I know Tao's haircut is a hot issue for people, but ever since I found out that the reason he kept it long and styled like that was like because of the school's code against students having longer hair. He was doing it as a stand with Elle, who likely got in trouble for trying to grow her hair out before she transferred. It just makes me emotional, everything about them makes me emotional. Omg, and the seeing a trans character not only get such a beautiful First Kiss scene in Paris, but also the fucking *foot pop* ??? iconic, will never stop crying over them

I think that’s just a fan theory. I’ve not seen anything yet from the books, Alice or any of the cast that confirms this yet.
That's entirely a headcanon made up by fans. It's not stated once in the show or the comic, where Tao has always had short hair.
They gave him the haircut to make him look less attractive, that’s been more or less confirmed by Oseman (Will Gao’s literally a model). The hair length Elle thing was never stated in the show and Tao doesn’t have long hair in the comics. That’s just something fans created out of thin air.
As an asexual I'm glad they were talking about it in this season. I feel like it should be more represented.

I’m so happy Heartstopper talks about the issues bi people face and that Zavid brought it up too, because as a bi man it’s so exhausting having to keep saying “I’m bi actually”. People laughed about how Nick kept saying it, but it is SO accurate! Even friends I have told that I’m bi (multiple times) still question it saying “you can just tell me if you’re gay” or “it’s just a phase every gay person goes thru”. BI PEOPLE EXIST AND WE ARE VALID!!!

I wish they had spent more time with Isaac having doubts after his kiss with James instead of conveniently meeting someone who just explains his own deal to him in the same episode. I’m sure it was validating for some viewers, but from a storytelling standpoint, It felt very rushed to me.

It feels like Oseman didn’t want Isaac to suffer too much so she freed him immediately by giving him an answer, when i feel like a lot of queer people go through a long and uncomfortable process to understand themselves. I would have rather he went through some hardship (like trying to conform and be in a relationship with James even though it doesn’t work) before getting his answer, because I think more people would have related to that.
But in the end, Heartstopper is very wholesome and comforting, so I guess it works for the kind of show it is.
@@TVChild3 I highly recommend Loveless to you in case you haven’t read it yet, it’s another book from Alice Oseman with an aroace storyline as the main focus. And trust me, it’s not that simple and convenient for that protagonists. I honestly think everyone should read this book!

Heartstopper (the web comic) really helped me when I was a teen and coming to terms with my bisexuality and Nick’s experience with not feeling valid. Then with Charlie’s ED, really hit when I was in the trenches with mine. This show is so important and I love it so much. as someone who has dealt (and is still dealing) with an eating disorder, it broke my heart to see Charlie suffering. I suffer from anorexia and binge eating. A lot of people think that ppl with anorexia just want to be skinny and lose weight. And others sometimes view binge eating as a fat person who can't control their appetite. That may be some cases but not all of them. There is so much that goes into these disorders. Similar to Charlie, I sometimes eat less as a form of control over my body, and when Im dealing with body image issues (which happens A LOT). I binge eat when I feel super stressed and anxious as a way to cope and a form of comfort. People need to look out for signs, cuz if no one notices when someone's eating habits change rapidly, it can quickly become a problem and it is so hard to break those habits

Also, if you’re still needing a recovery break, might I suggest “Red, White, & Royal Blue” as well as the show “Glamorous”? They’re gay, they’re not going to raise your blood pressure, but they’re not as family friendly as “Heartstopper” is & your brand of comedy would work really well with them.

Your channel is such a comfort for me tbh your reactions always make me laugh and smile and that's rare. But it always cheers me up a little watching your videos and while I love your usual horror content and sex jokes, I'm so glad you shared a little of your personal experience not only regarding the topic of eating disorders but also that thing you had with the asexual person. As an asexual myself I totally get it, you being scared and running it's so natural and I feel like I'd do the same for the opposite reasons, you know? instead of explaining I would run away. It's such an invisible orientation and that's why it's cool that shows like this are giving it some representation. But honestly don't feel bad because you weren't educated in the topic at the time, I'm sure that person understands too, and you can always change that if you find yourself in a situation like that again!

I really love the representation of the bisexual community in Heartstopper, especially that its shown through a bi man's experiences. As a bisexual man, as well as a trans man, having to constantly explain that no, I haven't "picked a side" by being with my male partner or constantly saying "I'm bi, actually." Like Nick has to, is an on going thing. I also get "if you wanted to be with a man, why didn't you just stay a girl?" all the time too. It's honestly so difficult to figure out that you're bisexual, and this show really did showcase that discovery very well. I just love this representation so much.
I hope this show teaches some people to be more open minded. You don't deserve the biphobia or the transphobia. Don't let it weigh too heavy on your heart. You know who you are, that's all that matters

The main defect in Ben's "apology" is that it was almost entirely excuses. He didn't say a _single_ _fucking_ _word_ about the emotional damage he inflicted on Charlie. I think I identified with Mr. Furuk the most. I didn't come out until my early 30s (I'm almost 35), so I never got to experience any of that stuff he and the other teacher were talking about. It's funny that that movie popped up because I was going to recommend it to you. I think you'll like it.

I suffered from an ED in high school (which technically never fully goes away, you just learn to shut the little voice down and not listen) and having read the comics, I was very scared of this season being too triggering for me to watch but I managed and it really made me feel proud of myself for being able to handle it cause I know I wouldn't have been able to at all even just a few years ago.
