    I have a 2020 model and the list of issues have been long, but not to the severity that you have experienced. Mostly with shoddy workmanship from Thor. The Camping World dealer fixed most all of my issues, but the process was very painful and to the extent that I will not spend another dime with Camping world in my area. I have name my rig, “The Dollar General”.

    Let the lawyer run wild. Seriously.
    Thor should have said, take to any shop that can do the repairs, and have them send us the bill. But they didn’t. Make sure to email the Thor Customer service manager at corporate headquarters, and save all correspondence, and vide all phone calls for the lawyer.

    hello I feel your pain. I had more things on mine . I fixed most on my own the more difficult ones I let the dealer fix. one thing i learned from other folks is just take it to a shop you trust. I did this with the first issue, thor send me a check.

    I just bought a 2022 Thor Hurricane last week from Camping World and I also have 14+ issues with mine as well. 1. Rear AC runs constantly and does not respond to control panel or app and I had to just shut off the breaker to shut it off. 2. Black tank plumbing leak in dump compartment, which filled the bottom of this compartment black water on our first camping trip! 3. Windshield gasket is popped out on the lower right side of windshield. 4. Inside and outside shower hose connections were loose and leaking, one connection was missing the rubber washer. 5. Under sink drain plumbing was leaking into cabinet. 6. Outside kitchen sink would not drain due to pump switch/pump didn't work. 7. Black tank Santi-Flush didn't work, which we believe is due to the inline check valve was installed backwards. 8. Outside shower H & C handles were installed in reverse. 9. inside trim over slide out buckled out due to being cut too long. 10. Front radio/climate control bezel on dash loose on one side. 11. Inside Inverter panel doesn't work (won't power up / no lights). 12. Screw used to secure the shower door to shower stall too long and has almost pushed out through the outer sidewall of our motorhome. 13. No valve stem extenders were installed on rear dually wheels, so I was unable to check the inner rear tires pressure. 14. bathroom ceiling fan makes a rattling noise when in use.

    I found your video while researching a steering or suspension problem on my 2018 Hurricane 34P. While making a long trip back from Denver to Florida I notice an increasing clicking sound in the steering or driver’s side suspension. There’s no leaks but the sound got louder the next 500 miles until we arrived home. Now I’m trying to find a mechanic. Also we experienced roof leaks like you have. Turns out our elastomeric roof coating is debonding and it’s bubbled up all along the roof edge. Water gets trapped under the roof coating and eventually finds a way into the coach

    We had many problems with our 2021 Thor WindSport 34R also. It was in the RV shop or the Ford shop much more than we had it the first year and a half. We only got to use our new RV for one short trip the whole camping season since there were problem after problem. We had trouble on that trip with the mandatory recall that have been done shortly before. The rear end seals that they had replaced, started leaking onto the brake pads while we were 300 miles away from home. That was on the Ford shop. We still haven’t got everything rectified in a year and a half. Some of the same problems keep coming up with the flooring and subfloor. Bolts keep coming loose and working their way up through the flooring etc.

    Thanks for posting this. We are looking to upgrade our existing RV to class A in the coming months. All the issues you pointed out are brother some consider this cost over 130k. I will now steer away from Thor's product. I think we'll pay more for a Tiffin.

      At this point I can only cosider Winnebago or Newmar. I know Newmar well and owned Winnebago and they are built so well. 65000 miles on the Winnebago with not one issue to take back to the dealer. Only thing that ever broke was the water pump which I replaced myself and it was easy to get to and cost me 40 bucks. I will never buy a Thor product.

      I'm curious about these vehicles and have read a number of articles that list Thor, Coachman, Forest River, Jayco, Winnebago, and Gulf Stream as being the most problem-prone, badly built motorhomes. Tiffin gets high ratings and, of course, the Prevost Marathons are the ones considered most desirable and free of issues. My take is that owning a large motorhome will impoverish you and make you crazy.

    Sorry to hear about your troubles, I hope by now they've been resolved. For me, I wish I would've saw this sooner. We purchased a new 2023 Thor Hurricane 34r and have experienced the same issues from water leaks, to slide outs rubbing holes in the floor, and windows needing to be replaced. For the most part our dealership has been able to make most of the repairs in a timely manner but has since gone out of business. Same here, there are no Ford dealerships equipped in our area to work on class A coaches. And the one I did find said they can't even get in until the end of December 2023. Thor or Ford RV help line has been any help and sometime even rude.
    Any advice you can give a fellow Thor 34r buyer beside sell it?

    New 2018 35M Windsport, 4 dozen issues, some serious. 4 years into the rig, finally some camping still trips without a significant failure (but hydraulics still have a slow leak and jacks drop when stored). Thankfully I am handy otherwise this rig would not have left the shop. Love the floor plan but feel sorry for people who take the rigs in for service.

    Just bought a 2023 ACE 29g....7 weeks ago...issues with cabin ac leaking inside cab...steering...entry door latch...missing wet bay parts...storage bay bad latch where batteries are ...been back and forth several times...100 mile rt to General RV..no camping yet so many items not even tested yet.
    GENERALRV did send to a Truck Center who did alignment and claim the AC was overcharged and now okay. Thor sent the wet bay parts..GRV attended to the entry door that would open up while driving and the storage bay latch.
    Have you resolved your issues? What was cause of the water leak by the door?

    It seems Thor is using the Tesla method of vehicle production.... eliminate the QC department and let the customer be the quality control inspector. The more defects the customer misses or find acceptable (hassle of getting things fixed) the more money Thor makes. Why fix things the customer might not notice?

    I’m just now watching the video on your 2021 Thor! With some of the things you have on your list I would have never took it off the lot or signed papers. Ultimately I would have “A” got an good rv inspector to look at it even tho it’s new and “B” put a lawsuit against camping world and Thor till they either refund you in the entirety or fix “everything” immediately. Damn shame you or anyone has to go through that shit for a rv or anything. This is supposed to be America. I’ve a 2021 gulfstream conquest 2030 class C I bought towards the end of last year and put 3600 miles on. I had some real minor stuff I took care of myself with the exception of the coach fresh water pump. Gulfstream paid. 170 bucks for the pump and half hour labor. We’ll see here this 2022 what craps on it.

    This is unacceptable for any manufacturer. Yes, there will be "bugs" with a new RV, but this is ridiculous. My wife and I are looking for an RV and this video has convinced me to buy a gently used, pre-pandemic RV (2019 or older). I would definitely go the with lawyer to force Thor and Ford to make this right.

    So sorry about your issues. Nobody at Camping World or Thor cares one little bit. Regrettably you fell into the biggest trap the RV industry has. You took delivery of the RV with defects. Rule #1 NEVER EVER sign or accept an RV with a single defect. Do not plan to camp, do not purchase a return flight, do not pass go. Pay for a professional RV Tech to do a pre-inspection, do a thorough inspection yourself, and plan to stay at the dealer a few days for this process. Do not let them pressure or rush you, do not sign acceptance with a single item on your list. Once you sign and accept you will NEVER get anything fixed. You become a PROBLEM to them. Live and learn. When you make a big recreational investment, do the research, read the Google Reviews, it will scare the living sh*t out of you when you see how prevalent this is. You are on your own and stuck with these issues unless you give up your RV to the dealer for a year, and then they will break more stuff and your warranty will be up, or you get a lawyer and be very patient and diligent. So sorry for your problems.

    • @johndelfino9105
      @johndelfino9105 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely correct, I have heard from many Certified RV inspectors that the entire industry (not just these makes and models) has Quality Control problems. They all recommend that a buyer should be very careful to what they sign and NEVER accept delivery until a thorough inspection has been done by a qualified inspector. If the dealership objects, than just walk away even if it means buying your plane ticket to do so.

    • @saladbreath607
      @saladbreath607 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rule number one: Don't buy new! If you want a newer one, buy a four or five year old model. Chances are most of the problems have been sorted by that time, and more importantly, you can pick one up for a third of what it cost new. There's a 2020 Thor Hurricane 34M with low miles for sale in Phoenix right now for $48k. The previous owner took a $115k hit, and went through all the warranty hassles. Personally, i'd buy a 15 year old quality coach for that money.

    Camping World of Harrisburg is not allowed to come to the RV show anymore in Hershey. Furthermore, we bought a brand new Thor motor coach 2022. When we picked it up, we found all these problems so the next day we took it back. Then they made a whole bunch of lies up. There’s so much problems with this motor coach it’s ridiculous, but Camping World of Harrisburg PA will not fix nothing. Thor Motor Coach would not fix anything either Thor Motor Coach has threatened me. How’s that for a lousy company.
