sorry, i have this film and I LOVE IT every second. vivien is soooo beautiful here, one of the rare chances to see her in color, and the dialogue is wonderful. it,s rather theatrical., yes, BUT..how many of us had the chance to see vivien in a theatre??. oh, thank God it was decided to film it!!. carlos
You have a point, Carlos, in reminding me that Vivien only filmed three movies in colour. Elephant Walk can't be taken into account, since her part was deleted. So, the only shots in colour of Vivien are in GWTW, Deep Blue Sea and Roman Spring... So sad !
@Tanguynew08 absolutely right, as always. vivien is a creature to be seen in color. she appears ravishing!!...but, in waterloo bridge..she shines also in black and white. and i think that streetcar MUST be done in black and white also, it helps the story. but...lady hamilton, anna karenina, ship of fools...must be done in color. we have caesar and cleopatra in color too!!...i forgot!!. thanks tanguy, as always, my friend. carlos
Vivien thought she hade made a mistake doing "Deep Blue Sea". It was part of the roles she regretted having done, with "Anna Karenina" and "Look after Lulu" on stage. Although I really appreciate Rattigan as an author, and other pictures by Litvack, I don't like that one.

Just curious as to why you used Max Steiner's opening credits theme from "Since You Went Away" for the background music.
