How to calculating for number blocks for building?

This is how you count one wall, find its height. and the height of your block, you will put one inch of cement in between for example. so add one inch to the height of your block. now divide the wall height by the height of your calculated block, you get number A.
it is a rectangle, so work on the length of this rectangle. it is number A, A times B will be the number of blocks you will need. roughly. because usually you have to cut the top row to fit the real wall, you may need more or less.
