- Fresh off leading France to a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, rugby star Antoine Dupont heads to the United States to spend 24 hours in the NFL with the LA Chargers. Experience Dupont’s journey in football as he visits the equipment room to try on quarterback Justin Herbert’s helmet, plays catch with Head Coach Jim Harbaugh, gets a lesson in kicking with kicker Cameron Dicker, meets outside linebacker Khalil Mack, and goes through one of Executive Director of Player Performance Ben Herbert’s workouts.

He's sooo understated and modest, which is ridiculous considering quite how exceptional he is.
Agreed. Such a humble guy. Very rarely see that in pro footballers
100% right...that's the rugby mindset.....a shame more American NFL guys don't have that mentality (some do) but a lot less than rugby
And since he was a bit bored in rugby XV, he went to the french 7 rugby team, which never won anything before, and eventually won Gold medal in Paris. What's so special about this player, is a bit like if an american football player could play top level QB, Tight end, wide receiver, running back, deffensive back and kicker. It's the first time in rugby history. There were incredible players in rugby history before indeed, but not able to play almost every position in rugby at top level. The guy is indeed a game changer since he can adapt the play depending of the instant and position on the field.
Nah hes mid😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'm a Boltz fan from the U.K and a rugby fan too. For all those Chargers fans who have never heard of this guy, he is the best rugby player on the planet, an absolute freak of nature.
So the Brady of rugby?
Or mahomes?
@@lilMikloyeah absolutely. On another planet for sure
@@lilMikloand down to earth too which is unsual for the superstars right now
I’m a Tongan chargers fan and I think it’s a good thing tuli didn’t see him. Mat’e ma’a Tonga
Irish Chargers fan here, I’m big into rugby too. A lot of the guys probably don’t realise they’re talking to the undisputed best rugby player in the world right now. Search Antoine Dupont highlight on TH-cam and you’ll realise what a beast this guy is. Speed, strength, skill, intelligence. Whole package and a game changer.
I was going to comment this exact comment except English not Irish.
Never done it in the southern hemisphere though
I didn’t see Pieter Steph du Toit in this video?
@ 😴🥱😴🥱
@@alexbishop2535 I’m not his agent, or even French, this doesn’t offend me 😂
I think it’s fairly undisputed he’s the world’s best rugby player right now though?
Dupont has finished the main mission and at this point doing sidequests. Love it!
The main mission is winning a world cup. He couldn't even win a semi.
@@tinymahuta dude... that's so pathetic. You can't win a World cup alone, so being the best player in the world, or in the history don't mean you'll win it.
And btw , he lost against the winners by 1 point with the worst ref of all time and with a chin fracture
He literally won every other titles possible
@@amaury784 The other titles don't mean anything. Chump change. If you want to be the best, you beat the best, consistently...and you're good enough to lead your team to a RWC victory. Not crash out early. The Boks have many players better than him, and I'm not even from SA.
@@tinymahuta South Africa win in 2023, thanks to the referee!
@amaury784😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂trash
I love amercain football i watch all highlights of college football and nfl.
From France. Dupont ❤🇨🇵
This guy on the rugby field is an absolute cheat code! Speed, power, footy IQ, the man has it all.
saturday 2 pm..france with Dupont vs the All Blacks...on peacock i think
Antoine Dupont un produit made in France !!!💪 THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD 🙏
Antoine Dupont, The best rugby player actually. 🇨🇵.
He seems so humble. Class act.
For those who don’t know this guy… he is a superstar who decided to spend last year with the rugby 7 team only to represent France in the Olympics and of course he won a gold medal… merciii Antoine
Love to see people from different sports come out and see how we play lowkey want to try rugby now🤣
You should !
Rugby would love you❤ best part of rugby the competition and the brotherhood you form with the everyone
Rugby is awesome. As an American that lives in Europe now my one true love was always football but learnt a lot about Rugby living here and it’s easily become my 2nd fav sport. I even went to multiple World Cup games in France last year. Their athletes are incredibly versatile and have crazy endurance. They often play for 50-80 mins straight without breaks (except half) and everyone on the field has to be able to catch, kick, tackle, juke, truck, etc. There’s no specialize doing just one skill, they do it all.
Dupont is a beast! I became a huge fan after watching his performance in the Olympics.
highly recommend anyone who doesnt know who antoine dupont is, please go watch his highlights.
He is mesmerizing. The best all-round player in the world.
@@superyid2010 saw your other comment, also a bolts fan from the uk, thought it was just my brothers and I ahah
Another one here @@liamthurlow 🤙
Antoine Dupont, the guy is the best rugby player and chill as hell. That guy shows himself as he is, not playing superstar. Love this guy!
Antoine out here completing side quests
Merci. Let's go Chargers ! Et arrêtez de torturer notre Dupont national !
Allez Antoine !! La France est derrière toi!! 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
When he said no way they can throw harder than the jug machine I was like oh buddy bring him out 😂
So humble for a guy who is literally the undisputed best in the world.
Wonderful to see our National hero welcome so warmly!
Antoine is an absolute gem and captains our France team on the biggest stages. Having “keys of the truck” as we say in french is a HUGE honour and responsibility. He s everything you wish for as a rugby player and a class act ❤ being scrum half in rugby is kinda like being a quarterback in us football : you have to take fast decisions while defenders are flying around to hurt you. But he s not only passing the ball, he goes at defenders, breaking the D line.
Unlike a QB he does have to tackle guys as well and trust me it s hard to get pass him 😂
i'm french and you made yourself a new fan
For context, this guy has a genuine case to be the GOAT in rugby. I've never seen a more skillful and complete 9 in my rugby watching life.
Zero case....but he's a great player top 3 current player past 3 years
@blankmedia01 He 100% has a case. He is the most complete scrum half ever
What an athlete, I don't think they realise the level this guy is at.
If they looked at how strong and amazing DuPont is in a game that would have been great. As an Aussie love/hate as he is such an amzing player and destroys our boys lol. Khalil is one of my fav NFL players (would been a great backrower in rugby) and thats the size of guy Antoine can tackle and put on his backside! Lot of respect from him, check out some of DuPont's footy. He is a beast!!!!
I agree but its written "Dupont"
@@mr.meeseeks2799 Excuse et moi sil vous plate mate lol!!!😂
@@justinm5972 No worries to have bro
some of the Saffas are writting "DuPoint" because he lost the QF by one point against them...
ahah
funny.
But we don"t care , the top 14, Hcup, 6 nations , and Olympics games count as much as the world cup for us. Each title is important
@@nico-qd9jz lol ahh gotcha! For sure some great games last few weeks been great!
Khalil Mack seems like a good lad off the field, on the field he's an absolute menace
The best no 9 on the planet❤❤❤.
Hello , nice video. As a french i understood what said Antoine Dupont in english...😄. He is currently one of the best rugby players in the world maybe currently the best. Great to see him have hollidays fun at an NFL practice facilities. Thanks you for sharing and All the Best.
Thanks for sharing this video! Chargerrrrrrrs, Bolt Up!!!!
what a stud!
Super interesting and cool. Hello to all Chargers fans!
All u rugby fans. Please become charger fans we need yall. 😂
Man!! I just love the Chargers vibe!! So chill and cooperative ❤❤❤
Don't let Cameron show him how to kick an extra point, somehow he has forgotten, lollol. Very cool, bet he'd be good at something. Thks for sharing.
Simply the best ❤
Antoine Dupont is a genius. I'm not talking about his rugby, but his IQ. He came here to further improve his level and his sport. It was a friendly exchange, but make no mistake. He has learned. His whole life is geared towards perfection.
We all love him in France, exceptional player and yet the most humble and down to earth, literaly goes shopping by himself in Toulouse !
Best player in Frances history.... truly a great
that guy would be a secret weapon in the NFL
Doing what exactly? I think dupont is perfect for rugby (game IQ, fitness, strength, skill) but I dont see him having much impact in american football.
@@2011hwalker For one, he could prob kick just as well (if not better) as most kickers in the league. My biggest takeaway from American football is the tendency for fans to be wowed by something that is basic in rugby, and which happens every week haha.
@@Rafael-xt1nm Yeah he would be a good kicker I agree. Most fly halfs in pro rugby could make it as a kicker tbh. They are very gifted.
this guy is so sweet
he's best rugby player in the world for those who don't know who he is
lol
Please more rugby crossover content. as a fan of both sports I love these videos
He can teach how to do the laterals correctly 😆
Sooo sick love to see how much he enjoyed it!
Coach Herbert has a killer stare
I thought the same haha
Coach Herb is ALWAYS intense 😂
The world's best rugby player right there...
Pieter Steph du Toit wasn’t in this video.
@@jameswyatt4443 Well that's because Pieter Steph isn't the best rugby player right now. Though he is definitely up there
@ The best player has to actually play a game outside of Europe for once.
Bro’s glazing the 9th most popular sport. 💀
@ Hahaha. American football isn’t even top 10 buddy.
Beautiful
4:20 now his career-long is 59 yards 🥹
He can play special team also he can be back up kicker and punter.
That core strenght though.
The best rugbyman in the world 😍
He is the best rugby player in the world. He's rugby's Messi. And he's a physical freak, but I have no idea what NFL position he could play?? I'm not sure he would slot in anywhere.
Running back i think. His explosivness would be a game changer.
Be serious. He’s the perfect build for a 9 in rugby but way too small to be a RB.
Rugby's Messi might be going a bit far? Maybe if he stays the world's best a few more seasons. Amazing player all the same
@@drewmis1 After watching him single handedly win Toulouse the European cup final last year I really think he is. Also he changed codes, went to 7's and won a Gold medal. So he has some major silverware, not exactly a world cup, but something very close to it!
@@jamesmarshall7513 Have you heard about Joe Morris for example ?
Get him on kick return!
Harbaugh has a good spiral pass 😂
Would love to see one of the big loose forwards like Ardie, Kolisior or Alldrit get into some LB or TE work
I wonder if they appreciate that they invited likely The future goat of rugby
The American guys are actually so nice! Seem like real down to earth fellas!
BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD
Maybe the Chargers fans don't know who this guy is...but in rugby he is possibly the best player of all time!!!
Not a chance. Please stop it.
Without question the best scrum half to play the game. He will be in the McCaw, Carter class by the time he hangs his boots up
The same clowns who say "he hasn't won world cup though" don't have clue. Messi would still be the goat without his World Cup win
Child please. He’s the best player in the game right now but never won a World Cup.
McCaw, Carter, Lomu are all above him in the GOAT rankings.
@@jamesmarshall7513 Classic Kiwi answer
Khalil picking him up hahahaha
sympa cette petite escapade dans une équipe de foot américain. Même en vacances, il travaille !
Someone is on a visit at your facility.
Coach Herbert: OK, let´s do some reps!
What’s his role with the chargers? Khalil Mack lookin at him like…”yea that’s food in practice”
Many bigger players that Khalil might have tough that but they learn the hard way they were the pray all allong
@ this guy is smaller and Khalil moved him effortlessly
Ok now I like Dupont a lot more 🍻🇿🇦
I still don't understand how rugby players survive a game without pads or helmets. That's a tough sport! I can only imagine how he would feel with all the protections...
Proper tackling you don’t get hurt. Football they don’t tackle properly with correct form cause they think they’re safe with the pads.
You have to wrap you arms in the tackle, it’s a lot safer because of that.
@ and head placement.
He would get injured by tackles and hits that are not allowed in rugby.
And the fact you can't be tackle if you don't have the ball ... In US Football, the fact you can tackle any times makes it unsafe, since your body isn't always prepared for tackle (and the fact you have 300lbs guy who are trained ONLY to be freight train in human form)
In Rugby, since you must have the ball to be tackle, you know someone coming for you, and this awareness "prepare" your body to be hurt, and make it safer.
Kind of same thing with boxing, the hardest punches are the ones you don't see coming.
je n'aurais jamais pensé voir ça🏉
If you have a chance , big match saturday for Dupont with Les Bleus playing against the All Blacks..it's always a huge game . If Dupont and France are on their game...Any Rugby connaiseur would tell you , that even more than Football, and France starts playing with the famous " French flair " , they are simply unbeatable...i think the match will be on peacock saturday 2 pm.
Damn he’s wearing an AP 🥶
No joke he could be a great nfl player. At least a third down back.
Antoine showing off ze tru french accent. ^^
I hope they googled him after. They would then realise they had the pleasure of meeting one of the best players to have played the game of rugby.
Dupont could definitely do a CMac or Edelman type role in the NFL if his hands are good enough
For those unfamiliar with Dupont, here are highlights of the second half of the Rugby 7s gold medal game at the recent Paris Olympics: th-cam.com/video/3AClLXPXLMw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=hELeEEv1d6L6gDUR&t=210. He came in as an impact substitute at the start of the second half and simply dominated.
58 yards is 58 meters…. Right
58 yards is 53 meters
how does it feel to live MYY DREAM
Well next year make him a charger
Maybe he will teach them how to scrum and scramble
58 yards is not like 58m , 58 yards is only 53m
I'm sure he'd be a good grade pro football player.😀
From chocolatine country and Triangle des bermudas
He's pretty much the messi of rugby
Cheeky tryout video
First non-bot.
🎉congratulations
dommage qu'il n'y est eu aucun gros jour de nfl qui soit venu
Only one single person I recognised. AD
58 yards are 53 meters.
Just for the record 😁
c'mon chargers, at least have a QB or receivers show up to trade passes with the rugby GOAT?!
Hmm...maybe he'll be available as a punter 🤔🔵🟡⚡️⚡️
58 yards is not 58 meters
They bring him in to challenge Mahomes aka Ricky Boobie. New punter? Really force special teams coordinators to respect the fake
I love rugby union, Canadian, American and Australian footballs, and absolutely hate rugby league.
let antoine played American football/... and he will win the superball the next year
58 yards is NOT 58 meters, Dicker...
Some New Zealanders thing TJ Perenara was better than him 😂😂😂😂
😂😂 I guess there are flat earthers everywhere
Dude would be a FB easily. Get him catching more live reps and he’d be a solid gadget player
He's 190 lbs, too small to be a FB
No way
very demure
58 yards is not 58 meters hahahah
FRENCHIES >>>>>
This guy is much more skilled than any of this Chargers team. Most American football players are limited to a few short bursts, with not much skill. This guy can do it all.
Nah NFL players are highly specialized for their specific positions. They aren't multi faceted like a rugby player but they are extremely skilled at what they do
I think you don't know what you're talking about. The average career length in the NFL is 3.5 years because it's extremely demanding and very hard to stay at the top. Dupont has one of the highest salaries in rugby worldwide (the second highest, I believe), and his salary is equivalent to the minimum wage of an NFL player with 0 years of experience.
