    Hey bro, I have 2 video requests please:
    1. What is the ex-pat scene like in city centre and outskirts? Do ex-pats integrate into regular Turkish society or do they live in a “bubble”?
    2. And how easy / difficult is it for non-Turkish speakers to build a life in Istanbul?
    For example running day to day errands, or new making friends.
    I’m strongly considering moving to Istanbul very soon as I work online...but I don’t speak Turkish.
    Thanks for all your videos!

      Yeah, gated rich communities that look nice in these videos. 500k dollar houses meanwhile minimum wage is around 300 dollars. I live in a regular neighborhood in one of the cities of this hellhole of a country, its nothing like where that dude lives in. General population is poor af.

      @@288gto7 Yes, monthly earning is 400 but the products and services are more than twice as cheap as US and thrice as cheap as western europe. So, you mean getting a 1000 dollar per month and living in a car house is what 1st world country means? 😅

    • @288gto7
      @288gto7 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@yuu9258 min wage is 330 dollars as of now not 400. On top of that the Gov taxes the shit out of everything. Even gaming consoles are twice the money in here at around 1100 dollars thanks to retarded taxes meanwhile its 500 in usa. Some cars get so huge taxes that they cost 4-5 times of what they cost in europe. When we buy a car we buy one for ourselves and 2-3 more for the government basically, thats how ridiculous those taxes are And thats not the only thing. Even a 30k euro standard car is pretty affordable by everybody in 1st world meanwhile here that same car is considered an extremely luxury item. Also meat here is expensive af , way more expensive than in us or europe. Gov sold all the factories and now we are extremely dependant on imports meanwhile our currency is literal trash. Even paper is extremely expensive because we have no factories left producing papers. This country used to have great farming etc now we even import seeds of vegetables etc. this country is beyond f*cked at this point. Services being cheap is a rare occurance. Meanwhile most of the other stuff is extremely expensive. In 1st world countries you can actually live like a normal human being. In here even doctor wages are at the poverty line, you have no idea. Poverty line in this country is around 8912TL which is around 1041 dollars as of now. Min wage is 1/3 the amount of the POVERTY LINE. Still cant see how poor this country is or do you want more examples???
