- Have you ever wondered how many countries in the world play cricket? This video showcases all the cricket playing nations.
ICC, the governing body of Cricket has divided all cricket playing nations into 5 regions: Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and East Asia Pacific. There are 3 types of membership:
1. Full Members: These are the countries where Cricket is an established sport and have been playing the game for a long time. These nations play in Tests, ODIs and T20s.
2. Associate Members: These are the countries where cricket is established but has not fully popular within the country.
3. Affiliate Members: These are the countries where cricket is nascent and still underdeveloped. A lot of promotion and awareness is required amongst the citizen to establish the game of cricket amongst them.
Recently ICC has given ODI and T20 playing status to all associate and affiliate members of ICC.
In this video we shall look at all the countries that are members of ICC. This video showcases some pictures of each country and also the year of their joining into ICC.
