while i like the review it should take a look at the whole package. especially with the shift from crafted character to a make your own character, my guess is that the story get a lot more generic (not that nioh 1 story was the best but i found it interesting)

Nioh deserves your money more than Persona 5R. It's the same game with additional content and a diffrent ending. The new character is only playable in the final chapter lol
I was already beyond hyped for this game, and this review did not lessen that feeling. Your videos are always amazing Mitchell. They’ve got so much charm and relevant info in them that, in a lot of ways, they don’t feel like your usual gaming-website-autoreview thing. The inventory management was something I’d hoped they would’ve changed, I loved the first game and still don’t understand how these games are so underrated with gamers. They get solid reviews, they’re fun as hell, and the devs put their hearts and souls into these games.

Important tips for newcomers, especially for those who already played Souls games before: -you can block after getting hit (very important) -you can dodge right after blocking a move -you should consider using some magic/ninjutsu even if you don't plan on making dedicated mage/ninja builds. There are many easy to get skills that remain useful through the entire game -don't be affraid of using consumables, the game is very generous at dropping them, there is no point in just hoarding them in the fear that they should better be kept for another level -don't let the loot management overwhelm you, it's really not as convoluted as it looks. You really don't have to check all eqiupment and min-max constantly, just check the few obviously high level ones and pick one that fit your playstyle, you can offer everything else when you need more amrita+elixir (look at the loot you pick up as valuable amrita+elixir shards instead of "most likely useless items"). You can also keep purple items and disessamble them at the blacksmith for materials (useful for re-rolling weak skills of your eqipment)
Noodle Knight I literally picked this game up today I’d say I’m fairly decent at games being 30 now I’ve been playing for 24 years covering pretty much all genres, so I thought ahh go on I’ll try it as I’ve not played a challenging game in years and Christ 🤣. THIS ... SO MUCH THIS!! Replaying NInja gaiden 2 (after I finished black) on gamepass and those games are sooo amazing that it's sad that those games are so overlooked. IF team Ninja would use the exploration and worldbuilding of Ninja gaiden:black, with the combat options of NInja gaiden 2 and combine that with their Nioh Experience, it would be all I could ask for!

I hope yokai shift got a small buff since the last chance beta, I never used it to kill any of the bosses because it lasted like 5 seconds and it was super weak. They should have just kept living weapon if that’s the route they were going with it

Man, i really liked the first nioh, and want to play this day one, but already preordered persona 5 royal and FF7R, and my hype for Resident evil 3 is so big ... i think i'll let this one for later, maybe i can catch it on sale
This is by far the most exciting experiences in a game i have had on the ps4, this is my first time playing a game in this genre and the only problem i really have with it are its dammmn animations! I was able to grapple a gaki on a mission which goes into a quick cut scene and i was still able to get hit and take damage from a enki where i had no control at all . It really frustrating !! How does it take me 5 seconds to ready a talisman when im fighting a guy who is channeling through magic buffs in seconds . Sometimes i try to fight smart and get one hit in at a time but its nearly impossible when i press square once and my guys decides to perform a combo where i have no control at all and it keeps me open for damage.
Noih is the hardest game I have ever played and loved every second of it. It was such a journey. I wish I could afford it. There is too many games this year like TLOU 2, Ghost of Tsushima, and maube a new console(PS5). That much I can afford.
Arnab Sen it would be better to hold off on buying the ps5 at launch, if you stick to ur current consoles that you own, you could wait out the price drops and the possible issues that they might have to patch up

Just got this game recently and I absolutely love it. It looks way better actually seeing it play on a ps4 pro, which honestly I was impressed with the visuals and effects. The game feels very polished and performs well, and the monster detail and animation is amazing
Fast loading times between death is always great for this type of game. I never finished the first Nioh because the game felt very recycled later on, and uninspired. Still not sure if this game will have the same issues.

Ghost of Tsushima is the only samurai game I'm playing this year. But this game looks pretty fun though.
