I made this for my in laws last night! It was a hit!!! I let it marinade for 24 hrs!! I served it with lemon rice, roasted veggies and cast iron potatoes. Oh and hummus ;) We grilled the chicken and it came out great!
Hi Yumna, Want to tell you this is the best chicken shawarma EVER, the 5 min in the cast Iron skillet makes really the difference. I did use only. Chicken breast and it was 10/10 😻 I did try your tahini sauce, your cilantro sauce and your baba ghanouch. All good, thanks a lot.. keep going girl.
I'm definitely trying this but I also have a request. While in Dubai I used to eat in a Lebanese restaurant and almost everytime it was that whole grilled chicken on roasteries. That was so delicious and juicy. Now I miss it so much. May I ask if you could give us authentic Arabic whole grilled chicken recipe please? Thank you
I tried your recipe last night and it was my first time trying chicken shawarma and omg it was AMAZING!!! Such amazing flavors that really work so well together and it's my new comfort food! Thank you so much for this perfect recipe!
I have made this for myself twice now (in like three days) and it is my new favorite way to cook chicken. It is super quick to put together and holds up as leftovers. I also used the spice mix and roasted some beans with it to add to the chicken on flat bread, and I am in awe of how good this is.
@@Feelgoodfoodie mam aren't of middle eastern origin you are so sweet your recipe looks so yummy but maam i am not satisfied with the Cooking part i don't like pan cooking 😂
This looks super delicious .for myself I would serve with home made humous, corriander sweet onion and tomato salad and olives .I have long metal skewers and will attempt to cook the chicken on the skewers after marinating them overnight and put them under my gas grill
Thank you I'll be making this in a chicken shawarma salad with the garlic spread and pita this week! My mouth is actually watering. I really miss the food quality diversity in ME. Here it's s just basic fried southern everything...which I find bland and greasy. Thankfully, I can cook and I've been slowly perfecting foods I cant get in Restaurants. God Bless you for these recipes. 🤩🌏
I made something similar once using a yogurt and lemon based marinade and left it overnight, I feel like it made the chicken too gritty and broken down almost? It had a strange texture.
Right spice for braised chicken, absolutely delicious food.
So I just made this recipe for the first time. Absolutely delicious!!
love the way you laid on the steps, very organized and user friendly
Just got your book at Barnes and Noble!!
Now I know what chicken I'm going to make this week !!😋
Let me know what you think once you give it a try!
@@Feelgoodfoodie sure !!🙂
This looks so delicious. All that's missing is the garlic sauce! Yummy. ❤😂
I will try inshAllah

Do you have a recipe for the garlic sauce to serve with it?
Hi Yuma, I started watching your videos and I really like them could please post more videos thank you 👍
Why is hers yellower than mine? Did she add tumeric??
Why didn't she give the exact measurements of the dry ingredients? And at what temperature does one bake the chicken, and for how long? 🤦🏻♀️
Hi! The recipe is in the video description with measurements and temperature to bake.
"Don't overcrowd the pan, else it will steam"...Proceeds to overcrowd the pan and steam it.. Where was the charing?...🤔
Is shwarma spicy

Yummy and easy to make for a week night dinner! I used a cast iron grill pan for nice grill marks on the chicken.
Yes, exactly! That's perfect!!
I made your recipe twice already. Sooooo good! I just added a 1/4 teaspoon of coriander because I just love the scent of it.

Is that pita or corn/wheat tortillas?
That's pita bread (well technically it's Arabic bread cause Pita bread is usually thicker and puffier)
Thank you for the recipe. I'm so excited to add this to my list. 👍
