Hello. The Loop is a French game. In French, his name is Dr. Foo which we pronounce like in this video. "Fou" literally means "Crazy" (probably where the word "Fool" comes from). It's also to make it sound similar in pronunciation to Dr. Who. They changed his name in English to a French word so I agree that "Faux" is meant to be pronounced more like "Foe" ("Faux" means "Fake") but I would say that technically, both pronunciations should be accepted. Anyway, one way or another, it doesn't change the gameplay. :)

Faux is French for imitation or fake.
