Hi, the actor Kit Connor (Nick) was 18 y/o when they filmed season 2. He said he buffed up, because he was bullied for not looking like the comic book version. He was also bullied into coming out bisexual, because he was accused of queer-bating by so-called fans. He was photographed holding hands with a female actor in Paris, they filmed a movie together as co-stars. Great fans, aren't they?!
Oh phew! Because I was like, damn! He definitely buffed up! Can't believe he got bullied though... I mean I haven't seen the comics, but how they looked wasn't even on my mind in the first season? The internet is just so toxic and wild... like he's an actor... you don't have to identify with EVERY character you play 🫠

Nick's brother David and the way HS handles bi erasure is so important, it's definitely not spoken about enough in media. And there are still several other issues in this season yet to be delved into that are just as important that I can't wait to see your reaction to. HS covers so many things that aren't represented in media enough and I will forever love it for that reason alone ❤

Taos & Nicks moms are amazing and bash is such a good actor and nelly is in real a he and fun fact charlie dont like the mcu and joe is in the mcu he is playing in agatha coven of chaos the son from her 😊and good to see the queer book representation in a school libary, alice oseman heard in iowa are the heartstopper books in a school libary forbidden, thats sad and a step backward
David is such a rotten brother. Reading between the lines, I think David has a long standing jealousy and resentment of Nick, mostly because of Nick's close relationship with their mother. David seems to think that he has a similar relationship with their absent father, but he doesn't.
“He’s internalising some stuff” You’re one of the few reactors who recognise Charlie is not expressing his emotions which will come into play in future eps! Also good thoughts on biphobia, what I like is the show never makes Charlie not believing or getting jealous about Nick being bi even though thats an easy path to drama

Charlie also sacrifices himself in favour of protecting Nick and his friends. He has a low self esteem and doesn't believe he deserves to be treated well or be cared for, by himself or others. He doesn't focus on his grades because he knows Nick is very stressed about his exams and even though he's a year younger, he so much smarter he assists Nick in studying or 'revising' but doesn't get his own homework and assignments done as a result. Most people, including his parents, think it's just because he's boy crazy, but it cuts deeper than that, unfortunately. Charlie's a Ride or Die for those he cares for.
