L/S pan as field gets away at the start. M/S as they come towards camera and pass in a cloud of dust. M/S crowd. L/S group coming over very hilly section of course. L/S No.21 Jeff Smith coming through sandpit. L/S pan No.17 J. Teuwissen coming through. L/S two more riders passing through. L/S pan three riders coming up steep hill. L/S as another rider almost comes off as he goes up hill. L/S as another rider rides up hill, he hits a pile of dirt throwing it into crowd.
    L/S Jeff Smith coming through bend followed by Arthur Lampkin. L/S No.29 John Burton coming through bend followed by No.8. M/S pan John Giles coming through bend. M/S as No.20 comes through bend. L/S from behind as three riders jump over small hill. M/S crowd. L/S as eight bikes come through dip and leap out. L/S as Jeff Smith comes leaping out of the dip followed by Vic Eastwood and Don Rickman. L/S as Jeff Smith crosses finish. M/S as crowds applaud. Various shots as Sir Alexandra Stanier presents Jeff Smith with trophy. C/U Smith and trophy.
