      +Anamaria Dan (Dana) So this is how I did it with my rabbit and it turned pretty successful first lock them in there cage for a day (which means no outside time) then the next find out where he pooped and peed the most then put a litter tray there you'll find out quickly that they'll certainly appreciate having there own place to do there business because there are such clean animals. Keep in mind that usually they won't be COMPLETELY litter trained but usually they'll poo a tiny bit out of the litter tray but there pretty easy to pop into the tray.

      Four years isn't too short of a life span. Some rabbits do have short lifespans. I'm sure you can improve the care, but it might not have completely been your fault.

      you can have all different breeds of rabbits in one cage, as long as they are neutered or spayed so they don't fight (boys) or get uterus cancer (girls)

    Omg how did that rabbit stay so still during this entire video xD I can hold my rabbit for about 3 minutes before he gets too wiggly. But that's also understandable because they are prey animals and most don't really prefer to be picked up, but I guess your rabbit is just super comfortable with you which is nice to see :)

    Syrian Hamster care please !

  • @wraydo01
    @wraydo01 7 ปีที่แล้ว +44

    Anyone who owns small animals or is planning on getting one, PLEASE READ (this regards exercise balls, or hamster balls.)
    those things are death traps. Small animals explore the world by touching, by smelling, by being present to their surroundings. Exercise balls restrict all of those. small animals have delicate respritory systems, and need lots of air flow, and exercise balls have EXTREMELY poor ventilation. I once knew someone's hamster who died of suffication in one of those things. and because of that poor air flow, it gets dangerously hot. for animals like chinchillas who cannot tolerate heat, they not only will be in uncomfortable levels of heat, even health threatening, they can die just from the heat. for animals like guinea pigs, their backs can literally snap from the unnatural curve. do you want to snap your beloved pets back? so, with all this, the stress you're putting your pet through by putting them in those "exercise wheels" is barbaric. I may be one sided, but what good comes out of those things? watching your pet freak out wondering what the heck is happening while you stand by and laugh? we love our pets so we have to treat them safely and respectfully. thank you for reading this whole thing (read: rant :-P ) and lets make our fur babies lives a better one. 🐭🐹🐰🐀🐇🐁

    +Happy Tails do you live on a farm or do you have a modern day house. Also, are rabbits okay to be outside where there ARE fences, but fences they could easily get through? or would you need to train them in an enclosed area outside on grass and bring one of those cage enclosures with no roof. Just wondering!

      Daney Doughnut Bryleigh Parkinson Choi Dohyun If u do PLEASE do not listen to anything she is saying besides the information about the vaccines. Rabbits should be fed timothy based pellets and very little. If they are past 6 months old they should be fed timothy, oat, and orchard hay. Keeping them outside free range can be dangerous and prevent a strong bond with your rabbit. Neutering and spaying is the HEALTHIEST option. Feed them LEAFY greens. Limit sugary foods like apples and carrots.

Neutering and spaying is the HEALTHIEST option. Feed them LEAFY greens. Limit sugary foods like apples and carrots. A temp over 85 can give them heatstroke. The cage must not have a wire bottom. Look up “sore hocks” and u will see why. They should be able to stand up completely, hope 4 hops from the front to the back of the cage and 6-8 from one side to the other.

    I really really really want a pet bunny and I would pay the money I have more than enough and I have been taking care of bunnies my hole life since I was 3. I am 9 now. That’s six years I have dogs and cats of my own and I can handle them besides, I have anxiety and S.A.D. It’s a mental health problem. I need a emotional support pet and a new pet bunny is the best way to do it. And I have plenty of carrots and cabbage in my garden in my back yard! And I have plenty of room in my bedroom. So imma tell all of this to my mom and listen to your playlist about rabbits and bunnies. Thanks for educating kids about animals and I am super responsible with 2 dogs and 3 cats that I help take care of every day! I think I’m ready for a bunny.

    I had a pair of bonded rabbits and both lived to at least 12, 1 is still alive. They were a male/female bonded pair, so they were spayed and neutered. The male still marked, but he sprayed before neutering and stopped once he was snipped. I don't feed them anything other than hay and pellets because fruits and veggies always seemed to upset their stomachs and made their poop smell really bad. I noticed that the biggest thing with them is to keep their diet consistent. Maybe not when they were younger, but since both of mine have been geriatric for 4 years, they do best on manna pro pellets and some timothy hay. They have never had GI stasis or any other problems like that, and I think it is because I have been extremely consistent with their diet.

      Happy Tails because of my allergies, this isn't possible. My husband and I do climb into her pen and play with her.
      We allow her into the living room, but only for a couple of hours a day. And because she wasn't in a pen with other bunnies when I adopted her, it's almost like she doesn't even know what she is missing. We keep the radio on for her during the day, stuffed toy that she actually cleans, and electric candles to keep her comfortable at night. If you have any other suggestions that would prevent loneliness, that would be helpful

      Brooklyn Heller No. PLEASE do not listen to anything she is saying besides the information about the vaccines. It is important to have at least 2

      Happy Tails rabbits are NOT some training objects for children to practice there responsibility! I have seen a lot and I mean A LOT of helpless rabbits being abused and neglected. Thank GOD that the laws were I live says: Must have an enclosure 3*3,5 m, Children are not allowed to buy any animals, Shops are not allowed to sell rabbits, breeders ( that must follow "breeding laws" ) can refuse to sell a rabbit to a bad home.

    • @HappyTailsAnimals
      @HappyTailsAnimals  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Who said they are training objects?
      Yes I have seem tons of abused animals since I rescue, foster, adopt and rehome. Adults can be terrible huh?!(since you didn't actually say this had to do with children...lol)
      I think you should thank your representatives not god since it was elected people that put the laws in place. Yes the same thing is here in America, kids can't drive themselves to pet stores to buy pets.
      None of this actually supports your opinion that kids should not own rabbits. Maybe you should realize that some kids are very mature and can handle it. You are very biased.

      That depends a great deal on the child, doesn't it? Rough and boisterous treatment will probably be fatal to the rabbit but not all kids are like that.

    I know this is an old video but, what size hutch would you recommend for one large lion head and once mini lop? the hutch currently have is 2 story's and I got it from fleet farm it's pretty big for one bunny but I'm not sure about 2 ( My buns might even able to be free range) also do you have a bunny bonding video?

    I recused a white rabbit with brown left eye with a brown ring around eye and a brown streak running up his left ear. His right eye is blue and no markings on him. He is white all over. He is medium size and ears usually stay erect except when listening for noises. Do you know what breed of rabbit he is? I've search the internet but found nothing.People keep telling me I should get him neutered. He is the only rabbit I have and see no need but they say he will get sick and die early if I don't. Should I get him neuter? He is my first pet rabbit. I would appreciate your advice. He is a very gentle and loving rabbit. He lives in a 2 story hutch under a breezeway outside my door and I have a play yard for him where we spend a lot of time playing. I've only had him since last October. A friend of mine was going to turn him over to a shelter and since I'm against killing perfectly healthy animals adopted him. I would appreciate any advice you have to give me. I've been learning about his care and needs through the internet. Thank you for your time. You can pm me through facebook. Patricia Wogomon. My rabbits name is Clyde.

      patricia wogomon maybe a Rex rabbit or it could be a mix of Rex and something else also I would get him neutered just to be safe there are health benifits that come with neutering a rabbit also he will not spray and the smell of pee will be gone😀
