Mike Zito is a real guitar hero down here in the Texas Golden Triangle (Nederland, TX). His blues are very personal, very soulful, and very, very real. He has used his music as therapy to live through a time of great loss of family. I thoroughly enjoyed this interview.
So so so so awesome to enjoy Lee's visit with hometown great guy Mike Zito !!! Thank you very much Lee! On you next visit to NAMM, please drop in here for a night so you can enjoy on of the nation's great music cities!
My 2 brothers and I ran sound for a blues festival in Winter Park, Colorado headlined by Joe Bonamassa in 2005. Mike Zito was also a featured artist. Mike was a terrific player and very nice guy that treated us really well. He had a 12-13 year old son with him who also had amazing chops for a guitarist so young.
Interestingly, the Captain mentioned that some people think he's from Australia. He does have a slight nasal quality that might lead people to think he's from Down Under.
@@andertons not your best sales pitch, but a good honest interview, which will build trust with your viewers. I personally really enjoyed this interview, and watched from start to finish. Thank you Lee and Mike,
@@andertons lol 👍 It was great. Could see you trying to pull it back round again a couple of times. Mike was wonderful - what a great guy. Don't worry though - we're still buying gear. And when we do we'll be coming to Lee - because he's a great lad, a great sense of humour and we've had wonderful entertainment from these videos over the years. Danish Pete's first appearance clinched the Mesa Boogie purchase for me.
I love your videos, and this one is no different. I have no idea who Mike is. You're intro for him was terribly weak. Firstly, put a mini bio in the comments, secondly give him a chance to introduce himself. Or you could just talk about coffee.
No way ...... putting Eric Clapton and John Mayer on the same level , I'm sorry but I totally disagree , Eric broke the rules in the studio and influenced so many White Blues guitar players by bringing the Black Blues players to the foreground in London. John is no doubt a great player but he hasn't really changed anything in the guitar industry
I’m not a big Mayer fan, but he’s definitely changed the music world. He’s a guitar hero just like EC and brings people into music and the music that influenced him. One may have influenced more than the other, but that’s hard to say?
John Mayer is driving the modern blues along with a few others but I'd have to put him at the top. HOWEVER! He doesn't exist without Clapton. JM has the chops but IMHO he doesn't have the songs. Clapton's catalogue has more pages than the bible. Your body is a WHAT? I don't think so. lol

Well everyone. It's confirmed. There's Danish Pete and American Pete. 😂
So Good ❤
Is it just me or does Mike look like Danish Pete's American cousin
No I thought it was him until I put my glasses on 😂
Brilliant.......I was thinking the exact thing
Because American is an ideology, not an ethnicity. 😊
Excuse me this mans name is not Mike. It's American Pete. Put some respek on his name 😂😂😂
definitely! even his playing reminds me of Pete
Mike is from my town. I actually have a Heritage H150 that was purchased from him.

The Blue Silver Red Lace Sensor pack is just the best! So much win! Fender should still be using them.

What a nice dude, will check out his work.
the EF., I thought that was danish Pete from the thumbnail... 🤣
K Line guitars! I interviewed Chris (K Line) on my show. Great guy! Figures Mr Zito uses them! St Louis ❤
3:03 Mike doing Pete, doing Mike!!!!
I got it guys, it"s the purple guitar cable :D great video
Eddie is the one who invented the dipping the pickup into hotwax and now every pickup brand does it to all of their pickups!
Lovely guy. Great player. Needs more recogniion.
I saw Mike at zoofest with Eric Gales as well. It was a great show
Super cool dude 😎
Great stuff! :)
There was before jimi and after Jimi the same with Eddie……he changed everything!
When does Barry Zito make his first appearance? 😀
As long as you are enjoying playing Guitar I don't think it really matters what Gear your using
I recently cut my pedalboard down from a dozen pedals to three. Less twiddle, more play.
I know Pete wished he had that moustache😂
I'm getting rid of all my gear and never buying anything ever again. Thanks Andertons 👍🤣
Only joking by the way - it was just such a lovely video. I'm still going to buy tons of gear that I don't understand how to use from Andertons
😂😂😂 not my finest sales pitch 😂

Dry has become a rare effect 😅
Does anyone know if he's related to Chuck Zito?
Gary Moore was the gateway drug in the 1980s for sure.
Mike is fibbing. He can play “like that”

Zito? Wasn't there a Zito who collected mannequins in his run-down apartment?
Zito in Andersons!?! LFG STL!
