I freaking love how Bobby Singer somehow broke out of the Supernatural universe and became Vice President Robert (Bobby) Singer in The Boys universe XD
@@BurntCatFish He's actually the Creator of both shows (though he pretty much left Supernatural after Season 5). A lot of folks like to crap on it after that, but it was around Season Ten that it finally supplanted Buffy/Angel as my Favourite Show of All-Time (a meaningless accolade, to be sure, but an accolade nonetheless), a Title it holds to this day.
@@BurntCatFish THERE IS NOTHING "FUN" ABOUT THIS SICK AND DEPRAVED SERIES! THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW AGAINST MAKING SUCH GRATUITOUSLY VIOLENT SHOWS LIKE THIS AND CALLING IT "ENTERTAINMENT." IT IS NOT... IT IS JUST SICK.
No one hates humans more than Homelander so when he has real human emotion and feelings it creates extreme resentment towards himself. Such a well written character and Antony Starr's acting is incredible.
Technically incorrect. While it would be interesting if he was an opposite to Butcher in that way, he is more just uncaring towards humans. He loved Madelyn Stillwell without regret until she started focusing on Teddy and lying to him, and is completely neutral towards the average normal human. His agressive comments on humans from time to time are more based on his narcissism, because he has no filter when it comes to talking about how much better he is.
Laz Alonso's portrayal of OCD is really one of the best I've ever seen. People think it's just "omg i'm so quirky" but it can be so debilitating. This and Michael J. Fox's run on Scrubs are so strikingly similar to my own experiences.
The little kid in the home was Teddy Stillwell, as in Madelyn Stillwell's baby from season one. They said he was found safe after the explosion in a front yard a number of blocks away, but it never made sense that Homelander would take the time to save him from the explosion, he hated that baby. Now that we know he was a baby supe and could teleport that clears up a big issue with the ending of Season 1.
Oh I'm so happy you got to season 3, I still can't decide which season is my favorite, but this one has some great characters and characters development and even crazier (yes, CRAZIER) moments
Fucked up as it was, I loved the scene where Butcher killed Gunpowder, and not just because it showed us all of his powers and gave us an idea of where the story is going to go from there. I like it because, despite what is expected from the call that Hughie gave him when he says they have to do whatever it takes, it makes it clear that Butcher is still very much NOT a hero here. He knows enough about Gunpowder to know he isn't really a bad guy here. "Please... I-I told you everything I know." "I know you did. But it don't change what you are." He makes it clear that the he is just as motivated by a genocidal hatred for Supes as he is motivated by taking down Vought.
41:50 - "Is it normal to talk at the urinal?" - No. In fact, it's not even normal to take the urinal next to another guy if there are any free ones further away.
12:43: "You are the most sensitive squishy thing ever. You are the most sensitive person." Homelander really is an incredibly sensitive person. In all the wrong ways. 41:59: "Is it normal to talk at a urinal?" To quote Dr. Cox, "This is a men's room, there is ABSOLUTELY no talking!"
"Her name possibly used to be Nadia and then she changed it to Victoria cause it's a great name?" Yes, yes it is a Great name... 🤘👽🤘Great reaction channel as well, Queen V....❤
3:23 I didn't get that joke until now, the idea of A-Train asking someone "who are you wearing" when in the first episode he was literally wearing Robin after he ran through her
Yeah, I love her in call of duty too, I hope they continue the trend of bringing actors from COD into The Boys, I’m hoping for Alain Mesa or Maria Camargo are going to have characters in it
No, V; he did not disregard his child. Yes he was obsessing, but he was not disregarding his daughter. That's NOT why he was apologizing. He was apologizing because he let her see his anger issues. He lost his cool because of the fire alarm and scared her. But he was not - I repeat - was not disregarding her. forgetting about the food cooking isn't disregarding, that's just absent mindedness. He forgot about the food; it happens.
Cyclops doesn’t actually shoot lasers it’s pure kinetic energy, his eyes are a portal to a dimension of pure kinetic energy and the visor helps control it
I absolutely love when these reactions pop up! The parallels that the show starts to draw between today's... culture, we'll say, are pretty apt. I know it will be difficult to speak on them but it is cool to see. And your brief reaction, V, the "I see what they're doing." was perfectly handled. Looking forward to the next one ✌️
Its good that you finally got to season 3 since season 4 is already done. Make sure you do season 4 also. And don't forget that Gen V takes place between 3 and 4
whats the most funny thing to me in this show is the fact in a world where Superheroes and Villains are REAL people are still watching FICTIONAL STORIES with/about them
38:50 a well-made videogame about the slave trade with a good story, that goes deep into the personal details, stories and history would probably absolutely bang.
Hello Vicky, you look very lovely in white in both episodes!😊 I forgot this season started out with that crazy Termite guy!🤯 Plus, the end where Nadia? blows up that guys head in the alley!😱 There are 12 K-marts left, Vicky. They were bought by Sears years ago, who have similar remaining stores. Homelander finally being himself in front of everybody is very unexpected. EXCELLENT reactions to these episodes of The Boys, Vicky!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Oh sweet girl who thinks that 2 million per soldier will kill tax dollars. Do you know how much the US spent just in missiles to intercept the iranian missile/drone salvo that lasted like an hour back in april? One billion dollar.
"This is going to change the dynamic of the show", haha you're not wrong there but you sure as hell aren't ready for what's up next :) Gen V you should like more than The regular Boys haha but S4 will make you gag up for real maybe
It’s a video recorder, usually used on cable television, you can set your dvr to record a show at a certain time to you can miss it. Idk if you ever had cable, but if you do, then you know the pain of missing a show or movie you really wanted to watch. If you cable package had a DVR, you can just record the show and watch at it any point, so you don’t miss it. Edit: the joke being that for starlight, everyone will tune in live. While for Homelander, half of the people will want to DVR it, but not interested enough to care to watch it live.

Fun fact: Erik Kripke is the director of the boys and also a writer for supernatural. There's some recurring actors in the boys from supernatural.

Stan Edgar's relationship to homelander as a parental figure is the same as a troubled teen and his alcoholic father
"The fact that they're all able to pretend..." Hmmm. Very interesting choice of words there.

Yes, yes it is a Great name...

It's ALWAYS the "reshoots" and the "reshoots of reshoots" LOL LOL. That shit will always be funny; at least until it isn't.
Up until the sneeze, that was the most subdued response to Termites trip into the Great Beyond, I've seen! 😅

Been waiting for the next the boys reactions😂😂
And some people wonder why Newman doesnt attack Homelander. She allready struggled a bit to kill this weak random supe that knows her from the past.
Love these long format reactions, and your editing insight and humor are all on point!
License to Drive is lowkey a bop.
I had forgotten that Hughie is actually taller than Homelander.
41:58 this closed mouth giggle tho
I don't know if I should feel proud or worried with how well Vic is now handling some of these wild scenes.
Yes. It can get crazier. And does
Fun fact about…THAT scene with Termite? They built a practical set for it…let that sink in!
Season 3 is on its own separate caliber of show, its by far the most incredible season so far, i think youre really gonna enjoy this one!!!
After partway through episode one I had to walk away for several months…just too much.
24:16 I love how convinced you sounded saying that xD
It's nice going back to S3 for a while XD
Jack Quaid and Claudia Doumit have so much more chemistry. Love their scenes together
Dunno if anyone told you yet but Gen V should be watched before season 4. They tie in somewhat
