- The whole story starts here as Gordon Shumway, a Melmacian who escaped his planet before it was destroyed, crash lands into the garage of the Tanner family. The Tanners call him "ALF" because he is an Alien Life Form and they decide to keep his presence a secret so that the U.S. Government will not take away the space being and subject him to experiments. From the beginning, there is no sanity for the Tanner family.

シャウトファクトリーのチャンネルで24/7の配信が各国版で始まってから自分は所さんや小松さんの日本語吹替版と原語版を交互に見るようになりました。比較してみると吹替版と英語版だとちょっとした違いがあったりしておもしろいです。
アルフはかわいいしドラマの内容がおもしろいから何回観ても飽きませんね。

ah yes.. nostalgia i never had.. luckily i found this out because of my dad! and i love this show..
I remember this so well. I miss this show a lot! I grew up watching this with my siblings. Getting so nostalgic.🥹
It is nice to have these here but these aren't the "full" episodes. These were edited heavily after 2000 for some reason (broadcast reruns?), as they miss small scenes, jokes and moments. For example in this episode the opening is missing the initial action, the scene in the bed is missing a few seconds and an Alf reaction, the scene in the garage with Willie trying to fix the ship is missing about 20 seconds at the start, and so on.

This was the 1980s. A time where the threat of a cold war could potentially become an issue. We needed the laughs. While most ppl were intrigued with Dallas, and Dynasty, others wanted and needed a break from all of the things happening at this time.

this is not a full episode, you are missing first 3min where he enters garage with his son and says he will call his friend nebojsha from yugoslavia (basicly first sentence in show). entire family shortly enters garage one by one and then itg starts. why did you cut it?
Maybe he cut it off because he learned that people have cut up yugoslavia
Unfortunately the episodes available on TH-cam are the ones broadcast -edited after the 2000s which take away a lot of gags and smaller moments.

Anybody know why the voice of Alf is sightly different from the next episodes? Still seems same voice but different modulation? or is just me?
I think the guy who did the voice needed time to get settled into the character and work out a sound that would resonate best with the audience?
