      Thank you so much. Two years ago I lost 8 pounds because of your exercises and nutrition lessons. I was involved in an accident this year and gained weight post-surgery and am losing that weight again thanks to your lessons. May I ask do you have a Patreon account where we can financially contribute to your great work and as a way to say thank you for your wonderful work?

    In 8 months, I personally lost 30 kg of weight without losing any muscle and strength. Losing fat is incredibly easy if you know what your doing. When I lose fat, my diet is high protein, high fat and very low carb. This worked great for me. I do strength and lactic acid training, and I also do cardio 2x a week (1x HIIT and 1x steady state). If there is one advice I can give to anyone struggling to lose fat, then it is to AVOID CARBS! This keeps insulin low and improves insulin sensitivity. Eat high protein and healthy fats, especially MCTs. It is also important to include a high-carb day 1x a week to keep your energy and metabolism high and replenish depleted glycogen stores during a low carb diet. This is in my opinion the best and fastest way to lose fat without losing any muscle and strength.

      Thank you for the tip.😍
      How much of carb to be consumed daily is low? 50 gr? 100 gr?

    • @StephonFitness
      @StephonFitness ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@mathK-7 Hey Dahlia, thank you for your comment. On days that I train I eat 0 grams of carbs (except from vegetables), and on rest days I eat 300-350 grams of carbs.
      My rest days are also my carb days. I train 5 days in a row, followed by 1 carb / rest day. But if it is too difficult for you to eat 0 grams of carbs, then 50 grams or less is “low carb” 🙂

    I am so refreshed with motivation. I am and I'm married to an "all or nothing" person. This makes me anxious to "start" another diet/exercise routine because of all the "things" I have to give up all at once to be a success at it. And many times I stress over a weekend away because of how we eat while on road trips. It's because I lose control over everything that's necessary to maintain my program. I don't even like when the kids want someone to sleep over because it "breaks" my control over our eating because we make brownies or big breakfasts for company's sake. Cory, I have been a fan of your approach for a long time. I always like when you have medical journal articles to back up your info. I like that you use your image and footage of your familair gym while talking. Some videos using "stock photos" are just so aggravating. Just wanted you to know I noticed everyone's behind the scene's hard work, and know, please, that I love the content and intention behind every video. Thank you.

    The majority of my surplus fat sits just behind my hip on the back, the remainder hides my six pack ... I refer to it all as the last 15 pounds. My sliding scale invloves fasting off -set by high grade protein. How ever it does not seem to burn off with my routine. Drinking MORE water seems to be a suggested option. I am 63 and male. I have lost nearly 60 pounds since Feb of 21.

    • @redefiningstrengthOC
      @redefiningstrengthOC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Congrats on your weight loss! The closer we get to our goal, the harder it can be to get rid of that last little bit. Not only are certain areas more stubborn because of the type of fat cell and lack of blood flow, BUT often we've had this fat on for longer. It doesn't want to budge. If you've been in a deficit for longer, consider a diet break. Change up your macros. Change up your workouts. And as hard as it is...STAY CONSISTENT! Results can be building even when it doesn't feel like anything is happening. This may help as well - th-cam.com/video/AriKI8dn4c0/w-d-xo.html

    I told my son I'm not making any holiday treats this year. No Rice Krispy Treats, fudge, cakes, cookies, etc. If it's not in the house I won't eat it. I am not sabotaging all the work I've done since May for a few holiday foods because EVERYONE ELSE wants to eat that junk.

    • @gwenshin

      Or you can make holiday treats like deviled eggs, pate' and a vegetable tray. Charoset is an awesome apple/nut salad that's generally served at Passover, but also has a Christmas flavor to it because of the cinnamon kick to it. Just a few ideas for you to still have fun with holiday treats and keep with the program. Hope this helps.

    This is so weird how I just feel like your talking to me as I try to get back to how I was in college ! Able to workout 6 times a day . Eat whatever I wanted but still see my muscle and tonage . This was a reality check I needed that my body is use to how I did things and it’s time for actual change. I’m on birth control and I gained like 30 pounds. I do like to be this weight because I finally have boobs lmaoo BUT I know at 5’3 in a half it’s not healthy to be 180 . Even tho I’m well proportioned I feel extremely tired because I workout less and don’t eat fulfilling foods with alot of protein & nutrients . I use to be able to get away with it but at 24 my body is craving more without knowing it I feel like . My head & body need to get on one accord and I believe you can help me ❤

    These videos are not for those starting at zero. Seriously, Macro? Lol I have no idea what you’re taking about. I honestly don’t know what to eat. I absolutely loath food and cooking is a nightmare! I hate it more then being fat so it’s crackers or granola bar for breakfast, no lunch and dinner is whatever’s leftover from the pathetic dinner I made or whatever I can stomach, like a tortilla. My whole body hurts so ya no working out possible.

      I hope you start with the first tip I gave and simply write down what you plan to eat today. It is eye opening just seeing how you're fueling to then make changes. And if you're under eating that may be holding you back so you may see you need to do my other tips of ADDING IN :-) And then start with a small change to your activity level as I mention. Go for a walk even. Do 5 minutes of something. Little swaps add up. Always here if you need anything. And if you do have aches and pains, I hope you're going to see someone. As often getting moving with mobility work can pay off. Remember, whether we believe we can or we can't make a change, we are right. I think you have so many opportunities for little tweaks you can even start today to feel your best. And if you are curious about macros specifically, here is a great article to help - redefiningstrength.com/fhp-s2e21-starting-to-count-macros-5-tips-for-beginners/

    Unfortunately, at certain age it’s more flattering to have that stubborn fat than to sacrifice your younger looking face. 😢
