You SIMPLY HAVE TO TRY These Focus & Concentration Exercises For Mental Control During Meditation

  • Memory-based meditation, which is the best meditation I've ever known, is not without its challenges.
Focus and concentration can slip, leading to frustration.
Although you can get great mindfulness practice from frustration, that's ultimately the opposite of the peace and bliss that meditation can bring.
Especially when you're using memory based meditation to experience deeper levels of positive transformation...
That lead to deeper levels of clarity, focus and concentration. Perhaps even that immeasurable light that the ancient books discuss, glimpses of which I've seen and extended myself.

On the other hand, the internet allows us to learn about your techniques!
It's like the external world. It can distract us or we can work with it in very conscious manner.

Its many blessings are indeed on my mind daily. There is perhaps a clue in your point - namely that we would do well never to take its utility for granted (something that seems to be happening a lot at a widely increasing scale).

Yes, using the hands is so powerful.
I still remember the rules for conducting meetings that Tyson Yunkaporta discussed in his book and we talked about here:
      th-cam.com/video/R_--IAZz410/w-d-xo.html
The only issue is that hands run out of space fairly quickly... though you can always imagine using the hands of countless Bridging Figures and "mentally teleport" into them.

Hey Dr. Anthony Metivie. I've gone throught couple of videos of yours and found few information things.

Please! Please! I pray you. Please give me solutions to improve memory and overall cognitive and thinking and reasoning function of brain. Please i pray you my life had have been harded. Whenever i think about my brain and problems in day to day life, i almost get tears in my eyes thinking i might have Alziemer's or Dementia.
I've also been meditating for a long time and i think my focus has become much better. But my recalling ability and reasoning ability is at a state which gives me nightmare whenever i think about them.

      Thanks for your post.
My channel is packed with solutions, and there's more to come. I'm not sure what further I can give, but if you keep studying and implementing memory techniques, chances are you'll be able to turn things around for yourself.
In terms of having thoughts that concern you, my TEDx has suggestions for how you can possibly turn that off:
      th-cam.com/video/kvtYjdriSpM/w-d-xo.html
Do you think the approach I discuss there might be worth exploring?

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM
      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

You don't actually have to "see" anything in your mind to use memory techniques. There are other options.
You're very welcome to register and go through the guided meditation as many times as you would like. It might help you sharpen the visualization skills you do have, but this is again not a requirement for using memory techniques. Not at all.
