just wanted to say this was a really easy video to follow. Thanks for the pointers
I know this is an old video (totattly helpful though) but was wondering how would you place Items from mods into the game
I have the zip file for my mod but where do I link it
This honestly reminds of the Starcraft 2 map editor, especially with that addons section.
Hello, sorry I´m late, but the Fallout fever came with the TV series. Mine says this: MASTERFILE:File Fallout4.esm is a higher version than this EXE can load. What can I do? Thanks
eny one knows how to test your mod out do you export the mod or something cuss theres meny options for it
Im trying to load the fallout master file with some mods and it keeps crashing. Which one do I set as active file?

the download part need to be updated it is now on steam only
What I really need is to know how to add items into the different categories in the workshop because I want to add some static collections that I made like a bookshelf filled with books.
the kit is on steam now
how do you make new locations i need to make 3 new locations an island of of farharbor a small military bunker in farharbor and a cellar in the commonwealth inside a miltary checkpoint 1 new enemy type 2 companions and an npc (which may be built with custom meshes from a mod)

Excellent tutorial, thank you!
So can i use the creation kit on a vanilla copy of fallout 4? Or does it have to be GOTY?
Yes, creation kit also works with the vanilla copy. :)
I subbed. I'm new to modding and needa learn how to make mods from scratch.
Anyone knows how to change minutemen outfit using armor mod on the creation kit
I have a question.
If i build a settlement ingame, will i see that same settlement in the Creation Kit, so i can fine tune some stuff ?.
I only ask because while you were placing down things in CK it was in the default Sanctuary, but in your game it doesnt match.
Awesome!
Goodbye real life ....Now I have a reason to sit down before my desk for a whole year ...
Big thumbs up!
I made a custom weapon placed it in world & it wasn't there I placed a vanilla version beside my custom weapon none of them were where I placed them lol
Great job sensei
Im not able to start Creation Engine.
I put 100s of death claws in sanctuary hills, I can't get past
How do I reload my creation kit save.
you cant download the bethesda launcher anymore. only place to get the CK is steam
you are a gem!
How can i mod a saved game ( i would like to modify my city with more items and better tools) Your video seems to be an early game Sanctuary.
You don't... You can mod the game but you don't mod save games. If you want "more items and better tools" try Cheat terminal.

Great tutorial, thank you. Bit dismayed the "go ahead and" virus has made its way over here from the States, though
Yo, what is wrong with youtube recently, too much spam. It's getting annoying. Don not believe the fake spam comments, ONLY GameCrook worked for me.
TH-camrs, thank me later, but you can get gems and coins from Gamecrook.
I cannot see the ini file
