Carl Jung is a philosopher but not an awakened one.

So many modern meditation methods are about "getting something" or "having some mythical experience"... this is completely beside the point...

You get what you think about. Wanted or unwanted - you get what you think about.
You create your thoughts, your thoughts create your intentions and your intentions create your reality.

@@thebreadtable4880 And yet we are the universe, and yet you view it as some higher source that is seperate. Your belief in that statement creates such a reality. Accept that you are one with the source than you will realize that your thoughts are the only reality there is, and thus, is truly the universe.

@@justsomejoyousj I don’t view it as a “higher source,” Timespace is all in itself, it’s all one thing and that’s all it can ever be, and knowing that doesn’t make me special or give me superpowers lmao
Its everything, but it’s not in control, it simply is. You know? Me moving my arm is me using my mind to control a part of the universe. That’s about as far as I believe in your thoughts influencing reality. THAT, reality, is magic to me. I can imagine parts of reality, different concepts, but I put a fine line between real concepts and impossible, abstract, imaginary concepts.
For example, I often imagine myself to be a character in an anime I watch, and I imagine entire scenarios, fights, etc. the whole time I’m aware I’m playing with myself, it’s all imaginary, but to get into it I pretend that it’s not. With religion, that line is often abused and forgotten. People start projecting their fantasy onto reality, claiming the fantasy is real, because they can’t accept the hardships of reality.
It Happened to a friend of my moms. She says she’s using her thoughts to magically “manifest” money, in actuality, in reality, she begs strangers for money and collects $500/week in child support. She told me she doesn’t “believe” in science. She also doesn’t believe in parenting bc “everyone is the universe, the kids too, they’re divine and can take care of themselves.” She’s also currently running from CPS and branding it to her followers and children as a cross country road trip. She’s ruined these boys lives with her imaginary beliefs, beliefs that she’s constantly trying to convince everyone else are the universal reality. And she even criticizes Christians all the time for doing exactly what she does. To her, the priests can’t talk to God bc they follow a false religion, but she knows the REAL religion, so she can talk to “the universal masculine and feminine, in the form of Jesus” and whoever the fuck, you know, some bullshit she read in a fictional book and took as fact bc she had such little control over her own mind. I sincerely hope you are not as far gone as she is into this unhealthy belief system.
(Sorry for how long this is, this lady just visited me a few days ago, so a lot of this has been on my mind, especially because of the kids, so I thought I’d share).

@@thebreadtable4880 technically the things they said are true but there are people who use spirituality as a coping mechanism instead of actually taking action and doing something good for the world, ive been there too and it can be quite a trap that'll stop you from growing as a person.

Most classic commentary I ever heard on Buddhism. One of the great masters of this century is our Maharishi Allan Watts. His synthesis of all religions shows what a brilliant COSMIC INSIGHT HE HAD. RARE PHENOMENON THAT WALKED ON THIS EARTH. HE LIVED VERY ORDINARILY. THAT IS BEAUTY OF THIS MASTER. WE IN INDIA CALL SUCH ONE AS AVADOOTA WHO LIVES ORDINARILY IN THE MIDST OF EVERYONE BUT AN AWAKENED ONE. HE NEVER LIVES LIKE A GURU , HAVING DISCIPLES.

Fulfilment of desire leads to greed, if the desire is not fulfilled it leads to anger thus causing suffering in both the cases

You get a glimpse of liberation, the moment you actually realise you can’t, not have any desire at all as long as you breathe. It’s the exact moment you’re totally honest and that’s liberating, no matter your life situation.
Suffering exists only to know what joy is. One can dwell on it endlessly, one can transcend it completely.
