Absolutely, Indeed Brother! I Love it!!! I went from the Shorty GP to This TBR Exhaust. It Improved Everything! More power, Throttle Response, Gas Mileage... Amazing. With the Shorty, It was basically straight piped, Which Crushed MPG’s And All Power and Responses.
@LifeOfBirch just brought the TBR low mount exhaust based on your opinions and videos for my Rebel 1100 and I just wana say thank you for your videos. Love you work mate, and the exhaust man I'm sold I LOVE IT, IT SOUNDS AMAZING! Totally worth the purchase all the way from New Zealand 🇳🇿 cannot wait for summer!
I ended up putting a glass packing kit around the DB killer made it very nice to ride without having the Hollow tube sound you get from running Two Brothers Exhaust.
I'm a little late to this party, but I'm just now considering the 1100. Great video. You answer all the questions I would have. The exhaust sounds great with or without the silencer. Without it you have a hot rod sound and with it it's more of a big V-twin sound. I think the sound profile does change a bit with the silencer: it's a little richer. I'd probably pack fiberglass on mine. Loud exhausts sound great and the police love them too. I'd rather be a little lower profile with the way I ride.
i'm gettin to the party late and yakin' about something years old to boot... i had a suzuki gsf1200s, fast bike but not crazy fast. anyway i bought a replacement muff same style as in this video but different manufacturer (i don't want to say who). so i slip it on there and tighten things up. it had the "silencer" in it straight out of the box. rode it, loved it. then the next weekend i took the silencer out. wow what an amazing sound, and it seemed to have more power! buddy has a MC shop and a dyno so i had to find out... stock muff: 97-ish HP aftermarket w/silencer: 102HP aftermarket wo/silencer: 98HP so... the sound without the silencer was amazing, but i actually had MoAR POwEr with it in! and i didn't upset anyone in my neighborhood daily riding to work and whatever.
Oh man. Finally got this exhaust installed with baffle last week. Was still too loud for my sensitive ears but after wrapping the silencer with one layer of fiberglass exhaust pack, the sound level is perfect while maintaining the Two Brothers grumble and pops! If anyone finds this exhaust too loud even with baffle, just spend the $15 and wrap the baffle. Super easy to do!
Decibels (dB) are logarithmic usually on a scale of "tens". No silencer = with throttle at 112dB versus an idle of around 90dB, throttle-no-load volume is approximately 120x time louder than idle (every 10dB is 10x louder than the previous 10 marker; i.e. 20dB is 10x louder than 10dB, and 30dB is 100x (10x10) louder than 10dB, 40dB is 1000x (10x10x10) louder than 10dB, so on, so forth)..

Sound was awesome without silencer and frankly I never once contemplated actually installing the silencer on any slip on I.ve installed. First Two Bros. was on my current VStrom 1000xt and from now on it'll always be Two Bros. for me on any bike provided they make one for the application. Had a few Yoshi and Two Bros. is the only one where performance was noticeably improved as you noticed. Seriously thinking about a Rebel 1100 soon. Ride safe!
Great vid, fantastic exhaust! The cheapy you had on first probably caused an over-lean mixture which would affect the running. Even without the baffle (it's what we call them in the UK) you'll have significantly more back pressure and the motor will run much happier - might explain why you felt a little bit more power. Either way, your bike will love you for it. Keep up the great work with the vids - I'm subscribed! P.S. I'm curious to know, did you keep the baffle in - or take it out again?
Two brothers now has the lower exhaust. Since I am looking at getting the touring 1100 with a manual transmission I am sure it should fit beneath the hard side saddle bags.
Another great review, thank you. I definitely like it without the silencer, just sounds to stock to me. Really love the two brothers exhaust, looks amazing. Unfortunately I have nothing but runarounds with their customer service. Your bike is coming together looks great!

@@LifeOfBurch Now the waiting game comes into play....dem things are high dollar right now and no dealer is gonna lower prices for a while. It's ok, when the stock begins to build up will take another look
Glad you finally got the TBR. It's sounds great either way, but I kinda lean toward the DB killer in. I use earplugs all the time it helps with wind noise and I don't miss anything else I should be hearing. I'm sure my military training has an effect on how I feel about earplugs.
It sounds great, even though i cant get the full effect through video. The silencer is a good idea, as 85 decibels will damage your hearing after about eight hours, and the higher the decibel the faster it happens. I put the quiet baffles in my vance and hines to take it from a fluctuating 86-90 decibels at idle, down to a steady 80 decibels for this reason.
I almost want to trade in my 2020 Harley street bob for this bike. Just so I can put this muffler on. Absolutely sounds awesome. The silencer also sounds awesome. Good deal want it loud or through silencer in for a quiet afternoon ride to escape.
Hey chief! I love your Chanel. Would it be possible to do a decibel read at 50cm away from the exhaust at idle? These towns are cracking down on "noise pollution" and especially the harley guys are getting smashed with fines. Maybe town bylaws limit it at 92db at 50cm from the exhaust.
Idk about you, but I have a Vulcan S (650 P twin) and running the comp s exhaust with a silencer, I've noticed the bike handles low end revs with a lot more confidence. It just seems like it has more low end torque.
Phone mics are notorious for being unable to handle high Db with accuracy, though they do still provide side-by-side or before/after comparisons on a given scale. So how much quieter the silencer is vs the straight pipe = fairly accurate. The actual numbers vs lab equip = a coin toss for how far off it actually might be. If you ever get a dedicated decibel meter, or borrow one, I'd be interested to see volume measured at 50ft behind the bike. Like the cops sometimes do when they're hunting for add-on tickets.
Damaged in shipping again! Not the full system, just a slip-on, so need to mess with the fuelling. It looks good, sounds good [better with the decibel killer in]. Two Brothers always do great-looking/sounding systems. Well explained.
Hey Burch, how much decel pop did you get with aftermarket muffler? some people say it is bad for the bike and others say its fine. I have the 500 and Im getting quite alot of pop on decel.
Silencer sounds better, yes a little more quiet but that's a good thing I think. I have the same bike, I may get that exhaust. Great video. I just received my rear stand from Pit Bull, perfect fit and it's soooo well made.
They sell an identical slip-on at Two Brothers that mounts differently - angled similar to the stock, allowing room for saddlebags and/or passenger foot pegs with no problem. Genuinely good engineering and makes you safer on the highway with sound - being heard is being seen. $500 and may save a rider's life.
Only downside is near residential areas with no baffler/silencer, engine braking reduced and not going above 25 mph was needed to not annoy / anger neighbors. Learned what **NOT** to do from Harley riders.
Hi LifeofBurch , nice review on the TBR exhaust great sound! You covered a lot of the questions I had going. I was considering going for the Low mounted Tbr do you think or know if it would have enough clearance with Shad 23 side cases? Thanks
True that, and honestly nobody would even see the little mark unless I pointed it out anyway. I buy my bikes to ride them, not to make them show bikes, so it’s not a big deal...at least that’s what I convince myself of 😂
Yo! Hoping to get an answer here. I removed my stock exhaust on my 2022 rebel 1100 DCT. I have a TBR SLIP on the way. I’m curious if the graphite gasket needs to be removed for it to fit. AND IF SO, What’s the best way to do that without hurting the bike!
not familiar anymore with Hondas, first 3 bikes I had were Hondas, in fact in 1985, I won the Rebel 250 in a raffle drawing, my question is putting aftermarket exhaust on that bike, do you have to get a tuner for it? On Harleys for the most part you do. Pretty cool bike with TBR

I love how it sounds... but I need to wait for something like that which is down and doesn't block me adding some nice hard lockable saddle bags, which I plan on doing asap. If they didn't have the upswept design, I would have thrown cash at them already.
With the silencer is perfect!
O my gosh! Now I’m not sure what to get, the nc750x or the rebel 1100 w/two brothers exhaust. Sometimes I hate being a libra. That does sound good with the silencer in. Ride safe little brother
Been waiting for this bad boy. It's called a baffle/db killer. Respect from the UK bro 🤟🤟🤟
Ayyy first comment! 🏆 🤘🏻
I love it, keep the silencer in. It sounds amazing
Man, that sounds awesome! But yeah it's definitely louder, I'd keep the silencer on. 😎
Your also creating some back pressure with silencer which makes more power low and mid. Won't run as lean.
The Backpressure Myth!!!
The ECU adjusts the air fuel ratio so it wont run lean unless you do something major.
Great vids, loving them all the way from nz. The Rebel is not due to land here until July. I was tossing up between the CB1000R and the Rebel 1100. You have convinced me the Rebel is the way. Do they have heated grips factory?
Keep up the good work!
Hi, your face when you started switched the ignition on and revved it! Said more than a thousand words😂 You really convinced me in that video, absolutely love the sound. and wanted to order. However, I just read on the Two Brothers own page, that their exhaust systems are not approved, only for racing purposes and therefore not legal on public roads. Do you have other information?
Liking the channel Burch. You do well. I have been thinking about a bike for a long time and I'm just about convinced an 1100 is MY ticket. Manuel of course, (old school...LOL) Tossed in a like and subbed up, and of course thanks man.
Ayy thanks for liking and subscribing! That means the world to me! I’m obviously biased, but I think the manual 1100 is the way to go for sure! Such a fun, capable bike. You’ll love it!
Man ive just found out about the new style rebel and man that is great looking bike now that its 1100 that is a bike on my want list
I went with the GP Shorty last time after I saw that last video on it. Love it.
Got mine last week. love it. Like to get the silencer too. Thanks for sharing!
My problem is I use my bike to commute, and it bugs me the exhausts are all upswept. Why can't they just do it as a straight pipe?
Check out the falcon double groove im pretty sure its a straight for the Rebel 500 not sure about the 1100
I have the Two Brothers Exhaust but no silencer. Can you please direct me where to get the silencer.
Perfect!!!
I was about to ask if it gave a bit more power...sounds great
It sounds great, even though i cant get the full effect through video.
I have a TBR exhaust on my Rebel 500 and love it!
Great video, love the rumble. 👍
Good review man. I prefer the DB killer in.
Thanks man! I ended up deciding to rock it without the silencer, but I still can’t get over how good it sounded with it in!
Great video, again. Thank you and greetings from germany
Nice bike! Ride safe.
The "Two Brothers Exhaust"... is a huge cop magnet on a Kawasaki 650 Vulcan S.
Idk about you, but I have a Vulcan S (650 P twin) and running the comp s exhaust with a silencer, I've noticed the bike handles low end revs with a lot more confidence. It just seems like it has more low end torque.
Sounds great.. also I thought I wasn't a fan of the upswept look.. but that looks so cool.. I was wrong I was horribly wrong
Glad I could make you a believer! Haha
I'm seriously thinking of the 1100 as my return to two wheels, so finding your channel has been very informative for me. Keep doin' you man.
Definitely with the silencer.👍
I was so surprised at how good it sounds with the silencer!
Hey man, did you get the bike tuned for the exhaust? And of not, do you feel like it could benefit from a tune?
I have a TBR S Comp on my sportster and it's loud as hell lol. Kind of want a more quiet pipe, but I always wear eye plugs which help
Have you tried the silencer? I was honestly shocked at how much I liked it with it in!
@@LifeOfBurch my exhaust model doesn't take one
Lol eye plugs
Best exhaust.
Two Brothers.
Pick one.
I’d definitely recommend getting this exhaust! It sounds even better in person! I’ll have to check out the Pit Bull stand. I still don’t have one.
Could you do a video on how to clean the chain and what products you use
New pipes can definitely change the throttle response by alot. I noticed that as well on my triumph.
Heyo!!!! Good video yo!!! Hope all is well.... See ya on your next video
Hi LifeofBurch , nice review on the TBR exhaust great sound! You covered a lot of the questions I had going. I was considering going for the Low mounted Tbr do you think or know if it would have enough clearance with Shad 23 side cases? Thanks
Great review! When you must make due with the tools you have in a parking lot things happen. Black is not too hard to touch up.
True that, and honestly nobody would even see the little mark unless I pointed it out anyway. I buy my bikes to ride them, not to make them show bikes, so it’s not a big deal...at least that’s what I convince myself of 😂
It so much nice sound with the silencer!
Yo! Hoping to get an answer here.
I removed my stock exhaust on my 2022 rebel 1100 DCT. I have a TBR SLIP on the way. I’m curious if the graphite gasket needs to be removed for it to fit. AND IF SO, What’s the best way to do that without hurting the bike!
since you have both the rebel 500 and the cl500, what would you recommend for a tall 5'11 fat guy, 290lbs first time rider?
not familiar anymore with Hondas, first 3 bikes I had were Hondas, in fact in 1985, I won the Rebel 250 in a raffle drawing, my question is putting aftermarket exhaust on that bike, do you have to get a tuner for it? On Harleys for the most part you do.
Pretty cool bike with TBR
Added to my wishlist
Solid choice my guy!
I'd go w/o the silencer. Good vid.
I was waiting for this my friend 😉 very nice sound. Maybe the rebel 1100 is my next bike next to my vfr800 😀
That sounds perfect! As soon as I sold my VFR800 I started missing it 😔 I’d love to have another in the future!
@@LifeOfBurch vfr's are quite cheap so you could have another one any time. Don't worry about people didn't like the contents with the vfr you just should have ride it and don't give a toss what others saying. I was thinking to get a cruiseer bike because the vfr makes me go silly speed sometimes 🙄 you know when the vtec kicks in 😂 The rebel it's a more relaxed laid back bike don't encourages you to ride like a twat 🙈 just cruising.
It's so hard to have only 1 bike because every bike is different, so thats why I planning to keep my vfr as well.
Keep up the good work mate and all the best 👍🏼
sounds great with the silencer imo
