I saw the All-Blacks play in the Rugby WC in Japan. It was my first rugby match. Seeing them play up close was awesome. I got to see Fiji, Australia, and England, too. There needs to be more tours like this in the US. As you can see from the crowd, Americans will show up to watch it.
From Chicago. Never played rugby and neither have my friends or people I know, but one thing I can say is that 95 percent of the people I know also know of The All Blacks.
As a South African I have huge respect for NZ and Fiji and I love Tonga-rugby. Very nice video to see the human side of players, which one usually only see as opposition. Hope America does well with their rugby in the coming years as they are the hosts in 2031.
I'm an American and I started watching NZ rugby a little over a year ago with the end of the Super season and then followed the ABs thru the summer and into the World Cup. I watched all of this years Super season. I am glad they came to America (Next time maybe Chicago for us mid-westerners). I would have loved to see them but San Diego was a bit far for us. I am hooked on NZ rugby. Go All Blacks!!
As a University of South Carolina fan we had to face Todd Gurey who played for our cross-border rival Georgia every season and he was an absolute beast. The fact that all three of the AB's look bigger or at least the same size as Gurley is impressive.
This was so fun to watch and I love the way you showed my hometown San Diego. I had to work that night but man I would’ve love to have been there to support the All Blacks
Very proud of our All Black's win or lose. It's GREAT to see Pasilio Tosi in the All Black's and to see him on GOOD MORNING San Diego. My son Nathaniel Payton played Rugby with and againest Pasilio as a young player. He was such a gentle giant even as a young Rugby player. Our AB's are such humble men who wear the jersey with pride. 🏉 I would love to see the All Black's team play Grid Iron against an American team and vice versa the American Grid Iron team playing Rugby againest us. 🏈 😊
You should give rugby league a watch as well, great pace like union with a slightly different structure. I thoroughly enjoy playing and watching both codes/games. The NRL is starting their season in Vegas in early March next year
Brother and no disrespect to Fiji but that game was a minor compared to playing other countries and yes definitely give rugby league a watch too. Much more exciting and I suggest watching the nrl if you do watch some league
If the NFL team suited up to play a game of rugby, the All Blacks would destroy the NFL team. If the All Blacks suited up to play an NFL football game, the NFL team would destroy them.
You guys should come to Jacksonville sometime - our Axemen team would appreciate the visit😊 Besides, seeing the famous All-Blacks up-close would damn well be one of the coolest experiences ever🤘🏾🤘🏾😎😎
Class teams. Have followed rugby for quite a while now. Slowly like a gravitational force began to follow NZ , Australian and area island rugby ( Moana Pasifika,Fijian Drua). Hope teams can come play in Canada and the US more often. Think Hawai'i would field a good state team. Go All Blacks
Rugby is an endurance sport. Constant running means less intense hits and tackles. Gridiron is an explosive sport, which means less activity, but you put everything into every single tackle and every single play.
I forget how prized Los Angeles and San Diego are to foreigners. Especially growing up in Miami another popular one, many see like something glorious, wonder what catches their eye.
The one team in the world that shows us how white and black, brown, yellow and green people get along. Our All Blacks are great advocates for racial peace. I really love our guys that shows the harmony within the team both on and off the field. I am just one of 5 million that is proud for our little country and how far we have come together. Lets not lose that. We are unique in this world. Kia kaha Aotearoa ☺
You are right to be proud. I would say that your sentiments can be applied to almost All International Rugby Teams. I'm a Brit, and I felt proud. of both teams highlighting the greatest of sports. Rugby is just special on so many levels.
I wish there was a Walter Camp American Football league. The All Blacks would be great at original gridiron football. No passing, but separated 'scrimmage' line spaces, blocking schemes and the system of downs remains.
Rugby is the sport that needs to get waaaay bigger here in the USA. We in the black community already play it as a past time as kids. We used to call it throw up tackle, but if we play with teams we call it throw back tackle, and could only lateral it backwards. some other places called it smear the queer, or kill the guy with the ball.
30 seconds of some out of town athletes messing around with a retired NFL player does not constitute a video with this title! I haven't seen a video mislabeled this badly since Mr. Beast.
Y'all should come play American football with the Trinity Trojans in Euless, Texas, home of a massive (7k!) Tongan population - the largest outside of Tonga, some claim. That would be so fun.

I can tell you right now as an American I've always appreciated rugby it is far far far far far far better than soccer sorry (Futbol) 😅. America should definitely start to adapt to this type of sport I would see Americans having a better chance creating a team and destroying other nations across the world rather than trying to put a soccer team together cuz nobody likes or play soccer around here lol All-American rugby team part of the league yeah America has the MLR but I want to see a team put together and go around the world and play the other rugby teams during their regular season
I'd love to see it but the advantage soccer has in the USA over rugby is lots of kids play it. No way American parents will let their kids play contact rugby, imagine the lawsuits.
To those who are looking at the comments wondering when they play football: they don't, stop wasting your time and make sure to leave a dislike for the outright lie
Very cool. I do like rugby they have an adult league in Maine. I wish they televised it more here. I thought about playing. I thought I was too old tho 😎🤟
I like watching both Football and Rugby. I think Rugby is a more constant grueling sport with more rough contact than Football... But the contract in football is way worse. No rugby player would want to run center field and get hit by John Lynch, or try to stop Marshawn Lynch for instance.
Knowing alot about the NFL and NZ Rugby, NFL players couldn't last 5 minutes on a rugby pitch to be fair. There's so much downtime in an NFL game. People may not realize this, but only 11 minutes of an NFL game are the players actually moving and the offense and defense rests. So maybe the offensive player is running 5 minutes per game at most and they have many subs for players.. Compare that to at constant offense and defense of a rugby player.
If only there was a NFL team in San Diego that could have hosted this squad….
😗😗😗😗😗😗
Hahahaha

You got Allen and Austin still right?
Yeah when I saw the Rams stuff I was like 🥲
There is something so very classy and dignified about the AB’s
it's that old world masculinity which was deemed to boring by american viewers
