“If the only reason people are praising you is because they’re literally afraid to speak out against you, then you’ve already lost.” Wise words, Drinker.
I just never understand what these people - who openly rage at you to defend a capitalist company - think they're achieving by doing so. They seriously act like they're going to get a gold star or brownie points from Disney when there is quite literally only one thing Disney will ever be grateful for: your money.

Also, with the consistently poor quality of Disney Star Wars cranking out new works year after year, the ratio of fans to detractors will flip for sure
I haven't legitimately enjoyed any Star Wars media for being Star Wars since KOTOR and the prequels. It's unlike the woke era where the sequels felt like a step back, where Disney boxed themselves into a corner, instead of expanding the universe.

Wow. I'm 52, and have been a star wars fan essentially my entire life. No exaggeration, I have EVERY Star Wars comic printed since 1989 (when I . . first had a job and some extra money; note, I DON'T have the more valuable ones from the 70's and early 80's). . .but I stopped ALL my Star Wars comic subscriptions in September 2021. Some of the previous series, especially the "Old Republic" ones were . . . literally, legendary. Amazing. And helped build such a rich and detailed universe of endless compelling stories. And some time ago, single digit years, the stories stopped being compelling. And, like a boiled frog, I kept hanging in there hoping they'd get their "mojo" back. . . and at some point I stopped reading them. Then, last year (21'), I read the most recent bunch I'd accumulated, and. . . from a fresh perspective, my jaw dropped at how awful the material had become. The owners of the franchise have destroyed it.
Wait thoses old comics are valuable??
I used to enjoy Lost In Space every week. Let them enjoy their trash.
Star wars was sold to Disney in 2012, why did you wait til '21.
The EU was going downhill even befor 2012, when everyone and his dog started to write SW Novels, or better say replace their charaters with SW charachters and put the SW logo on the cover, wich gave us such "gems" like Zombies in Space or M*A*S*H in Space.
With M*A*S*H in Space it stopped to buy every SW Novel, i could even finish the second book of this series. I was a SW fan, and i am a M*A*S*H fan, but M*A*S*H in the SW universe just dosent work, i doesnt make any sense.
When SW was sold and Disney canceled the EU i stopped to buy anything SW related.
The Legacy Era is one my favourite storylines. I'll parade that forever over the tye dyed smorgasbord of dogshit the franchise is currently vomiting out - and that's not even including their hypocrisy and rainbow coloured virtue.

Disney has turned my love for Star Wars to apathy and now they are quickly turning that apathy into hate with their actions. Those tweets are just obnoxious and toxic.
Couldn´t agree more.
Apathy leads to hate. Hate leads to anger. Anger leads to poor Disney stock options.
And what exactly is the connection between a great franchise and a corporation that acquired it ten years ago?
Why is your hate directed towards Star Wars and not Disney?
@Hou actually I can ask this question unironically.
There is absolutely no reason for turning your back on things you like just because some random shit is happening in the social medias.
And there is absolutely no reason for turning your back on movies and stories you love, just because some corporation is making new movies right now.
The things you like and love are still the same. It's the new thing you don't like. Thus: it's not "Star Wars" somebody should dislike, it's the "Sequel Trilogy" or the "Solo" movie or whatever.
Next time, instead of being a dick and throwing insults around just...think.

guess disney took anakin's words to heart
“Only a Sith deals in absolutes
I will do what I must”
Disney: YOU WILL TRY….
Edit: Revenge Of The Sith is still better than anything from Disney
When I read the Thrawn novel I was really surprised disney hadn't thought about turning it into live action. Thrawn is the embodiment of being discriminated against by his peers, the empire hated aliens especially refusing aliens to work in the imperial military and yet Thrawn overcome all the obstacles in front of him and rose in the ranks while also giving comeuppance to those that did him wrong. It's a perfect story for todays society yet its been overlooked.
You see the problem with that idea is that Chiss aren't black and Thrawn is a man. Hence you can't directly apply it to real world politics.
@@Mediados that's what annoys me. its a perfect allegory for discrimination and racism in the star wars universe but because like you say he is a man and not black they shove it aside.
Thrawn is a competent, disciplined individual, so Disney will never make him an important character. They want whiny, bratty, emotional children (like Kylo and Rey) to lead their movies.
You'll notice this dynamic with the fraudlent self-righteous SJW type of companies. There will be better ideas and stories to indirectly get home the political message than the in-your-face obnoxiousness they spew... but they lack any humility whatsoever to see their own emotions and wants, so they never acquire the patience and respect for their own source material to find the best stories to adapt.
The main issue would probably be he wasn’t in any of the movies
He was a villain in rebels but got severely downgraded so they could actually win and his mention by ahsoka in the mandalorian probably means they want him for that show
Maybe then we could get a thrawn show but I fear they would only fuck up another fan favourite
It's one thing to be talked down to by a group you disagree with. It's another thing entirely to be talked down to by tangibly incompetent people who are the ultimate caricature of gullible that wouldn't recognize critical thought if it popped them in the mouth.
and things can only get that way with the concerted efforts of powerful people ensuring it stays on track.
the reason our species still exists is because underneath it all, humans are pretty simple creatures...we prize truth and beauty above all else, for they are the same thing.
and any people who exist in truth will live decent and beautiful lives.
only lies can make people this dumb. But dumbness doesn't make one soulless.
there's a spiritual aspect about this that does not even enter our minds but is nontheless important.
They have embraced the Anti-christ.
And this doesn't mean they are devil worshipping satanists - in some cases they are. It means they reject god, and therefor the afterlife, and therfore have abandoned accountability.
this is whats at the core of modern leftists. the belief that they are better than those who believe in God.
What's most important about this, affectively speaking, is that "God" does not even have to exist for this to be a destructive force upon a society built upon a sacred covenant, that if not between man and god, was between man and man:
that ALL people are equal and ALL answer to the same creator.
You don't have to believe that. But i promise you the people who believe that are far more conducive to your health than those who do not
@@merrylderrickson3147 "we prize truth and beauty above all else, for they are the same thing" Not anymore

It's been happening for decades now. Feel free to call them what you will, but that's what happened to Alex Jones and especially Gina Carano. I've seen in happen in the workplace, too. The ironic thing about this whole situation with Star Wars as well is that them taking petty, emotionally charged pot-shots at people who disagree with them and the smug satisfaction they likely get from it is exactly the sort of behaviour the Jedi in the Star Wars franchise warn others about.
Like Yoda said to Luke in Empire, the Dark Side is quicker, easier and more seductive compared to taking the harder, but ultimately more rewarding path of the Light, one that takes patience and emotional control to walk.
Indulging in stuff like this, where they effectively paint a target on some random person’s account, simply because they say something that they don’t like (even if it’s completely fair to say) and routinely lumping the entire fan base in with the worst of the worst outliers they can find is just wrong.

If someone had told me just eight years ago that there would come a time when I would no longer care about Star Wars, I'd have thought that to be impossible. But as I watch what the frnachise has become under Kennedy's leadership, I can no longer bring myself to care. There was a time after Force Awakens came out, when I felt things such as anger or disappointment, meaning there still was an emotional attachment to what was going on, albeit a negative one, and a small amount of hope that they would learn from past mistakes and turn things around, if only out of self-interest - aka desire for profit - but that has by now become replaced with pure apathy.
Lol, you describe my feelings about SW :-) I was the same - great fan becoming disappointed, now not caring at all :-) I thought I'm too old now, but maybe, there is another issue :-)

I used to love Star Wars, but Disney managed to get me to simply not care anymore. They just foster apathy, which is infinitely worse.
Episode 8 killed it. Mandalorian seasons 1 and 2 revived it, then Dis knee killed it again with the Gina Carano firing crap. They tried again with the Boba Fett episodes 4 and 5, then they shat the bed again in the next episode, so much that I haven't bothered watching the Obi Wan series. Unfortunately I bet the Mandalorian season 3 will end up being cucked all over with it leading to the Dis Knee trilogy.
I shall still cherish Episodes 1-VI, the Clone Wars, and Rebels. I do not much care for other things. I do not think this Obi-wan series, ardently though I await the next episode, has a rewatch value, either.

The way I see it, there are two types of political. Political as in a fictional galaxy far far away, and political as in modern day politics. The latter is what we have a problem with.
Fiction should be created to be an escape from reality, not seen as an opportunity to shove more of “the message” down our throats.
It's stupid when they say on tweets "it's 2022" no its not. It's a galaxy far far a way in a distant past.
Entertainment and entertainers have never been ANYTHING ELSE but a Trojan horse to those who run the industry. To influence the masses. It is called Social Engineering and it is very powerful.
To be fair, the original trilogy’s politics were based on the current events of that time - the Vietnam war, WWII, the rise of fascism
So it always has been about modern day politics, and will continue to be if they ever want to have meaningful stories.
@@PorterMarks yes but at the same time, it made a whole ass universe while at it. So yes it was about that but also an epic space battle.

The fact that managing a company's social media accounts is a legitimate paying job never fails to amuse me
One exclusively held by overgrown children it seems.
No matter how much they pay this person, it is to much, because it is really poorly done for quite some time.
But it also shows how far detached you can be. The "there are more of us" tweet shows it very well. Honestly, there may be more than the person behind the twitter account that have this opinion, but I would say they are not the majority of people. More and more wake up against them, the only reason besides being ignorant is the fact that twitter protected them for a long time, or they block everyone that has a different opinion, of course then you think your opinion is shared with most people, when in reality you are a minority.
There are some people who claimed Disney Star Wars will be bad because they only care about money when they bought it. After some time, I'd say it would be great if they actually cared about money, because they would do stuff that sells to most people. Instead they do stuff that doesn't, they lose potential money due to their company politics.
The message is strong in these, but it is not strong in making money.
Ironically, whoever runs it has little clue how companies intend to use social media: advertising. Alienating a wide fanbase is kind of the opposite of advertising.
Scariest part is that whoever is behind that account probably went to a very expensive school on US tax dollars and owes a six figure debt that will be one day be excused

I’ve been saying this for awhile now. It’s funny that they (Disney and most of Hollywood) resort to childish temper tantrums and name calling when someone disagrees with them. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it here as well, it’s like going into a restaurant you really like, but they have new management. The waitress or waiter takes your order and everything is going great, up until you get the food. You realize it’s not what you ordered and you don’t like it and don’t want to eat it. So you tell the waitress/waiter about it and they proceed to have a meltdown over it. Screaming at you about how dare you not accept what you’ve been served. Then the entire staff begins throwing things and screaming at you as well. Eventually they kick you out and tell you not to come back.
Now would you tolerate that? Would you go back? Hell no! And why would you? Same thing with this crap they’ve been pulling over the last few years, and fans just keep going back hoping things will change. Unfortunately they’re not going to, not until Hollywood gets their heads out of the woke ass that’d leading them around. I’m done with Star Wars and Disney in general, I don’t even care about what’s coming up, that includes Mandolorian season 3. Which I did want to see but after what’s been served, nah I’m good.
Amen!
You could also add that the restaurant would then call you “foodist” or something? Or they’d say it’s “changing” and you HAVE to like it! Or “what does it matter what the food looks like”. Sigh, I’m with you. Zero expectations any more.
Random but please watch The Empty Man if you want to see a modern but totally original film. I’ve never seen anything like it.

The downfall of human intelligence, at least in my eyes, is seeing a discussion as something to win or lose, versus an exchange of ideas.
Yes. These discussions are no longer about two parties mutually gaining knowledge, but fighting to prove one is objectively right over the other.
I don't think there's much of a downfall here. Most humans have always been simple minded herd animals, we just like to think of ourselves as better.
What you are describing there is a debate. Basically a form of competition where each side tries to win the discussion by presenting stronger arguments or better rhetoric than the opposing side. There is nothing wrong with debates per se. Engaging intelligent people with whom you disagree with in a debate can be a great way to test the validity of your own opinions and convictions. But of course, if you end up being proven wrong, you are going to have to acknowledge that you were wrong and change your position accordingly. Otherwise you can end up with cognitive dissonance, which can be very unpleasant. The way I see it, the problem with today's debate climate is social media and how it promotes name-calling, outrage/cancel culture and public shaming over healthy discussions. Outrage and controversy generates more clicks and reactions than healthy rational debates.

- Admiral Thrown used to be a great character now he is a Scooby-Doo villain.

- No Star Wars is NOT fine and it's not Star Wars fatigue. It's the trash content you produce.
- Wanting Star Wars to be good is NOT "toxic".
- Brushing aside critics by calling them every buzzword under the sun is pathetic.
- Even Jurassic Park had the common sense of putting the original character together in one shoot in the same movie.
I can go on but you get the just.

Its a noble attitude to have, personally I don't really want to hang around and nay-say anything until its proven itself, until then all you can do is hope for the best.
I gave them the opinion that they 'Could' do quite a lot with Star Wars on every metric- budget, hiring people, big stars and ability to really punch out some wide appeal.
The fact they managed to majorly fuck up ever single one of those metrics is hardly the fan's fault! heh, oh well what can you do eh?
Most acquisitions turn out to be "acquire, extend, extinguish"
It's like that scene in Back to the Future 2 where Doc is explaining the secondary path of time because of one single event. Discussion of time travel theory aside, this one event of Disney buying Lucasfilm has altered the course of history and it cannot be undone. Imagine if George changed his mind and decided to never sell it - and continued to make stories in HIS vision.
God...
Imagine a world where creative entertainment became a place where people could come together without the weight of pettiness, politics, race, or creed crushing them down. What a world that would be...
there a plenty of apoltical franchises star wars is not one of them and never has
“Primitive tribalism on a global scale.”
This is a great expression.
That should be inscribed on our tombstone after we collapse and the robots take over.
Star Wars: "If you don't like my politics, don't buy my stuff."
Us: "Ok."
"Ok" to what? The biggest entertainment corporation on the planet?
"Go woke go broke" is a fantasy.
@@aheroforfun6401 lol. Tell that to Netflix.
@@DrakonR Netflix's stock went down because they started clamping down on account sharing, it had nothing to with "going woke". And even after that debacle, they're still raking in tons of money.

@@DrakonR Living in denial? Virtually every major corporation supports gay stuff.
"Nobody cares if you keep buying groomer products." This is the EXACT problem with the conservative attitude. Y'all see horrible social degeneracy and you either think it'll just disappear on its own, or you just hope that it won't affect you personally.
My favorite moment of modern Star Wars is when Rey said “it’s Forcin’ time” and forced on Palpatine’s force ghost. The entire cinema went crazy. Definitely one of the most Sci-fi IPs ever.
Great moments like this, are brought to you by Disney’s new, & improved, Super Sentai Jedi Rangers, The Movie! Not to be confused with that outdated, sexist, racist, franchise Star Wars, & their toxic fandom.
The soyfacing from the audience must have been off the charts.
That sounds like like Rey forced herself on Palps which in case.... #metoo
I'm genuinely trying to remember if this happened in the movie. They were so forgettable and crap I can't tell if this is a joke or not.

😂😂😂 same here, mate..
“..did that actually happen 🤔”
Haha, can't belive the jurassic Park review got struck 😂😂
Dude thanks for posting this 💙 It’s really sad that this is all very accurate yet if you comment about how you agree with this video somebody out there would then claim you are opposing all the things advocated in the agenda driven narratives which is absolutely not true as I personally support many if not all the things(especially human rights stuff) that are ridiculously shoved in our faces and squeezed into the recent Star Wars narratives. The Empire analogy has never been so strong. But again thank you for posting this. It’s really well done obviously lovely humor but most of all embedded with truth.
That's how Liberals are, tho. If you don't agree with A, it means you also disagree with B-Z as well. That's how they rationalize their hatred of others, by assigning them beliefs and practices they don't have. For instance, the Liberal voted straight Democrat and doesn't want to murder children; ergo f you didn't vote straight Democrat ticket it means you want to murder children.
You should have been casted in Solo my dude.
Omg, Drinker praise from young Han Solo himself!
Jamie, didn’t expect to see you here dude. You’re an amazing actor and your Robin Williams is literally the best impersonation I have ever witnessed. I really hope the biopic gets off the ground, it would be such a waste to not have you in one, it really would ❤️ Completely agree with your comment here as well. A lot of people have the ‘with us or against us’ complex which makes it hard to have debates nowadays and to generally get along with one another. Peace to you mate! From Sussex, UK.
Wise words from a wise man.
Man, it's both heartbreaking and infuriating to see what Star Wars has become. Lucasfilm is an absolute disgrace to their namesake.
So much for maintaining the integrity of George's vision, respecting the lore, and treasuring the fans that made Star Wars the success it was.
❤️💯💯
Wait, did they actually promise they'd do all that? That's such a great example of hollow "corporate jargon"!
@@nelisezpasce over time, in doses in interviews and when they first acquired SW, yes.
Lucas got his revenge on fanboys by selling the franchise to Disney. "Think I r-ped your childhood? You ain't seen nothing yet."

Their first tweet though: “If anyone intends to make her feel in any way unwelcome…” Like they were just salivating at the thought of someone making a racist comment because they hired a black woman. “Oh please, someone say something naughty! We must have the moral high ground for a complete non issue! We need some sweet anti racist PR!” It just feels bait-y.
They where setting a trap. They trusted Moses would make a controversial claim. People would call her our for bullshitting and voila
Funny thing is nobody cares about her race, its her character & acting that sucks! But to Disney & perverts its all about racism!
What stands out to me, maybe the most, is that when SW/Disney start losing more and more fans and are desperate to reclaim notoriety and status by putting an end to their bs, the former fans will not have forgotten how they behaved and it will be near impossible to bring them back.
I can almost see the think-piece articles being written now: “How did Star Wars fail? Why can’t they bring the fans back?”
Honestly it will probably take just one truly great SW film to get back in good graces with the fanbase
“Lets call the entire fanbase racists. So that they get hyped up to try to prove us wrong. By loving everything we do and watching it, in the name of racial equality and THE MESSAGE!”
We're joking about it, but at this point I'm convinced the Lemmings running the show genuinely think that's a legitimate strategy

"There are more of us." Really? Well how much did Disney cough up for Lucas arts? 2 billion? 3 billion? Who do you think made it worth that much. The fans did. The "toxic" fanbase that comes with the franchise. They're like the bees that come with the flowers. They have stings, they can collectively make a lot of noise, and they are many. So if you want a flourishing garden the last thing you want to do is mess with them. Which is what we're seeing now with this franchise. Nothing with the Star Wars brand ever failed financially until Disney bought it.
So miss "There are more of us" (I'm assuming it's a woman. A fat one at that) I reject that statement, yet I'll still hold to the argument of quality over quantity. I'm the paying customer and you're the employee. And I'm well aware that anything tied to Disney that I spend money goes in your pocket. So I'm choosing not to contribute to your salary. And the more you shoot your mouth of on twitter the more you'll realise how many of us there really ismare.
It's 4 billion, my friend.
